I used to come here a while back to get my nails done with my friends but it's been a few years. My boyfriend and I wanted to get our toes done and since we were in the area we came here. It was right before noon and surprisingly there weren't many people so we were seated and assisted right away. They had a wall of regular nail colors to chose from but I felt that there wasn't much variation in colors. The pedicures were a decent price. We got a regular pedi ($14) with callous removed (+$5) and because my boyfriend didn't want to choose a color... he got his toe nails buffed instead (+$5) This place is pretty big and clean, I'm sure wait wouldn't be very long as long as there are nail techs available. The bathroom has a urinal, I never seen that before lol but cool. The techs are nice and knowledgeable. The shop is facing a busy street so there's only street parking, we parked on Coronado. Very nice staff that make the pedicure experience so relaxing. Everything is very clean and they have a nice fish tank and a TV to keep you entertained as well. They welcome walk ins but sometimes I call ahead of time to make an appointment if I know I'm going to be on a time crunch! The prices are also extremely reasonable. I've been going to AP Nails since 2011. I've tried other nails salons but none of them can compare to AP Nails. Their gel polish lasts a long time, their pricing is fair, they take their time to give you quality nails, and I've never had a chip on my polish. I sometimes go a month and they still look fine. This place is great. I was looking for a nail shop that uses permanent gel. I called about a dozen places and i found this nail shop. i think i paid $60 for a permanent gel mani and regular gel pedi. My nail look great lost of compliments and inquires if they are natural. Pedi was good also. Parking is street parking. They take credit cards. They are closed sunday. I like to go early Friday's before the crowd gets there. I also like that several technicians are available so you can get a seat without terribly long waits. I'm honestly quite disappointed in my experience here and I did expect better due to the reviews. My mom and I came here and both got manicures and pedicures on Saturday at 12:20 PM, we didn't leave until 3:15PM. The pedicures were perfectly fine and lasted no more than 45 minutes. My moms manicure was good, but she did have to ask to get a few things fixed and so did I. It wasn't until I got home that I was able to fully inspect my nails. Some were thin, some were thick, some were flat and others were bumpy. One nail has bubbles and two are already almost coming off after 3 days, I have a desk job so no I'm not wearing down the nails. The nails weren't painted all around the edges and the gel wasn't cleaned off the bottom of the nails. The lady that did my nails was new or not comfortable doing acrylic nails and took about 2 hours to do them, I showed her pictures a few times to help but she started to paint all my nails fully and had to tell her to stop and showed her what I wanted again. I had to ask her to fix a few nails as well after she was done. I'm glad that at least from looking at my hand my nails look good but once you look at them closely do you see small issues here and there. I paid $87 for my manicure and pedicure, I got the basic pedicure so my manicure was about $52, I'm not happy with what I got; however the pedicures were great and my mom's manicure was good hence the three stars. I had update update this review because the nails only lasted 4 days, didn't even make it to Valentine's Day which was the whole point of getting my nails done. honestly really disappointed. read more

Used to book with Le all the time, but found out she's no longer here. So I got paired with a different artist today- Service was rushed. She did not tend to my nails as Le normally would have. Feel like I got half the services I should have gotten. Rude and could have cared less about the pains I've been feeling with my ingrown toenail. If it had only been one cut, I probably could have ignored it but there were 3. Not sure if she was rushing or just couldn't see until the bleeding began. Have I really gotten my nails done here three times? I don't frequently get my nails done, as I am a nurse and I wash my hands constantly! So nail polish won't stay for long, unless I get a gel manicure. However, we are discouraged from getting gel nails at work as well. I'm usually not the one to write bad reviews but this lady botched my nails and up charged me for sure. I'm going to a wedding and I even asked her to do a French tip instead of the design I wanted since it was a little too hard for her to do. I understand there was a language barrier and I was being more than patient but damn she really messed it up. She scammed me and said it was $70 for the whole mani and pedi and I was lessed than pleased with her manicure job. I expressed so many times politely to just do an easier nail design but she kept insisting. I was already there at the salon for 1.5 hours and had to work that night . I wanted a regular mani ($19) and regular pedi ($19). To add gel was an extra $11 for each set. She had to remove gel off my toes which was $1-2 give or take. She charged me $70. I would only stick to Kevin or Annie for this place. Dont trust the other ladies. read more

The ONLY reason I gave this place 2 starts is because the owners seem really sweet. But the lady on chair 6 was soooo rude from the beginning. I was cut on my pedicure several times and she would just get bothered when I said ouch. Then when she was doing my manicure and I asked if she could fully remove the acrylic she gave me an attitude and still did not do it! Yes I paid full price. And yes I still tipped her. Love Annie and Kevin they are the owners. They are so sweet and do an excellent job! Their son and daughter are in some time and also have extremely great customer service.One of my best girlfriends told me about this place so we always book our appointments together and come every two weeks. They are also priced very well. Most important thing to me is customer service and pricing.Theres only one lady who has a bad attitude. She does pedicures. All the other women are always nice and smiling. Can't let one bad apple spoil it right. It won't stop me from coming . Only other Con is parking it sucks. AVOID THIS NAIL SALON. I have been coming here for years and have always been a satisfied customer. Annie and Kevin are the nicest business owners. However, there are new nail techs working here who have no regard to the customer and are so rude. I came in for my scheduled 9:15 appointment today and the tech that I was assigned was so rude. I asked her for her opinion in picking out a color and then got defensive when I was honest and didn't like what she picked out. Only thing is, I wish she cleaned a little more to remove the nail corners to prevent ingrown--that's why I provided a 4 only because I've had other locations thoroughly provide that and snip away at any excess dead skin around nail bed (cuticles, etc). I've been out in SoCal a couple years now and reside in LB. I have yet to find a nail salon to call home and I think today just may be the day I make my mind up to have AP nails be it! This is my first initial visit and I'm definitely satisfied, plus they open early enough for someone like myself who is on the go and doesn't like to make appts for such services. (I'm sometimes impatient, unless I do like you and have a considerable amount of time, I am willing to make appts) It was a friendly and calm atmosphere. Prices I believe are to be reasonable as well. (I.e. Coffin nails+regular gel polish, a location in signal hill next to Starbucks and food 4 less, charged me $43 for that alone...) I wish I had a photo to prove that they were somewhat decent looking, but price wise does not match up to the quality because they were uneven and I got nicked quite a few times. (Its inevitable for slight minor nicks...but Kevin at AP nails was mindful of that and I got zero nicks). Overall, if you're looking around for nail salons, I do recommend them because I know I will be coming back. If they don't talk much, no problem. As a customer who walked-in, I'm very appreciative of the quality of my end results and this post is to provide you just that. Good luck! Also, there is another nail salon in the same vicinity called Vicky's? I've gone there once already and I don't recommend them if you're considering because I look for cleanliness and also my past experience I was left with a sore left middle finger due to the gentleman filing over it twice when I exclaimed it hurt the first time he continued to go over the same area without examining the cause. My friend and I had an appointment at 1:30 today and we were seated immediately right when we came inside, yay! Despite how busy they were starting to be, we were served right away too. I came to get a new set of acrylics since I needed a fill plus my old set was done horribly. I had Annie work on my nails and she was really nice to talk to. I'm Vietnamese and she was to so we got along well. I wanted a gel french manicure and I didn't know what shape I wanted (I ended up with coffin) and she was very cautious to make sure the shape and polish were "perfect". Within an hour and 20 minutes, I was done! Thanks Annie! I took off one star because her filing actually hurt my nails and one of them bled (my friend complained about the filing too which was done by another lady. I got none of these questions. I trusted Annie that it would turn out well. I was so disappointed. She ended up continually cutting my skin with the automatic tool and leaving me with open sores and half off skin. I was so disappointed with my nails that I asked if I could just get color over. And Annie got frustrated with me and told me she didn't have time. This is my nails after ONLY 3 days. Horrible! I came here on a whim because my nails were looking janky and I wanted to fix it sooner than later - so I yelped for a location near my work and this place seemed promising. I called to make an appointment (originally wanted Kevin or Annie since most reviews were raving about them), but they were already booked so I requested Tina since somebody had mentioned her on Yelp also. Right off the bat when Tina came to fetch me for my appointment, she "greeted" me by asking who had referred me to her - no hello or anything. When I told her I saw her name on Yelp, she instantly had a negative reaction because it was almost 6pm and she was ready to bounce and go home. I understand that it's Viet New Year and she probably wanted to go home to spend time with her family, but I felt it was extremely unprofessional as she didn't try to hide her dissatisfaction of the fact that she wanted to leave already. She rushed through the entire nail process (I got a gel manicure, and had to get an acrylic as well as a fill for some nails that had grown out). She didn't bother to clean my cuticles or even make my nails the same shape. She only used an electric filer to remove previous gel and went a lil too ham on my natural nails. The purpose of the fill was to make my nail more even, but she made my nails bumpier instead. I asked twice for my nails to be almond shaped, but she kept rounding them out and I just gave up, hoping I could fix it myself at home. By that point, I was over it. Now both of us just wanted to go home. There are many more little things I could nitpick about, but I think you get the idea. It was a bad experience and I have never felt like I wasted my money on a nail appt. more than this moment. I can't speak for all the nail technicians though as it seemed all the girls around me were having satisfactory experiences. I get the idea of "you get what you paid for", but I pay the same (if not a little less) at the place I usually go to and have always come out satisfied. I have sat through some bad nail experiences and have never felt as compelled to make a bad review. My one star is for the cute husky who was hanging around. Okay I've been coming here on and off for over two years and I never go other places in between, I'm lazy like that. IF YOU'RE NEW HERE: note this place states it has, and does indeed have, the ability to take credit card and other forms of mobile payment - THEY WILL PUSH PUSH PUSH For you to Zelle them directly instead. Which makes it really inconvenient for people who aren't tech savvy or don't have Zelle set up at all. Regardless they will make you sit and wait there until they see a Zelle text on Anh's cell phone. This wouldn't be as annoying as it was if they didn't always have issues on their receiving account. I swear, my banker on the phone was so relieved to be able to say it wasn't them not allowing me to pay for my engagement mani, it was the nail salons bank account. I also had plenty of gel polish outlining my cuticles; Isn't it fun to pry the tip of your nail from your skin because the UV light sealed an edge of polish around it? Yeah, I love that too. I've given this place a solid 6 or 7 mani pedis and each one was over $90(NOT including the tip). Sometimes they're in a great mood, but other time they just don't have their ish together. It's time to move on. I recommend Bee's Nails in Huntington if you want a really pretty set with detail. It is the same pricing if not better but at least you get complimentary champagne and a nice ocean drive. Better than finding parking on 7th if you ask me. read more

It was okay I just needed a clean up today. Pedicure range in price depending on the other services you want with it. I didnt get a picture of that menu but each tech has it in their cart.
