I am sitting in my massage chair waiting for my toes to dry before I slip on my sandals and walk out. First impressions: 1) very clean floor 2) nice waterfall divider between the check in / cash register and the salon area 3) there are 10 massage chairs for pedicures on the right (when entering the salon) and a manicure area on the left 4) lots of color choices! The salon wasn't terribly busy when I popped in today around 1pm. I was told that I'd have to wait about 10 minutes, which turned out to be accurate. My nail tech was thorough and checked in with me to ensure that everything was to my liking (which it was). My classic pedicure ($25) took about 40 minutes in total and included a calf/foot massage, which felt lovely. I also enjoyed the massage chair during the pedicure and wish I could take that home with me! My nail tech used tools that were packaged. Clean tools for the win! I'd come here again. Good value, clean salon and clean tools, and good results. Update 7/30/2016: my polish lasted for a month! Great job. read more

I don't know why this place is rated so well. I came in for a pedicure and a manicure. I'm going to have to go somewhere else or take of the polish when I get home. No one really speaks english well so very hard to communicate what you want. Also the massage was more of putting on lotion, nothing close to a massage. Very disappointed. I can say this is the best nail salon in AZ!! I just moved here from Ca and this is the closest I can compare to the la nail shops! I love Bebe, Henry, Kelly and Tommy!! There's a few others that have helped me I'm sorry I can't remember their names. The location is very clean, supplies are sanitary! I never have to worry about sanitation with my nails here. The staff are so nice, friendly and make you feel like you have people looking out for you here. I'm always greeted with a drink. First time here. The employees were nice. Got a basic pedicure. They're supposed to do a 10 min massage but it felt more like a soft lotion rub. I asked for French tip instead of full polish and wasn't told that it was an extra $5 so I'm kind of annoyed about the lack of communication. I feel like It wasn't worth $32. The salon itself was clean and it was extremely quiet in there which made it feel a bit awkward in my opinion. Also, the French tip isn't evenly painted on some nails. I won't be returning here- I will just go to different salons until I find one I really like. Ps: don't mind my big toe- i cracked my nail and pulled it off so that's why it looks ugly and uneven but when I said the polish wasn't painted evenly, I was talking about the small nails. read more

Well I have to go to a wedding this weekend so I decided to try a new place and am completely satisfied with the entire service that I received. My technicians were Melody and Tommy. This place is ok. My $27 classic pedicure was done in 30 minutes. The guy working on me had really light hands so I could not feel much of the massage. Not very impressed. They were very nice, polite, little talk (which I like) but I felt like it was very expensive for what I got. I have paid $20 for pedicures like this and liked the service/job better. Nice location for a nail salon! Was accommodated for an appointment the day prior for dip powder manicured. Arrived a little early and was promptly attended to granted they weren't very busy on a Tuesday evening. They had a great color selection which is a plus with SNS because there aren't always tons of options out there. I love that they have a check in deal as well as a cash program where you get a point for every dollar spent and after 250, you get $10 off. Great program! They are also fairly priced for their services and allow you to pay and tip in card if you want to. read more

Had an apt. for a pedicure and sat in the water for over 45 min. My toes were completely pruning. When i was finally helped the man didn't know how to add acrylic my toes and offered me to wait on a lady who had just started my sisters full set (so what an hour and a half). I declined since I've already been sitting there for an hour and booked a new appointment for the following day at 3pm with someone who knew how to provide the service I asked for. He walked me to the counter and asked for $27 for a basic pedicure, which should include cuticle push back, cleaning, trimming, 10 min massage, and polish. I did get my cuticles pushed back and lotion rubbed on my legs, which i was willing to pay for. NO massage, dirt was not removed from under the nail, NOT EVEN POLISH. Instead he wanted to argue that i got a full basic pedicure. Which is OUTRAGEOUS!? Why would you book me a whole new apt the next day if you completed the service today?? Makes no sense. All i have to say is... If you believe you provided this service and are proud of your work then take this picture of my feet after leaving your care and use it for the "Classic Pedicure" example ! I have been here 3 times so far, and every experience has been OUTSTANDING. I've lived in phoenix 2 years and the other nail salons I've visited have been less than average. But when I came across this little jewel in the desert I knew I had found the place for me!!! As a newbie to phoenix, finding a good nail salon can be tedious, expensive and disappointing. I'm so glad I found this place! ALL the STAFF here are so sweet. They are friendly, smiley, and so respectful. They made me feel comfortable. They talked to ME while they took care of me (not gossiping with each other about customers, ignoring me, while they speak in another language. This always made me so uncomfortable but I don't see that here, it's very refreshing.) They are NEVER PUSHY trying to upsell so they make more money. I really felt like they wanted me to be happy and gave me what I wanted/needed, not the other way around. I never feel like I'm bothering them by asking them questions about what I want, they are very patient and cater to the needs of their clients. Very professional. They treat their customers, especially loyal regular customers, like family. So down to earth and kind. The SALON feels like a high end salon with all new WORKING massage chairs that match. It's clean and tranquil. Open and well lit. Super nice and feels good being in there. Great location too, Starbucks is right next door!;) The WORK they do is impeccable. They take their time, even when it's close to closing time they never rushed me to get out of there. They make sure what you pay for is what you get and that you are satisfied with what they do for you. The PRICE is VERY GOOD!!! Especially for what you get. I usually get a pedicure and a gel manicure. Every time the GELS are PERFECT and last for weeks. They make sure not to get it on your cuticle and round out the edges perfectly so your manicure lasts a long time. They give great massages on the spa pedicure and I recommend the herbal treatment! What a delight! They spend a long time massaging and put several kinds of lotions and oils so your feet and legs are ridiculously smooth. I've been here 4-5 times in the past few months, and have had a good experience. I usually get a gel mani and occasionally a pedi. In the past I've always been happy with the staff and the way my nails turned out. I also like that the salon usually opens a bit earlier than other places in my area; I've noticed they tend to get pretty busy at late morning/early afternoon on the weekends. Yesterday was a different story. Hardly anyone in the store, and I still felt rushed out the door. Very aggressive when filing off my old gel (ouch!!), inconsistent nail shaping (some nails were squared, others oval), the polish color would have benefitted from another coat. The nail tech insisted the massage chair needed to be turned off (never been asked for that in the past). When the woman finished with the pedi, she immediately asked if I was ready to go. I asked if I could let the nails dry for awhile first. She said "ok 5 minutes" and then walked off. I waited five minutes, got up, paid and left. I tried to be careful getting out of the chair and putting my shoes on (no one offered to help me), but noticed my toenails were completely smudged by the time I got home. I'm undecided on whether I will be going back. As I mentioned, I've had good experiences before, but with so many other salons in the area, I may be trying out someplace new. read more

One of my new favorite nail finds is Nails Studio 54. I am not easy to please when it comes to my mani or pedi's and I am super picky. I am constantly at The Casa Paloma Shopping Center and was in need of a mani and pedi and had my daughters home from college and decided it was worth a try, and besides, I noticed a Yelp check in offer, as well! We were all three taken back for our pedicures immediately ; they worked on our hands at the same time. I wanted a gel powder dip instead of my usual gel manicure. I have to say, I was truly impressed. Having only taken my college daughters advice on the gel powder technique, the nail tech guided me through what would match my toes. I liked it so much better than the way a normal gel manicure works with all of the 'in and out' of drying the gel. It also lasted me over three weeks and that was with a lot of 'hard' on my nails ! My pedicure was awesome and could have put me to sleep it was so relaxing and thorough. My tech gave a very good leg massage with the pedicure! I have since been back for another manicure using the powder dip for a french manicure. Pricing here is the same as it pretty much is around this area and runs about $5 more for a french mani , as anywhere else. They have menus to list pricing and advise you as you tell them what you would like, which I appreciate, as not every nail salon will do that. This place was absolutely awful. I came here with a friend to get my an acrylic. I wanted regular nail polish and the lady kept pressuring me to get gel. I still stuck with normal polish. Then when we asked her if we could sit together since my friend wanted a pedicure and I wanted manicure she frequently rolled her eyes at us. This lady did NOT put on the right size acrylic nail on me. She also put one of them on crooked. Not only that but when I had left and realized one of my nails was smudged I came back and politely asked her to fix it. She rolled her eyes, puffed her breath and mumbled that's why I told you to stay still. I spent 47 dollars at that place so I'm sorry if I expect it to be perfect when I leave. My eyebrows were done horribly. No arch and still hairs on the sides. I will most definitely NOT be coming back here. read more

She stared into space while working on the massage part of my deluxe pedicure . I barely felt any friction on my feet. Even my daughter noticed her lack of enthusiasm. I wanted to try out a new nail place and this one was rated pretty highly. Now that I have been there I don't see why it would deserve 5 stars. The place is pretty small and there is really no decoration or anything special to it. There is a water fountain near the front check-in area but you can't see it while you are seated for a pedicure. You certainly can't hear it; all I could hear while I was there was the buzzing from the acrylic nail buffing tool that sounds like a dentist drill. Not exactly relaxing. I know all nail places have that but this place has pretty bad acoustics because I found it extremely loud. Also the chemical smell, again present at even the best nail salons, was overwhelming. They did not have an ventilation at all. Overall it just was not a pleasant environment. However, my nail tech was very nice and did a great job. And my pedicure only cost $25. So, that is still A-OK in my book for when I need to just stop in and get my toes done. But Pink Polish still has them beat for atmosphere. read more

I chose this place because of the good reviews, but I'm sorry to say I received the worst manicure of my life here. Two of the employees were snarky about my choosing a regular manicure instead of gel, then the woman doing my manicure filed all my nails in different shapes - some rounded, some square - and at different lengths, even after I asked her to fix them. She cut a couple of my cuticles down too far and made me bleed, and then she didn't even paint the full nail, so it looks like I got my nails done a week ago and they've grown out. She screwed one of my nails up entirely and her feeble attempt to fix it by dropping an extra bit of polish on it just made it worse. She left me there to dry my nails and then never came back, so after waiting for about 15 minutes for some kind of acknowledgment I walked out. My nails look like crap, and I'm not happy that I just threw my money away. The salon was completely empty when I came as well, so there's really no excuse. The only plus was the clean tools. I had an appointment before I came in, and once I got there, I had to wait almost 30 minutes until someone began to work on my nails, even though they said they were available for the time I had set my appointment. Although this was frustrating, I wasn't going to make a big deal out of it. Now, all I asked to get was a full set a french tip acrylics, and instead of asking how I would like them done, the worker decided to do things his own way. I decided not to question him because it seemed like he knew what he was doing. At the end, I was EXTREMELY disappointed about how my nails had turned out, so I asked if they could be fixed and then he proceeded to refuse to fix them and told me I should've asked sooner. I would not recommend this salon, they had awful customer service and did not care if you were happy with the results. read more

I was prepping for a trip to Italy. Wanted beautiful no maintenance nails. My coworker said, gel nails. You will love them. I don't get my finger nails done for several reasons: 1. My natural nails are nice but I hate filing and painting them. 2. The manicure nail polishes seem to wear off quickly. 3. Acrylics are too harsh to my natural nails. I called and asked if there would be lots of filing of the nail surface and was told no. We don't file here. I dropped in on Tuesday at 3:00. My flight left at 10:45 the next morning and I had many things to do. I was the only customer. I thought perfect! This was my first mani/pedi ever in 51 yrs. I was directed to my chair and I had 2 people helping me at the same time. A young lady (pedi) and young man (gel mani). There was a confusing discussion about my color selection. I could use the gel nail color on both mani/pedi if I'm getting gels on hands. But if I want to do French on hand I needed to find a reg color for feet. My feet are already in the tub so the girl goes to find similar color to my selection of a mild pink. She returns with 5 shades of orange. I don't complain and pick a burnt glittery color. My manicurist is rushing me to put my hand in the bowl he has set up as Im talking to the pedicurist and looking at the color selection. I finally tell him he has to wait as I can't do both. He seemed disturbed about my statement. We start the process and he tosses a pillow on my lap. No explanation what's so ever. I move the pillow mid manicure, he asked don't you need the pillow. I said do you need me to have the pillow? He then says no you need it. I'm looking out for you. As I my turns out, he was going to set the UV lamp on my lap. He needs the pillow to stabilize my arm. Even with that, doing a French in an angle is not good. Especially a 35 dollars, manicure! There is lots of tugging and manipulation of the arm. Lines still were not right. A Today 2.1/2 days later they look like this! Also, the only thing I've done since I left the shop is pack a few things and fly for 12 hours. And my 2 and 1/2 days includes 12 hours of travel and the time difference. Very disappointed. One lesson learned here is the to do the manicure and pedicure separate. Should be a relaxing experience and it was far from that. read more
