One of the twenty nail salons along the strip of 2nd Street..... Well, maybe not 20 but there quite a few to pick from! I stopped in here to get a quick pedi and there were 5 massage chairs, nice ambiance of a small water fountain as well as several large palms behind the chairs to give it a tropical type feel. The place isn't overly huge either. I think if I made it my frequent nail salon, I could know these ladies a lot better. But you gotta love how I walk in on a Sunday afternoon and there are 3 dudes rockin' the chairs. They definitely were not shy about pampering themselves. I am giving three stars as when I was getting my pedi, the lady said I didn't really need one. Uhhh wuuut? Didn't I come in here? I want a scrubbing like everyone else, dang it! I also noticed that afternoon that the polish was sort of bubbly, which inevitably meant that it was going to peel the polish. Bummer! I might try them again as it was fairly reasonable and I'll just have to put my foot down (literally) and say that no! my feet are not too soft! please scrub! read more

I am so jealous that my friend S. had oral surgery a week before we came here for pedis. It means that she was on antibiotics, which will likely save her from whatever horrific germs we were exposed to Monday. I have no problems with nail salons that aren't frou frou. I don't mind the lack of cucumber water. What does bother me is when you can just tell the place hasn't been cleaned in a while, when the foot sponges look like they've been scrubbing strong since '07, and where the NAIL LADY USES HER SHARP-ASS THUMBNAIL AS A CUTICLE IMPLEMENT. NASTY. Not only was that disgusting, it was painful. Usually a nice foot massage makes me forget a multitude of sins, but that wasn't a problem here, since my Sonicare toothbrush goes longer than these ladies when it comes to a massage. The only good thing about the place is that my pedicure looks decent. So that's how they earned one star (not that I have a choice on Yelp, but that's besides the point). I went in on a Saturday aftenoon to have my nails manicured, I'm not familiar with the new gel type of polish, but the woman there assured me I should go with that option and that it would last at the very least two weeks. She quickly cut back my nails and trimmed my cuticles, but there was no hand or arm massage. I thought this was strange as this manicure was going to cost $25, usually only $12 for normal manicures. Within the next hour I noticed the tips of the nails cracking, and then a split down the center of a few of them. By the next morning they were all cracked and today is Thursday and they have all peeled back and cracked down my nail. Shameful. I called that Sunday to have them fixed the next day. Sofan, the woman who owns the salon, and did the manicure said I could come back in and asked what I did to them to make them this way. I assured her I didn't touch them and showed up the next day at 3:30 when she said she would be there, she wasn't. She also wouldn't take any calls from the employees. I'm over it. I hope others take the warnings listed on their yelp page. read more

After having walked by Eiffel Tower Nails for years, I finally decided to stop in and get a pedi. The place looked nice enough at first glance, but strangely empty of customers at noon... Here's what I noticed after I sat down: -a pleasant corner situation gave us a nice window view to the street and plenty of natural light. -It seemed reasonably clean, except for the horrible little bathroom. I'd advise against using that bathroom. -they filled a bucket with the warm water instead of the spa pedicure chair and had me soak my feet in that. No bubble action in a bucket :(. -The lady giving me the pedicure was unsure about how to deal with my toes. She seemed surprised that I had calluses on my pinky toes and complained about the shape of my nail beds (I've had them done many times and nobody else has ever pointed out how supposedly weird they are). She started cutting my big toenails way down the corners to make a rounded shape, then tried to pull pieces out directly from the nailbed; I had not asked for that! I winced a few times in discomfort, but no blood was drawn. -She also seemed inexperienced with the nail polish and had to spend a lot of time cleaning up her mistakes around the edges of the nailbeds. -Paid extra for callus removal, and there was still some visible right after it was finished. -Not one other customer materialized in the entire hour of my visit. I tipped generously before I left, but only because I felt sorry for the lady who worked an entire hour on my feet and who knows but that I might be her only customer in that place all day! Very likely one of the worst nail salons I've ever been to. I took a picture of the monstrosity that were my nails, but am too embarrassed to put them on the internet. Not only did my nails look terrible, but when I asked her to fix a couple problems, she told me that's how they're supposed to look and didn't fix any of her mistakes. I had to go home, file them, clean them and repaint them myself because I had a job interview (which I told them about) the next day! read more

Please don't go to this nail salon. The paint job they do is fine, but they charge more than they should and more than they advertise on the window, plus they get visibly annoyed when you pay with credit instead of cash. Worst of all, I've been here twice and both times left my fingers and feet bleeding and in pain because they go too crazy with the clipping and filing. It actually hurt rather than relaxed me. I'm mad at myself for giving them a second chance. On top of all that, the place just doesn't seem too clean. If they cut your skin you'd think they would at least put something on it to clean it, but they don't. The place does have friendly workers and the view of Second Street is good. It's too bad it's not a good experience or a good price. Go to Kiwi Nails or Shore Nails instead and you'll be glad you did! read more

Since I lost my man card about a year ago ever since my first pedicure at this place I figure I have nothing else to lose if people see my face on here. My feet lost their virginity to Eiffel Tower Nails and now that they have had time to go explore other hands, I can honestly say this place is absolutely horrible. I thought it was common for pedicure business's to just put your feet in a bucket filled with warm water but boy was I wrong. They don't have a running spa and I don't think they even clean the spas out when they are done. I know take my feet down the road to "Enchantment". read more

Sadly, while the lady who did my nails was nice enough, it took me over 3 and a half hours to get a shellac/gel manicure. The first two attempts didn't work as the polish didn't dry at all. Strange considering my hands were stuck under the UV light so long that they were stinging. The equipment seemed old and in poor condition. So instead I was given acrylics (which I really didn't want but my nails looked terrible and I needed a quick result. I wasn't happy with the finished product. If I lived nearby (I don't, I'm travelling from Australia), I wouldn't go back to this salon based on my experience. I also noticed that clients getting pedicures got their feet stuck in a bucket of water rather than filling up the actual foot bath. Weird. read more

MAJOR language barrier. I couldn't even be sure they were rude because I could not understand ANYTHING.

I had the worst pedicure ever here - they fill buckets and carry the water out to you instead of filling the built-in spa chairs (weird). The whole place has a kinda dirty feel to it. read more

Just awful... They only had one manicurist on shift and she was moving so fast, she cut my cuticles so deep to the point of bleeding--I nearly screamed--THREE TIMES!!! She didn't bother to dust off the ground nail particles, she cut them very crooked, shaped them unevenly and left bubbles everywhere. I will never go here again read more

I'm a guy, so I don't do this everyday, but I bring my mom here for a pedicure when I'm in town for a visit. She loves it, and I get the pedicure with the foot massage. It's great, the girls are nice and I would definitely recommend this to a friend and I will come back. read more

I am not sure why so many people have bad things to say, although I do not get pedicures here (or anywhere for that matter. I have dancer's feet...they will always be ugly no matter how much polish you throw on them suckers). I have acrylic nails and was getting them done at another location on 2nd. I had a TERRIBLE lifting problem and decided to go here to see if it was me or my manicurist. Whatever the manicurist did, it was a miracle! Not sure why, but I went 2 and half weeks and they looked just as good as the day I got them done (only slightly grown out). Not a single flake or lift on any nails! So I've been going back and I've been very happy. She is meticulous in making sure your nails look good. She has acrylics herself, so I think that gives her an advantage because she knows what it takes to manage them. A couple things that bother me: I don't ever see her use colored acrylics. I used to LOVE getting colored acrylic tips but she doesn't seem to have that stuff and she doesn't do much detail with nails. Just your basic color (which is fine by me). And yes, their advertised prices on their windows are not accurate. But it's still not too expensive. I throw down $20 every time I get a fill and that includes tip! Especially when her manicures last so long, that isn't so bad! read more

One of the ladies was very nice and the other was nasty. My daughter and I went for pedicures (advertised at $15 on the window) and when I went to pay, the "nice" one said it would be $45. When I asked her why, she said that I had gotten some sort of special gel treatment (couldn't understand her answer). When I told her I never asked for it, nor did I even know I had gotten it, she shrugged. Wrong answer. Never going back here again. read more

Great little nail salon right on 2nd street, and the best part is their prices are really reasonable. $8 for a manicure, $8 for an eyebrow wax, $15 for a pedi. Not the most modern looking salon on the street but my eyebrows always turn out great. Only downside is that a lot of the manicurists don't speak the best english, so it can sometimes be hard to be sure they understand you... read more

I use to live in Belmont Shore and was in the area. I needed a Manicure/Pedicure for my Christmas Party so I walked in because no customers where in there (which I should have realized was a bad sign) and I do remember going there a long time ago before for a quick manicure. I sat in one of the foot spas with massage chair and noticed that the massage wasn't on. It's cold so I couldn't wait for the warm water from the foot spa to start filling and bubbling up but instead a lady comes from the back with a tub filled with lukewarm water, sigh. They proceeded and the lady who was doing my manicure, must have remembered me from the one time I was there before because she said to me, "So how have you been, you have GAINED SOME WEIGHT"? What the.......Then she noticed I had a ring on my index finger and said, "The boyfriend needs to put a finger there (tapping at my left ring finger) not there (tapping at my index finger)". I was like this woman is a B*#ch! What was that all about. Well I soon pointed out to her that she may be carelessly removing cuticle because one of my nails was bleeding. And the lady who was doing my pedicure keep yelling at me "Mam, Mam" because I was distracted by the lady doing my manicure who had my nail bleeding and making stupid remarks similar to the ones aforementioned. They charged me $28.00 I paid with a credit card, and then handed a $3.00 tip to the lady who did my pedicure. She looked at me and snidely said "for both"? Referring to herself and the lady who did my manicure. I said "yes", but what I should have said is "no" give me one dollar back. I then sat and let my toes dry for about 15 minutes, they looked good. I went home and walked around in flip flops for hours until I started getting ready for my party. The next day I noticed that most of the polish on my toes were chipped and smearing. I was upset because I had other parties to attend the next week and from experience my pedicures last at least a month. NOT FROM THIS SHOP. Never will I go there again. read more
