First -- Amy and Fenny are still AMAZING. They're professional, talented, and their work is always top tier. This has nothing to do with them at all, this is 100% about how appointments are being managed. I called around 2pm to book and specifically asked for Amy and Fenny. I was given a 5pm appointment and told it would take about 1-1.5 hours depending on design, which was perfect because I had dinner at 7. I got there on time at 5... and wasn't seated until almost 5:30pm. Amy started my nails then, and Fenny didn't start my pedicure until around 5:50pm. At that point I'm already stressed because I have plans. I ended up having to push my dinner... then push it again. I didn't leave until 7pm. So I was there for 2 hours and 12 minutes, not because of the service itself, but because my appointment started 30+ minutes late. Also, because they were closing, I was asked to check out while I was still being serviced. Not a huge deal, but just adds to the experience. What really bothered me was the front. Amy and Fenny were great as always, but the person managing appointments didn't acknowledge the delay, didn't apologize, didn't give a heads up... nothing. If you know you're running behind, just say that. Call me, or at least tell me when I walk in that it's going to be a 30-45 minute wait so I can decide what I want to do. And the most frustrating part -- parking. Yes, they validate, but because THEY were running late, I still ended up paying $12 out of pocket. That honestly made me MAD. I showed up on time for my appointment... why am I paying for the delay??.....I would like to be REFUNDED for that. This place is more expensive than others nearby, which I've been fine with because the quality is there. I'll still come back for Amy and Fenny, but this was a really disappointing experience. If this happens again, I'm not waiting -- I'll just walk out. I dont gel x on finger nails, and nail dip on toes with massage. All in all, they made me want to come back, they are great for solid color on gel x and pedicure, but if you want designs I would recommend home technicians as it gets much more expensive in a salon like this one, but for normal gel x and pedicure, I say they are great. Still, don't think that "discount" was enough because my daughter couldn't really function well with the wounds. But he did do nice artwork. Also artwork price varies so I'd ask cost first vs a surprise price after (he was asking boss in their language how much to charge). This was my daughter and I first time and not too bad. The tech I usually go to for pedicures was out, so I was serviced by someone new. I got the usual regular pedicure + gel. The pedicure was not terrible, the polish came out decent, but I can't say it was relaxing, at all. The tech was so rough when he was filing and scraping the gel off. I had cloud as a nail tech and if youre looking for someone who can lay acrylic down and add some artistry to elevate your nails, she is the one. Her nails have not lifted or cracked and she did the cat eye sooo well. It ended up looking like outer space in the best way. She made what I had in mind 10000000% better. The gel nail polish they use is good quality. It does not chip or fade easily. This is important to me as I use my hands a lot. Also when I had my babysitter cancel on me, they were super accommodating and so sweet with my daughter...they also have nail services for young clients too which we have yet to try but looking forward to booking. I came here about 4x so far and each time I come I get more and more disappointed, So due to the type of work I do I had to remove my gel manicured nails which I got done somewhere else and I wasn't able to get to them to remove them on time for me and since the place is beneath where I live I said why not have them remove it Since it's mandatory for my job. The lady didn't have to be so aggressive with my nails I did ask her for a simple manicure and to buffer them at the end since I couldn't have any type of gel or polish what so ever upon removing my manicure she burned multiple fingers with the drill and not to be rude but I do also do nails I'm a licensed cosmetologist and this is one of my speciality's within my license practice, I don't do nails no more due to me moving back to Long Beach so all of my stuff is in storage, Regardless people were coming by looking at my nails and of course they look really nice but it wasn't done by them and because I had this place remove them I was treated unfortunately bad there and this was my last time visiting She made every single nail sharp and my nails were brittle and in pain once I was done getting my manicure everything to remind you this photo is how my nails look the next day after I had to cut 2 nails off because it was so sharp I was cutting my self Nothing I asked for was done but she had more conversation with her colleagues than me I'm never a complainer I get my nails done frequently just not here and it's a reason why.
