I went into the salon for a gel manicure and pedicure. I hardly go to salons because I'm terrified of fungus, so I save my visits for special occasions. When the nail artist began the service, she pulled out a crusty (visibly used) nail file and began to file my nail. I politely pulled my hand back and asked if she could use a new nail file. She looked at me and scoffed, as if I was bothering her. She did get up and grab a new file, which I appreciate, but it should be customary to use brand new or disinfected tools on every single person. I would give this place 5 stars but this interaction was not nice. The place is very spacious and there is always ample workers but I just wish they would be more sanitary. read more

I am still on the search for a solid gelx & design nail place in LA. Ugh. I gave this place a couple months. Got my nails done more than 6 times... 3 pedicures... very nice salon physically. Tran (Ana) is very nice, my sets would often end up looking wavy. There would also be too much polish on the nail so they looked thick/bubbly @ the end. My second to last time I had jasmine do my nails and they looked great! Then they broke about 1 1/2 weeks in. I do XL gelx. My most recent appointment I requested Jasmine explicitly m, got a confirmation email. & when I arrive Ana was doing my nails... needless to say they're wavy. I've easily spent I've 1k in this salon over the past few months and truly only left satisfied once. Complained about not having my appointment with the person I requested and they apologized but made no amends. Last straw... the search continues. read more

Today was the first time that I expressed that I didn't like something when she asked me and that's when the interaction changed. She had only finished one nail so it's not like it would've been a huge deal to fix it. Unfortunately she didn't want to hear anything I had to say and kept disagreeing when I told her it wasn't what I wanted. She was being so rude and I couldn't understand why because I was always so nice to her. I ended up just letting her finish and told her it was fine. But I think I was honestly too nice in this interaction because I even tipped in the end... I should have just left. I recommend this place if you enjoy rude staff. read more

Typically good service but today I walked in and the guy at the register blatantly lied to my face about not accepting credit cards. I watched as several customers paid with their own cards. When questioned he continued to lie to me about it. I'm not sure why I was singled out. I did noticed I was the only black person in the salon. But, I've been to this salon many times before and have paid with credit card all the other times. Again, unsure why I was treated differently this time around. Clearly discriminatory behavior. Avoid if you want to be treated fairly. A shame considering the nail techs were so nice and did a really good job on my nails. read more

AMAZING! I recently moved to Long Beach and needed a new place to get my nails done. I decided to try this place and I fell in love! I can get whatever I want on my nails. I don't feel pressured to do anything to my nails that I don't want to do and they don't try to upsell me. Which is a consistent problem I've had with other nail salons/studios. I get Gel X with Tia and she is so careful and attentive. I always leave those comfy chairs satisfied and ecstatic to show everyone my new set. So she had someone awesome do my gel builder fill ( Brian) - he did an awesome job and did the exact shape I wanted. Then Tia came over to make sure she did the nail art for me since I booked an appointment with her. You can tell she cared about what she does and wasn't just trying to get through the appointment. I came in for a last-minute appointment with a friend and had the pleasure of being serviced by Annie. From the moment I sat down, she was incredibly kind and welcoming. Even though it was a bit of a spontaneous booking, she didn't rush at all and really took her time with my nails. Her attention to detail honestly stood out to me the most. She was very precise and made sure everything was shaped evenly and polished perfectly. What I really appreciated was how she kept asking me to double-check along the way. If there was even the smallest thing I wasn't completely in love with, she fixed it right away without hesitation. She really takes her time filing and makes sure your nails are the shape/length you want them to be. She really takes her time and is honest which is always appreciated.
