June 2023 Wow, what an amazing experience to have with this salon. First, I'd like to give credit where it's due for my techs. Really appreciated *Rose* for my mani. Really appreciated *Peter* for my pedi. After 6+ weeks in Long Beach working on a large production, my mani pedi was a well received experience. Upon entering I was warmly greeted and quickly seated. My techs made light conversation and practiced clear communication , which helped to manage my expectations. Peter and Rose offered suggestions when needed , and made sure that the final product was to my satisfaction. Prices are beyond fair and they offer a few options for different levels of service. I *loved* the fact that they used sanitary practices; like gloves and disinfectant. The experience was so pleasing that I invited my coworkers to come get theirs done about 2 weeks later. Peter was there and did my coworker's pedi, and although we missed Rose, Mae did my mani. Service: 5/5 Prices: 5/5 Ambiance: 4/5 Taste/Textures: Value: 5/5 Bottom Line : Do it ! I got a pedicure and was out within 20 minutes. Improvements: - Customer Service. Greeting and informing customers about what they offer. I wasn't warmly welcomed and was given a menu to look over without any further instructions. - Update furniture and lighting. Much of the furniture and technology is a little outdated and can be revamped. My massage chair was giving me problems as the remote looked like it was from the 90's. - Spacing and placement. Not sure if we came at the wrong time 5:30pm but we had two older ladies who worked on me and my daughter. They seemed tired -the lady who was working on my daughter skipped the whole trim the cuticles around each nail. My daughter had to remind her twice! She really didn't deserve any good but we gave her one and she seemed displeased. Find younger workers or give them breaks so they give each client the full service we are paying for. I was recommended here by my boyfriend for a pedicure because Helen the nail tech does an amazing job removing ingrown nails. She did remove them on my big toes and was a big relief but she went onto my other toes and cut my cuticles and caused an infection. My toe has been so painful, puss and blood coming out. I went in to see my doctor and said it was an infection and prescribed me antibiotics Keflex. If my nail doesn't get better in a week. I have to go back in to my doctors to get my whole nail removed. My doctor stated nail salons are not supposed to cut your cuticles because it causes infections and not supposed to dig into your nail with their tools because that causes ingrown nails. P.s. I got my pedicure about 3 weeks ago so please don't mind the polish... read more

Got a set of acrylics and my manicurist was ROUGH. My nail beds were red & irritated after and they actually broke the skin in several spots. It's 3 days later and I count 11 scabs/still healing areas from the drill & nail file. Also apparently you aren't suppose to use a drill so now I wonder if there are other poor or unsafe practices there. Will not be going back obviously. read more

I have never had such a bad experience at a nail salon. The quality of work is horrendous and I usually hate to complain but the way the lady handled it was just infuriating. I decided to get a full set for the first time. I came close to closing and they took me anyway. Before she did my nails I asked her the price and she said 23, then she insisted I do gel and since I was coming close to closing time I felt bad and agreed. After she put the powder I asked her if she can cut the cuticles because they were kinda bad. She said "no we don't do that with full set". I figured that maybe it wasn't needed since she will file it or something. So midway through, I noticed my nails were uneven and too thick. I asked her "don't you think it's too thick?" She said "no it's ok, it's ok". So I assumed she would fix it later. NOPE. My nails came out way too thick and uneven. She kept insisting they were fine and I assumed maybe acrylics don't look good on me.. when I came home my roommate saw my nails (she gets them done religiously) and just freaked. She said this was such a botched up job. They are uneven and it looks like the lady just rushed through the whole thing. I have included pictures... keep in mind I literally just got them done an hour ago. They look like it's been a week! That's how far she put the acrylics. I hate complaining and I know this is her business and income (I'm pretty sure she was the owner) but people should take pride in their work and transparent in their prices (she ended up charging me 35). Hopefully this review will either keep u away or motivate the owner to take her time on her customers and not be FaceTiming people while working. read more

I gone to this place once way back when I was in high school. Let me mention Nancy and her husband David that did amazing job on my nails. I see the review about this place but I have my own opinion. Parking area is great! Environment was nice and quiet. The shop was remodeled not to long ago. Very clean and workers are nice. David the owner husband took care of my nails. I wanted acrylic gel manicure but Nancy mention something about dipping powder I was amuse. I question and ask about it but her husband did the magic. This place is a hit or miss for me. I've gotten great gel manicures here before. I guess it depends on the person doing your nails, and how busy they are. I received rushed service the last two times. Granted I did show up after 5pm on Friday both times, and they were really busy. The first time I was seated, and my nails were wrapped to remove the previous polish. I was left there for about 20 minutes, and could feel my nails burning from the polish remover. This last time I received fast service. Too fast to let the gel polish cure completely. My gel mani started peeling off later that day. Two days later and I'm literally pulling the polish off my nails. I've never had a gel manicure only last two days! I would rather they be honest and tell me it's going to be a long wait instead of squeezing me in between other customers. read more

So I woke up at 9 AM when they opened to make a same day appointment at 12 noon. Got there 5 minutes early and sat in a chair. Said I wanted a full set of gel nails. I waited for 1 hour before anyone saw me. When the nail tech finally saw me, she said, "hold on lemme find someone else because you want a regular manicure not acrylics". Over the next hour they were apologizing a lot, saying I confused them since I said a full set when I actually wanted a manicure. So that was my bad. But 1 hour? After I made an appointment? There's more. The lady must've been running the shop because she proceeded to talk on the phone and balance some books while I sat there. Also my nail color, plum wine (#453) was sooooo off. I should've said something when I saw the bottle was so different from the models they showed me. My nail tech was nice enough and her and the man who was there kept apologizing and saying it was a misunderstanding (which was completely my bad) but I don't think it's okay to wait an hour after making an appointment. My nails look okay, there's some unevenness and stray polish though. In the end, it was $28, which is average. But I don't think I'll be coming back here. read more

Super bummed. Kind of mad at the money wasted. Getting married tomorrow...super casual day, not crazy big, just relaxed and chill. But I still wanted a nice mani/pedi so I made an appointment with my favorite, Van. She's helped me several times and does really nice work. So I arrived only to find out they hadn't written appt down. Crazy rushed today so I asked for another artist. My next mistake was to get a French tip manicure. It seemed classic and simple. Lord!! It looks really bad. Big humps at the ends of my nails...way too much white built up. My bigger problem is I pointed it out to my artist AND even called the manager over. Nope...said it was how my nails are. Really!?!? So I've had these hands for 50+ years and don't know the shape of them? Sigh. I don't know the name of my artist...neither she nor the gal who did my pedicure introduced themselves. A friend purchased​ a $75 gift certificate for me back in November of 2018, today I decided to use it, that was my first mistake. Upon entering I showed who I believed to be the manager (or owner) the $75 gift certificate. She seemed very annoyed. On the gift certificate,​ it said, "Deluxe Mani-Pedi + Gel" she quickly grabbed a calculator and began crunching​ numbers and insisted the gel indicated on the certificate was ONLY for the pedicure. "Okay. Sure. Whatever! Cool. Let's do it." Two employees were sent over to do my pedicure and manicure. I appreciated the super sweet employee named, Lily who did my manicure. However, the woman working on my toes had a poor attitude. She seemed​ ​like it was a freakin' chore to work on my toes. She used some instrument meant for the toes, but was very careless and was not paying attention to what she was doing. As a result, she began scrapping it across the skin above my toenails​, giving me what felt like a rug burn​. Immediately following this she used some liquid product that caused my skin to burn so bad! This was such a horrible experience. This employee had a chip on her shoulder. When I was finished I tipped both ladies, it was only at this time that Ms. Attitude finally smiled. She lit up like the 4th of July. I am not sure if my experience​ was poor because I had a gift certificate (which means the business was already paid back in November of 2018) and the employees assumed I was not going to tip (*shrugs​ shoulders), but on the way out I tried to​ thank the manager (or owner) at the counter, but she didn't even bother looking up. I said it again because I thought perhaps she didn't hear me, BUUUUT NOOOOPE, I guess I was invisible. I would think most businesses would try to GAIN NEW customers, not make them walk away thinking, "NEVER AGAIN!" I don't believe this establishment understands what "customer service" means. It's unfortunate. I also feel sorry for Lily, she seemed like such a hard worker and a real gem in that toxic environment. read more

I went here today to get a full replacement set. Most places you go force off your old nails by prying them off with plastic nail tips, which can be really painful depending on the strength of your natural nails. Helen took the time to buff off my gel polish, and then soak off my nails using the tinfoil/acetone/hot towel method. This adds time to the service but is so worth it! She did a great job shaping my nails and the quality of the service she provided was stellar. I have been trying out a few other long beach nail salons, but find many to be overwhelmed by low staffing (not their fault!) causing them to over schedule clients, or rush through the service causing cuticle knicks or poor shaping. While Images can be busy, they dont say they can take you unless they truly can. I have been able to schedule an appointment twice now with 24hrs notice. And the gentleman at the front is extremely gracious and has great customer service skills. Helen has definitely earned a repeat customer with her skill! read more

I visited after almost a year of no pedicure. Everyone was socially distanced, there was appropriate disinfecting and PPE being worn. They left the doors open and it went fairly quickly. It was so nice to have a pedicure after so long away and I treated myself to an acrylic set too. Helen was great. She gave great tips on keeping my cuticles from drying out and avoiding hang nails. I plan to go back in the next few weeks to get a fill and another pedicure. I will never want to have to wait that long again! I wanted to like this place, I really did. The 1st time I went to this salon for a mani/pedi, I was pleased with the manicure but mortified by the pedi. Helen scraped the hell out of my arch and the side of my foot rather than remove the callus I paid for. She didn't even touch my heel once. I was p---d. I spoke with the owner and she told me to come in and she would fix it. Due to car troubles, I did not return until this past Fri. I asked for another nail tech to do my pedi that will do a great job. Well, unfortunately Nancy's recommendation for someone that will do a good pedi was the worst of the worst I've ever had in my life!! This woman didn't even trim my cuticles, pretended to scrape my feet, which was completely useless, than proceeded with a massage that was a joke and then painted my toe nails so bad, that I literally wanted to go off!! She also cut my toe nails at a weird angle. I wanted to say,"What the "H*** are you doing?" Needless to say, I refused the manicure I was going to get and paid $29 for the pedi from hell!! I knew immediately that I had to go find another salon to do another pedicure & get the manicure I desperately needed. I did not tip the ding bat and in fact, I wonder if she's licensed. How could someone be that useless?? I found a salon with excellent service and amazing techs. Thank you to Nails BB for saving the day!!! I enjoyed my mani and 2nd pedi of the day!! Thank God!! If you want great service and competence, this is not the place. Plus, they all talk non stop throughout your service!! Can't even relax. I have been going here for a little over 4 years and I haven't ever complained until I went last Friday. Just a history, the time before this I spent $140 there for my husband and I. I posted pictures of my toes and I believe that speaks volumes. I am really UPSET!! It is 5 days later and my toes still hurt. I have NEVER had someone butcher my toes the way this lady did and when I said she was hurting me she just put antiseptic on it, shook her head and kept going........really??!! I had this horrible feeling it was do to me not agreeing to the up-sells, I know weird, but I usually get a few extras but I didn't have the money this time. It appeared that every time I said no thank you a remark was made to the gal next to her and the brutality got worse! For example, the first incident with the cuticle they tried to up-sell the gel and I said no thank you. The second incident was the toe file and cuticle cut and they had just tried to up-sell a foot scrape and 5 minute longer massage. I wasn't "Imagining" this, it really happened. I paid for the services, which it is killing me that I did (maybe that is why my toes still hurt?), and I said I just won't tip her......she sat at the door smiling at me, there was no way out, man I cannot believe I tipped her too!!! If anything comes out of this experience is that I hope that this helps new comers, if not we can start a picket in front or maybe a support group to the other dissatisfied customers??? I have lived in Long Beach for several years and have gone to many nail salons in the area. Leaving on a trip soon, I was needing to get my nails done and my favorite place had an hour wait so I came here. Pedicure- the lady doing it had a runny nose and got up several times to cough in the back. She cut me so I was bleeding twice. Upon leaving, I noticed my red nail polish all over my skin and a messy job. Full set- worst place I have ever been to in long beach! Do not come here! The manager was on her cell phone the entire time. Instead of putting the acrylic on with a brush, she dipped each finger into a pot of acrylic powder which was a first for me. How lazy can you be? My nails are short, uneven and my finger was bleeding due to her being distracted. After my gel polish, she spritzed my hands with acetone that stung do to all the cuts on my nails. I was charged $65 and left with cuts and blood on my hands and feet. At least I tried this place and know it sucks. read more

I caution anyone who steps foot in this place expecting a relaxing, quality nail spa experience. I walked in for a simple eyebrow waxing (a service I've had done for over ten years at a different spot). When I walked into the "Waxing Room" the first thing to grab my attention was the overwhelming smell of MILDEW. The towels on the waxing table were dirty and stained. When the technician finished piling globs of wax onto my eyebrows, she began "cleaning up the area" with tweezers. This tech (if you can call her that) used tweezers and proceeded clip my SKIN under my left eyebrow THREE TIMES leaving small cuts under my eyebrow. And told me "I'm sorry you have THIN SKIN". What does the texture of my skin have to do with a technician who clearly doesn't know how to shape eyebrows. Typically when tweezers or any sharp tool is being used for hair removal, the skin is pulled taught before proceeding. This woman must have missed that day in "how to shape eyebrows 101". Then when I complained to the front desk the tech who clipped my skin proceeded to tell me that I "moved too much" and that was why she cut me three times. Additionally I came here before for gel nails. Big Mistake!!! Not only did I leave the nail shop with my cuticles on fire from being clipped back so far that they were bleeding, the gel manicure that I paid over $45 lasted all of 5 days before peeling. So being a man, I'm often greeted with surprise when I walk into a nail salon. I was greeted with, "May I help you?", to which she looked at someone and said something in their (assume) native language. I was then called to pedicure chair. I was never given any pricing or choices which is a huge upsell mistake. The manicure was ok. Pedicure was also really good expect at one point she dropped the callous scrubber on the floor and picked it up and stared scrubbing my feet again. That kinda grossed me but since my feet were going back into water it didn't cause me to call it it. As with many of these places (although nice and huge) they spend most of their time talking with each other (not in English) so you "feel" as if they are talking about you. After moving to LB in January I was on the hunt for a new nail salon. I tried a few out but they were either to expensive or didn't have good gel or polish colors. While getting my car washed around the corner I walked over to this place to see what types of nudes they had. WOW this place is big and nice. I asked if they had any gel colors and the woman showed me plenty of rings. So I told her I'd be back after getting my car. I wanted a full set "claws" and a pedi. I was seated in the spa chair and a women started on my feet and David started on my nails. Pedi was nice and basic but I was more worried about my claws I'm super particular. I showed David what I wanted and he said he could do it. And he totally impressed me. Although they were busy no one rushed or for that matter even converesed with each other. Everyone was talking to the person they were working on which was refreshing! Anyways my nails turned out amazing I definitely found my new salon! I have been coming to this nail salon for a few years now and today had to be the worst experience I've ever had. First the nail drill was used so hard that it cut through the nail and broke my skin right at the cuticle. Then my cuticle was cut with the nail nippers. The shape of my nails do not match, my hands look like they belong on two different people. I just walked out of the nail salon and it looks like I have had my nails done for a week because there is so much space between my cuticle and the polish. My nails were filed crooked all the way around. Most are wider than the other. The polish is dull. Just a terrible experience. I was so upset and disgusted at the $36 I wasted that I didn't even get the nail techs name. This experience has definitely turned me off of this establishment. I will be searching for a new nail salon. read more
