Been going to Mariah for a while, although I'll admit I haven't been as much as I should. She's incredibly punctual, friendly, and professional. She's gentle, fast, and thorough. I've always left satisfied with her services. She's my go-to waxer in Long Beach. Thank you, Mariah! read more

Yesterday I visited Wax by Mariah for the first time. She was on time, organized and clean. She made me feel calm during the waxing process. Thank you! read more

Back story - when I got my first wax, it wasn't with Mariah. As a first timer, it's almost impossible to feel totally comfortable with the process. I'd hope with whoever was doing my wax, would make the experience a tad better. I did not feel that way with who I initially chose but still went on with the service. As a lay there, stalls down I heard this girl who was full of energy, good vibes, and genuine conversation with her client that I immediately wondered who she was. For me to feel such a welcoming vibe and it didn't come from the person who was doing my wax at the time, I was a bit disappointed. As I finished my first wax, I ended up passing by Mariah and her client at the front desk. I never forgot how vibrant she was and I immediately wished my first wax was with her (I realize how silly this sounds ‍) Needless to say, the next time I got a wax, it was with Mariah & she's retained me as a customer through the years. I was even happier that she went on to her own location and even closer to me in LB. read more

First timer here and I need to start with a thank you for the photos. Representation is essential for me, especially after hearing some stories of mistreatment at the big name providers. I also appreciate the price list with a description of services available. It was easy to book an appointment. Metered parking was easy to find and reasonable for the time needed. Mariah was pleasant in every way. She was grateful that I trusted her for this experience and reassuring that it would be quick and easy. After her intro of what to expect she answered my questions then gave me a moment to prepare. The room was clean, and comfortable with good vibes and music. During the treatment, she told me what to expect every step of the way. I have to say the anticipation I'd built up was so dramatic, but thank goodness for deep breaths IN. It was less pain than I'd prepared for and I actually found myself laughing at the END, my little lady is squeaky clean and smiling:) So, to all my sistah friends there is a place for "us" on Long Beach Blvd. and 4th St. See ya soon Mariah. read more

Mariah is the sweetest, most gentle, and most knowledgeable waxer I've ever had! Upon arrival, her light a cheery voice welcomed me in to the intimate room in the salon. (Note Mariah's service is in one room, not throughout the salon. Must call upon arrival to be buzzed in.) She confirmed my services, explained her process, and offered options for comfortability before leaving the room for me to change. I personally appreciate that to ease me in for my first time visit, as well as clarify everything so there are no issues later. The room smelled of chocolate - later learning it was the chocolate wax she used for my skin. She explained the benefits of using this soft wax and strips while checking for comfort throughout my service. A constant green flag for me was the frequent check-ins, particularly when she moved to a new area that may be more sensitive and when the wax temperature may have changed. I booked a full Brazilian and she got it ALL! The bikini, between the cheeks, and even my lower belly hair and top inner thighs. She went above and beyond when she tweezed off any stray hairs and superficial ingrowns, still being gentle and checking in. I added on a gold mask for an extra soft & smooth finish. The cool gel felt so soothing after all the tugging. I haven't left the salon this clean clean before. Our fun and joyful conversation the full time allowed me to continue my day is a wonderful mood. 10/10 Will book again! read more

I was very happy when I was able re-locate Mariah as I was one of her clients from her previous location and so incredibly grateful that I am in contact with her again! She certainly exemplifies being a very experienced esthetician, professional, kind and has such a calming personality that relaxes me completely when I obtain her services. Her thoroughness, cleanliness of her studio and attention to hair removal in the most challenging areas is unequaled! Undoubtably recommend "Wax by Mariah". read more

I've been going to Mariah for years, she is so good at what she does! She is extremely welcoming and friendly. I wouldn't consider going to anyone else for my waxing needs. read more

A very experienced esthetician, and this chocolate wax...GAME CHANGER. I have the most sensitive skin so I am very picky with where I go to get my waxes. The last place I used to go to, raised their prices and I started getting bad service (very rushed, and didn't do a good job, broke out after my last one) so I left and found Mariah. Clean room, she's SUPER friendly, takes her time, and is very thorough! Gave me great advice for after care and squeezed in a last minute upper lip wax for me. It was my first time so I'm hoping my skin has a good reaction after a couple more days. I'll come back with an update! read more

Mariah is the best! I went for a Brazilian wax after a long period of not waxing. She was gentle, fast and professional with the best personality to put your mind at ease. Thanks, Mariah! read more

Best wax I've ever had- clean, painless, and reasonably priced. Definitely planning on being a long term customer!

Mariah is the best wax lady. I went to her for my first time before my honeymoon in August 2022, and I have been going to her ever since. She is a great conversationalist, making it easier to get through the wax session. 10/10 would recommend her services. read more

Mariah is such a professional and the salon is very private and relaxing. She has put her care into the vibe which makes you feel comfortable and she takes the best care of her clients. I am so grateful that I found her and this space. I have never felt so comfortable in a waxing salon. read more

I think anyone and everyone should get waxed by Mariah. She makes you feel very comfortable. I know so many people who are nervous and embarrassed to get waxed, especially their genital area(s). However, Mariah does a great job at making you feel comfortable and completely distracts you from the waxing process with interesting conversation. She keeps a cool and clean space and also offers wipes to freshen up before your wax, if you'd like. I can't say how much I enjoy my session every month. Honestly, I would hop from person to person before meeting Mariah. Now, I faithfully book with her once a month. Please schedule an appointment with Mariah. You won't be disappointed. You'd have a new waxer and a friend. She also provides many more beauty services than waxing. Her prices are pretty fair as well. Check her out! read more
