This review is long over due. I love this nail studio so much that I left my long time salon! I've gotten pedicures and gel x sets for the last 6 months. I originally came here because I was unhappy with the quality of my past experiences and my wedding was around the corner. Tia is an absolute gem of a nail artist. She does a phenomenal job every single time, she absolutely blew me out of the water with my wedding set. Most recently (today) she did the most gorgeous cat eye gel x set that I am utterly obsessed with. If you're looking for someone who will leave your nails wedding ready every time, you need to come to this studio. Anna has also done my gel x sets and does an amazing job too! Wow! Gorgeous nail shop. Booked our appointment on Yelp it was so easy and epic. Some of the most comfortable massage chairs Ive ever sat in. We picked the Champagne pedicure. One of the best pedicures I've ever received! Pedicure specialist Cloud came Yelp recommended. Yelp didn't fail me Cloud was amazing and her sidekick Tony rubbed Mrs G's feet til she fell asleep. Ana did my nails and not only is she a sweet woman but she was so caring and gentle with me. I came in with previous work from someone else and I had dip, I wanted to stay with dip but she convinced me to get gel x and I'm satisfied with the choice! Love this place! I was waiting to write my review after trying it again and it was just as wonderful as the first time. Everything looked very clean and organized. Yuna is my girl, she really took her time to shape and get every layer of my nails right! The only thing I would suggest would be a better sterilization system for the cuticle trimmers but nevertheless they are extremely clean. This place is amazing. Customer service is really good and the artistry is top notch. I had cloud as a nail tech and if youre looking for someone who can lay acrylic down and add some artistry to elevate your nails, she is the one. She took her time laying down my acrylic and she has great attention to detail as well. She took the time to inspect her work at every step which is so refreshing to see. Her nails have not lifted or cracked and she did the cat eye sooo well. It ended up looking like outer space in the best way. She made what I had in mind 10000000% better. The gel nail polish they use is good quality. It does not chip or fade easily. This is important to me as I use my hands a lot. Also when I had my babysitter cancel on me, they were super accommodating and so sweet with my daughter...they also have nail services for young clients too which we have yet to try but looking forward to booking. This was the worst experience I've ever had at a nail salon. After telling Ha, the nail tech, that I did not really like my nail color, hoping he would maybe fix it, he raised his voice and said I was insulting him after he spent his time doing my pedicure and said that I was trying to get a free service. I came here about 4x so far and each time I come I get more and more disappointed, So due to the type of work I do I had to remove my gel manicured nails which I got done somewhere else and I wasn't able to get to them to remove them on time for me and since the place is beneath where I live I said why not have them remove it Since it's mandatory for my job. The lady didn't have to be so aggressive with my nails I did ask her for a simple manicure and to buffer them at the end since I couldn't have any type of gel or polish what so ever upon removing my manicure she burned multiple fingers with the drill and not to be rude but I do also do nails I'm a licensed cosmetologist and this is one of my speciality's within my license practice, I don't do nails no more due to me moving back to Long Beach so all of my stuff is in storage, Regardless people were coming by looking at my nails and of course they look really nice but it wasn't done by them and because I had this place remove them I was treated unfortunately bad there and this was my last time visiting She made every single nail sharp and my nails were brittle and in pain once I was done getting my manicure everything to remind you this photo is how my nails look the next day after I had to cut 2 nails off because it was so sharp I was cutting my self Nothing I asked for was done but she had more conversation with her colleagues than me I'm never a complainer I get my nails done frequently just not here and it's a reason why. The staff here is incredible, the salon is spotless, and you can always book online (plus they call to confirm, which I love). The front desk guy is a lifesaver he's squeezed me in last minute more than once. Their towels are always fresh, the massage chairs are heaven, and the whole space has that clean, chic aesthetic that makes it feel like a true luxury experience. For my birthday, I totally spaced and forgot to book ahead, but they still managed to fit me in. Normally I see Tia (she's amazing her shaping skills are unmatched and she nails it every time), but she wasn't there, so I went with Ana. Oh. My. Gosh. She delivered. I've gotten a gel x set that lasted a whole month and still looked amazing after all those weeks. The pedicures are so relaxing, but the main service I come for is the builder gel manicure. I have done this a few times and the sets always last so long. The staff are always nice and attentive, but my past two appointments have been the best with Hannah. Updating my review again because I am appalled at the owner's replies to my HONEST experience after being a loyal customer who has even referred people to this salon. The owner's response is an absolute LIE and is NOT what happened when I arrived. I have a LAW DEGREE- the staff is too racist to consider the fact that I have a JURIS DOCTORATE and have no reason to lie when I file my formal complaint. Regarding the placement of my foot- I only lifted it after being REQUESTED because they did not believe my toe was chipped. I simply placed it where the manager could see it after HE ASKED ME TO. I will now be adding screenshots of the owner Amy's replies to my review in the formal complaint to the BBB. I have been coming to this salon for the last 5 months and even referred several people here. I pay close to $200 for manicure & pedicure biweekly and have had to return to the studio less than 24 hours later multiple times due to the quality of the work. I usually do not mind going back for them to fix the small errors, however, the last visit was the final straw as the manager Tony & employee Tia treated me not only rudely, but unprofessionally. I paid for a gel x manicure and they forgot to cut my cuticles- so I reminded them. Tia told me "your cuticles look fine" - My French tip gel pedicure chipped within a day and I asked them to simply fix it. They gave me a hard time when I am the customer and never apologized. Unfortunately, I will not be returning back and I am extremely disappointed in the customer service and quality of the work lately. read more
