Based off of the high reviews, I had really high hopes for my first experience at this salon. Also being Asian, I want to support more Vietnamese businesses too; unfortunately, I've been left sorely disappointed. I came last week wanting a set of gelx nails with a magnetic design and gold chrome. Design-wise, Ivy is talented; however, the quality of the application of gelx nails and how long the nail design lasted was shocking as the gold chrome is starting to deteriorate after a week now, probably as it wasn't cured enough times. During the application of the nails, one of my thumbnails was extremely crooked, and when I brought it up to Ivy, she said "well, it's not crooked when I'm looking it from my angle." It felt dismissive and a little gaslighting, but she ended up fixing it, so I thought that would be the last of the application issues to bring up. It wasn't until I got home a few hours later that I noticed gaps in most of my fingers, which could lead to moisture and bacteria growth as there wasn't proper sealing done between the gelx nail and my real nail. Also, the gelx nail dust wasn't properly brushed away from under my fingers, so that cured and stayed on as well. I was really torn on how to bring it up as I really did love the design, so I spent the night anxiously trying to figure out a mutually beneficial solution for both of us as I'm aware it's hard for small businesses during these trying times. I ended up texting Ivy the next morning to let her know about the gelx application issue, asking if she could redo the set or provide a partial refund. It seems as though she took it personally and sent photos of other people's gelx nails that grew out and said "I been working hard for my work in the back is not important easy fix and my work still well and not bad like u think hun" The dismissive and gaslighting even more apparent again - it was incredibly disappointing and unprofessional. Also, the gelx application is important and there is NO EASY FIX when it comes to gelx application! You cannot add gelx glue to already cured nails - that is how you develop an allergic reaction to gel because the gel needs to be fully cured. It's dangerous and irresponsible to even suggest this issue as an easy fix, especially to those who have eczema on their hands. Speaking about gelx only here, the prices may be cheaper, but the quality and customer service is severely lacking. I'd rather pay more to go somewhere else that can actually do the gelx application correctly and avoid developing an allergic reaction. read more

I had gotten a pedicure today and when I came in the lady that took me didn't say hi to me. Then after the whole appointment she was being rude the way she was talking to me was not nice. When people work with customers service they are supposed to be welcoming and kind I did not feel that way. The lady doing my pedicure was rushing my set and didn't take her time with it to make it nice, and the toes did not come out nice AT ALL!! My toes were different lengths and she all fill up my cuticle with the nail polish . When I asked her to fix it nicely she kept telling me "You didn't tell me to make it shorter". I was expressing how I didn't like how the toes came out and she kept repeating herself when I was trying to tell her to fix it. Lastly I was telling the ladies how I did not like the work they gave to me and they were like "You are supposed to tell us if you don't like the lady that is doing your pedicure. I understand that but it's the fact that the lady is supposed come in with a positive attitude and do the work nicely !! When I tryna pay for the nails the lady didn't even assist me and just told me the Zelle number and left didn't even give me a price. I would not recommend coming to this nail salon!! Wanted to get my phalanges taken care of before we left for our trip, so we came here. The place was okay and the staff were friendly. My boyfriend and I usually try out new places in different cities, so this was one of them. Nothing too unusual or fancy, but I realized they were in a hurry trying to finish up so they can move onto the next customer. Usually after a pedicure, you get a nice little massage, but because my boyfriend was done already they kind of did a quick light massage and called it quits. The lady was still working on my nails and she tried to hurry as well. Only so much she can do to hurry, she still needed to paint the pinky! My boyfriend even told me that they didn't really give him a massage either and a mediocre pedicure. He's quite simple and easy, and for him to say that there's really something wrong.
