I went to Nails Today yesterday for a manicure and pedicure with regular polish, and the total came out to $55, which I thought was pretty reasonable. I didn't make an appointment, but it seems like appointments are preferred. When I walked in, the place wasn't crowded at all. There was only one other person being serviced, and another client came in while I was there, so it made for a calm and relaxed experience. Dao did my nails and she did a great job. She was attentive, gentle, and made sure everything looked neat and clean. The salon itself was very clean, which I always appreciate. It's not a super upscale nail salon, but honestly it's a solid, basic spot and that's all I really need sometimes. One thing to note is the parking lot is small, so there isn't a ton of parking available, but it was manageable when I went. It was a good experience and I would come back. read more

BEST PEDICURE!! I have been hunting for the best pedicure in LB for a while now. This place has the best (by far) I've had. The lady gives a killer massage. I like when the massage is slightly strong, not just rubbing the lotion around, but actually massaging- and she does that. It's super affordable, I always do the Deluxe Pedicure ($37) and it is worth every penny. They prefer cash, but do take card. Help them out and bring cash if you can. Love this nail salon and the women who work here. So nice to be back here with my mom after a year of not being able to. You walk into the salon and everything is very clean. There is at least six feet between you and the person to your side as every other massage chair is blocked off as is each nail station. Dao gave me a Pedicure and a manicure. The color we choose was pretty. During the manicure she complained about the owner of the building not allowing them to have water and on Monday June 24 2024 she had to cancel and close business. The reason is that the new building owner didn't pay the water bill so the business owners had to close their businesses the Terri Bamboo House was extremely limited as to what they could sell as well. When I got home I washed my hands after using the restroom 3 times. The next morning I took a shower and washed my hair. I washed dishes with 2 pair of gloves on. I noticed my nail polish chipped on both hands. I paid $42 plus a $3 tip = $45. There is no reason the polish should have chipped. I went back this morning to see her. (she was not in) and then I called the phone number and another female answered the phone and asked me to come back later around 1pm. I had my nails done because I am going to an event and expected my polish to last at damn least 2 days with careful care. BUT IT DIDN'T! i WANTED TO BUY THE POLISH, BUT THE OTHER FEMALE didn't know what to charge me and I was unable to go into the shop. Wardlow and Atlantic in Long Beach, I used to go to long ago with a different nail tech. Everything is an additional charge for this or that or the other. So I went to Target to get some polish that could possible match! I'm not that happy with the results. But, I have to think twice if I am going to go back to Nails Today. read more

I believe they had a grand re-opening. When I went (Saturday at 10), there were only two ladies working. They had me sit by the manicure tables. Waited about 20 minutes for them to finish with their previous client. Parking lot is small and is shared with a donut shop and two other restaurants (I believe). When one lady finished with the previous client' manicure, she started mine at the chair and table. Ok, that's fine. After prepping my nails she moved me to the chair the previous client was sitting at....uhh wth! Warm seat I guess :/ Upon observation, they do NOT sanitize their equipment. I noticed that the lady just went to the back sink to wash the tools. After seeing that with my eyes, I instructed them not to cut my cuticles or scrub my feet (yes, they reuse the stone as well) So, my total for a gel manicure and regular pedicure was $39 (they did NOT let me use the massage feature of the chair). The sign said regular spa mani and pedi is $24 (gel was $5 and higher). They spoke in Vietnamese to each other exclusively so no idea what they were talking about. Their work was great, but their lack of sanitizing equipment properly has deterred me from coming back. I will NOT return. read more

Isn't that the whole idea of calling it a 'spa' pedicure, the feeling of relaxation you get when the massage chair is massaging through all those stress knots on your back, helping you to unwind from the daily worries in life? Hmmmmm. So let me break it down as to how I've come up with my review: 3 Stars for sitting in a massage chair that doesn't work and instead feeling the massage balls nudge me in the back. I feel so gypped! 3 Stars for trying to find parking in this busy shopping center and ambiance of the place. Yes, ambiance. The idea of creating a relaxing atmosphere so I can RELAX. 4 Stars for the girl meticulously taking her time to scrub, clean, and treat my feet and toenails. Thank you! 5 Stars for the hand massage on my legs and feet. What took this over the top was that she took her time and used warm lotion, then finished it with a warm towel around each of my legs...For a few minutes I forgot I was in a broken chair. WOW. Nice! 3 Stars for having to pay cash in the tip. Also I think their rates have changed. I was charged $14 for a 'spa' pedicure, plus tip. I'll write this while it's still fresh and I'm still pissed off. I was just in your salon and left to "go to the bank" so I could get out and not give you my business. I called ahead to make sure you could take me and I'm right down the street. I am also 35 weeks pregnant with twins and haven't had the joy of leaving the house for anything special for weeks since I'm on bedrest. Just getting in the car and getting to your salon was a really big ordeal, but since I don't have much time left until I'll be in the hospital giving birth (and can't reach my own toes), I thought it would all be worth it. I walked into Nails Today and the salon was empty but 3 people; it was clear that all 3 worked there. Two were doing the nails of the 3rd , one on each hand. I don't know if the recipient of the manicure was the owner, but if you are, you clearly could care less about doing business. I was told to sit and wait. As the clock ticked I could tell you were in no hurry to get to me. Sitting in my very pregnant condition is a wonderful challenge all on its own. The only sitting I wanted to do was in a spa chair. Turns out getting your own nails done was much more important... and couldn't one of the TWO doing your nails have helped me, and the other finish your fancy nails? I won't have another time for a pedicure soon and probably won't have a chance again for quite some time, but when I do, I will never, ever, give you my business - regardless of how close I live to your salon. How many manicurists does it take to remove nail polish? I wouldn't know, but I know it takes at least three people deep to turn a simple polish remover into WWIII. They should rename their place Nails Tomorrow, or Nails Next Week, because getting service in there is like waiting for paint to dry. I was on my way to an appointment, and wanted to remove the polish from my hands. No, I don't want clear polish No I don't want a manicure No I don't want a pedicure No I don't want gel. I want a simple polish remove. I walked in and out of three people working there, only one person was working. One of the other women that were not working asking me what I wanted, to which I then requested they take off my polish. From there, the manicurist went to the back whispering and staring at me like I had stolen something. Who I perceived to be the owner, came to the front and asked me what I wanted. I said "someone to remove my polish". She told me the cost (five dollars), and then asked me did I want a manicure. I said no, I want someone to remove the polish from my nails. The ladies then spoke again in another language and turned to me and asked me did I want a manicure (again). The other lady who was doing the other woman's nails was running the spa chair water bin for me. No, I do not want a pedicure, I someone to take the polish off my hands and to please hurry up I am on my way somewhere. She then proceeds to tell me that it was five dollars, and then I finally said "Are you going to take my polish off or not?" By this time I had already stood up. She said okay, okay, you should have just said so. I walked out of there, but not without letting them know that I would be posting a review on yelp and spa finder, and if you didn't have to pay for Angie's list (which is ridiculous), they would be getting clowned on there as well. I'm pretty sure they didn't understand in full what I was saying, but nevertheless, I am making my point on here. I am certain they are still in business because they occupy an area that includes a car wash, oil change place, and near a major freeway. Don't waste your time with their tomfoolery. read more

I think I just found my new favorite nail salon! I don't know about the $13 pedis (as mentioned in other reviews) but it was well worth the money spent today! I got a spa pedi with callus' removed and got my 5 year old a polish on both hands and feet, we both got a design and it came out to $34. Not too bad if you ask me! The lovely lady was very thourough with digging the dirt out from under my toes and cleaning my feet, I feel like I got a brand new pair of feet. She also did an awsome job with the design, the last nail salon I went to I came out with the exact same design 2 times in a row! That's when I realized they had limited capabilities and decided to go elsewhere, and so I came accross this place on Yelp! My only complaint was that it was a little on the warm side and their spa chairs need to have the material replaced, it's cracking. But other than that it was a nice relaxing experience and I'll definately be back! P.S. I don't know what was up with the lotion, but my legs broke out in a rash. I came here today to get my silk wrap nails taken off and to get a mani/pedi! I enjoyed every minute of it! There's a new lady named Kim who was incredibly sweet and friendly. She took care of my manicure and silk wrap removal while Dao took care of my pedicure. I just want to mention that Kim was extremely gentle when she was taking my silk wrap off and spoke English pretty well. Dao did a very good job with my pedicure too. Both Kim and Dao took their time on me and didn't lack on the massages either, which is my favorite part! (I was in the here for nearly 2 hours!) They both even gave me tips on how to reduce callus formation as well as ancient home remedies for my dermatitis and eczema! Fun fact: Kim is Dao's (the owner) aunt! Coming here today made me realize that I should come in more often and forget about the other nail salons! They raised their prices by just a smidge ($22 for spa mani/pedi, compared to when it was just $20) but they are totally worth it. Trust and believe! read more
