I booked an appointment for my girlfriend's birthday weekend. I spoke with the owner, Yvonne who was very informative and pleasant over the phone; she earned my trust and commitment. On the day of the appointment, we showed up 15 min early to check in. This is where it went south. I rang the service bell after I noticed there was no one up front. My girlfriend was looking forward to the treatment as she has had a rough few stressful weeks at work and I was happy to advocate a great interaction with the owner, Yvonne. A masseus comes out to acknowledge the bell and gives us a dirty look and asks what we wanted. I told her we are here for an appointment. She looks at us and says in a very very condescending tone, "you're at a spa" I told her yes, I know we have an appointment for 2p. To which she sneers and says you're early, go walk around. You interrupted my session. I apologized for interrupting her session and we left. I canceled my appointment and Yvonne was nice enough to reach out for my feedback and apologized and provided a refund. I usually see Yvonne for massages twice a month and I fell off the bandwagon. I hadn't seen her for about seven months. I returned to her as I always do, and she mentioned to me "what's going on with your upper right quadrant of your back?" I didn't realize anything, but once she started touching the area, I could definitely feel that it was almost like a stiff back. I'm a registered nurse and I have lots of physical activities pushing gurneys, lifting, and lowering the head of the bed with patients laying in the gurney.... anyways, that's where that comes from daily wear and tear. Whatever Yvonne says I trust her, she's extremely knowledgeable 100% about all her machines and treatment she can answer all your questions She literally knows everything about her treatments. Back to the point, she recommended acoustic wave therapy. Low and high-frequency sound waves are used to cause microtrauma to the tissue under the skin, which stimulates the body's natural healing process in the area. The first 24 hours I was sore, but Yvonne told me that was normal within 48 hours My back went from 100% stiff back to only having 20% stiff back. I went back for one more treatment three weeks later and 100% of it has resolved. I have no more stiff back and I didn't need any more treatments. I highly recommend Yvonne. If you value your time, others' time should be valued as well. No apology offered either, which I found odd. The combination of lack of results, waiting/wasting a total of 70+ minutes, no apology being offered for being late, & the high price led to this poor rating on yelp. I guess a lesson learned = trust my gut. I had to wait in my car for 25 minutes fir the first session. Only explanation provided was "I've been running late all day." I thought these guys were professional. I found out otherwise. I bought a groupon for two cavitation sessions. It took me six tries to get ahold of them, by email, voicemail, filling out their form, etc. One time a very harried person answered, said told me she didn't have time to make an appointment, she hadn't had a day off in weeks, she'd get back to me, and didn't. I almost gave up, but I'd spent the money already. Eventually I connected with someone again, their phone system is almost inaudible, but I scheduled an appointment for a consultation over zoom. No one introduced themselves, not the person I talked to or the person on zoom, but Zoom lady assured me that I can combine the two sessions into one, and part of the session could be an RF treatment. I arrived for my treatment, again no introduction, but the practitioner told me that contrary to what the consultation lady said, I could NOT combine sessions, and my Groupon did NOT cover the RF treatment. I told her again that I had been promised these things. She argued with me and thought of a variety of reasons. I suggested she call the person I consulted with, she checked her texts and found out that indeed she had been told, "RF treatment is needed. " Even with evidence supporting my claim, she refused to give me the treatment promised. Then I found out why. The RF treatment costs more. She also said that it takes 15 RF treatments to see an effect, so it didn't matter if I didn't get the RF treatment promised! Now I understood. There had been great pressure to buy a package of 15 treatments for over $1,000, both from the consultation lady and from the practitioner, so that explains much. I left frustrated, and informed her that if she would not give me the promised services we were done. She was still coming up with arguments as I walked out the door. read more

I've had the luxury of experiencing a wide variety of facial and body treatments at spas all over the world. So, this review comes from both a professional and personal place. And, no, I don't get paid to write positive reviews or receive freebies when I do. I'm a professional with integrity and only post about treatments I truly believe in. Well, I truly loved the facial that Yvonne gave me this week. It was my first time using microcurrent and stem cells (among other things - a peel, Vitamin C, etc.) and I was surprised to see a noticeable improvement to my skin. She even used the microcurrent on my lips, which gave me a mini-lip job - without any needles! It's a great add-on for a facial. As someone in her '40s, anti-aging techniques is very important and I plan to continue with the microcurrent/stem cell concoction that Yvonne cooked up for me once a month. It really is worth the price and a great way to avoid the temptation of cosmetic surgery or fillers. This is a safe, non-invasive way to stay young. I look about 10 years younger than I am and it's due to spending a little money on monthly facials and keeping up with the latest technologies in skincare. Her massage was great too! read more

Bought a massage through Amazon Local. Overall - I will most likely go back. Yvonne was great. Not only did I have a wonderful massage that left me feeling relaxed, but I also felt like I had a therapy session and went home in a much better mood. I like the concept of Massage Therapy. Now the downside which had me drop one star. It was hard to reach anyone to set up an appointment. I called on 1/31, but wasn't able to get an appointment until 2/13. Thankfully, they honored my certificate that expired 2/12. I arrived 15 minutes early - wanting to have time to fill out any forms and wind down from my day - but the door was locked. They had a sign that said to wait in the lobby. This was fine, but a bit unsettling for a new client. An employee showed up at my appointment time and let me in. She was friendly and we talked while I waited for Yvonne to arrive. She arrived 15 minutes late and then had to set up the room. Luckily I had no plans for later. And, the final issue was that I was to receive champagne and chocolate with my massage. I received neither. I also am now remember that I was supposed to receive a $20 off certificate for my next visit. My guess is that they will honor that so will have to wait until I book again. Again - minor negative issues. Yvonne was terrific and I look forward to booking again. Note: This place has plenty of parking. I had the Arvigo Mayan massage with Yvonne, to say it was wonderful is an understatement. I am a massage junkie, I don't remember how I found out about Arvigo but as far as I know there are only two places in LA that do it. I chose Resplendent because it's closer to my home. The other place is in Silver Lake. I left a voice mail to schedule an appt., my call was returned in a timely manner. The session lasted 2.5 hours. The first 20 minutes were spent going over what I wanted to accomplish and getting to know each other. The last 15 minutes she taught me techniques to do at home and the in between was all massage heaven. Yvonne has a great touch and is very in tune with what my body needed.
