I came here on a Sunday afternoon for a pedicure and had such a lovely experience! Not only did the pedicure look great but it was relaxing and my technician was so friendly and fun to chat with. I made an appointment and I went in for a regular mani / pedi (no gel) and you would have thought I asked for the craziest thing in the world. I wanted a different color on my hands - than my nails. For context: I was celebrating my birthday and wanted to treat myself after my weekly chemo treatment. Since it's fall, I don't see the need for the hands and feet to match because I won't be wearing sandals. Instead of just saying ok to my request, there was one woman in particular who went on and on about how the pedicure would chip if I didn't do gel. I explained that due to my medical condition - it's just too hard to remove gels if I need to. I settled on just the gel mani and lived to regret it. Eventually she settled down after huffing around and complaining to the other workers, but when it came time to paint my nails, she selected a color MUCH different / lighter than what I selected for my hands, and when she showed me after a few coats - I said that it was different. She then tried to correct it by adding more and more layers of a darker color-and it looked bad. So very bad. You could see the pale pink shining through the bubble gum color that she tried to cover it with. Gross. Instead of arguing with the people- and causing more of a scene I accepted my Losses. I decided that I would remove the terrible paint when I got home. I paid and tipped cash and got out of there. Smile and nod- smile and nod. It's hard being a black woman out here in the wild- these things just happen. I won't go to Dina's again and we will all be happier. My advice/ if you go there - just do what THEY want. i really hate leaving bad reviews and i never do it. but i had to after i left. it is unfortunate because the ladies who work here are so kind. i ended up getting a classic pedicure which is $40 and asked for gel and french tip. i waited 25 minutes and then someone came to do my toes. unfortunately it was just poorly done. she did not shape my nails with a file, and did the french tip uneven, chunky and messy. when it was time to checkout, i was reluctant to pay $62, which i'm assuming was due to a $10 charge for design and a $12 charge for gel, which seems pretty steep to me. unfortunately i wont be coming back :( read more

I had a great experience here as a walk in around 11:30am on a Saturday morning I was helped right away for a mani pedi. I opted for the Dina nail experience special with regular polish for a little bit of an extra treat. Upon sitting down the tub was filling with water and I was pleasantly surprised to find it cool for a warm summer down but it warmed up to perfection. Normally it's boiling hot when you sit down. I was then offered a beverage and of the choices of water, soft drink, mimosa, I went with a hot gree What I really loved was the honesty about the prices for ads ons. During my service the 3 lovely ladies working asked if I wanted add one and were right up front about the price. Although I opted to keep the basic special package I am really happy with how transparent the ladies were and it wasn't a surprise payment at the end of my time there I was expected to pay. I left after and hour and a half and my nails were completely ready to take on the rest of the day! They survived a walk and the beach and no smudges! I'm so happy! Was looking for a new nail salon close to my place that's preferably walkable and I stumbled upon Dina's! Super convenient because it's only about a 15 minute walk from my apartment. They got me right in around 3pm on a Thursday. I love the variety of colors that they have and everyone is super nice and sweet. I absolutely love how my nails came out. I went there for the first time and the experience was nice. I really appreciate the time Dina spent on my nail prep and even gave tips about taking care of my hands. She did a great job doing the design I asked for too. I had some issues with underneath my nails and I called to see if it could be fixed. Dina told me I could come in that same day and she fixed it free of charge. I think that's really great as a business owner to be listening to your clients and helping them out. The service here was good, staff was friendly and while I was in the salon, my experience was good. However, I went to get my nails done because I was going out of town for two weddings. I got a gel manicure and regular pedicure on Thursday and yesterday Saturday, my gel manicure is already chipping. Normally my gel nails last a solid 10 days before you can see anything, this was only 3 days. Unfortunately I am out of town now for the weddings and can't go in to get them fixed.
