I went on a whim! $25 gel nails in 2024?! Yes, you can! The salon is run and owned by husband/wife duo: Nick & Candy. I've gone twice and am pleased. The salon is older, you arent there for new massage chairs and the latest designs. This is no frills $23 pedicures and $25 gel. It is advised to call ahead since there are only the owners working. The salon is open 7 days a week if I'm remembering correctly. My gel mani lasted 2 weeks. I'll definitely go back. read more

This place was so awesome. Tiny mom and pop shop owned and ran by just two people. They are a couple Nick and Candy and will spend their whole time talking to you when doing your nails. They are very interesting people and gave an awesome service. You must visit. read more

Their prices are cheaper than most and the owners are talkative. It seems like they work by appointment mostly. They could benefit from updated equipment but they do solid gel manicures with attention to detail. read more

Super disappointed this business clearly states walk ins are welcome and hours operations state the business closes @7pm. I arrived @6:20pm well before closing time and they refused my service with no explanation. I do not recommend this business for walk ins whatsoever, I had to leave and drive down the street where another nail salon welcomed me with no issues. read more

Best. Nail. Place. Ever. Period. Nick and Candy are just the nicest technicians and people ever! I have been going here for four years, my mom for six years, and they are just the absolute best! They are by far the cheapest in the valley, but much better quality than any other Nail salon I have ever been too. They are a small shop so it's best to make an appointment even though they say walk-ins welcome. They give you their full attention while you're there and love talking and learning about each and everyone of their customers. I can't recommend them enough! Decided to give this place a try since they're local and there were so many great reviews. Sign says walk ins welcome but they seemed irritated at the inconvenience of a walk in, there was only 1 person receiving service. Not sure who was working but they were very short with their responses and appeared to judge us as soon as we walked in the door. Needless to say we did not stay for services. Lots of webs and dust around the place did not instill a lot of confidence either. Would not recommend read more

Truly a 5 star experience. Iv been to LOTS of nail salons, probably over 100. This by far is my favorite. Its family owned/operated. The staff speaks English and totally caters to what the customer wants. Special requests are welcomed. Iv been to so many nail, salons that want to charge 5 dollars for this and that and everything in between. You can't beat the prices here and they're work really is quality. Stopped in chandler for the weekend and came here based on other reviews. It took only a few minutes to be seen for a gel manicure. The man working on my nails was extremely kind. It seems as though he understood the value of good customer service and treating people in the shop with respect. Took one star off because after 2 days one of my nails chipped. I forgot to grab some dish washing gloves and figured the rest of my nails would chip soon but was glad to find that they were pretty resistant to the dish washing process. Still wish the end result when I left the shop was a bit better. I would return. read more

I have been a client of this business for over 15 years and they are AMAZING! Candy and Nick are so sweet, professional, kind, sincere and have integrity! I had a full set of acrylics done here 2 weeks ago. The reviews looked great, and that is why I went to 1st nails. The service was amazing and the quality of the work was second to none! Nick took his time and made my nails perfect. Other salons will make the acrylic too thick and I have ended up with globs of acrylic under my nails. Nick made sure that every detail was just right. I walked in last minute tonight for an acrylic gel most places would have scoffed at me and turned me away knowing closing was ten mins away and that procedure takes time but nick was kind and patient. He welcomed me in with open arms and was completely transparent with pricing and recommendations. Not once did he try to up sell me or to rush me out. He listened to my needs and was genuinely a pleasure doing business with. He is a genuine and ethical person he runs his business by customer appreciation and referrals over time there he's earned his loyal customer base as opposed to hiking his prices to his competitors and charging for every small service. He puts us the customers first and that is rare and beautiful he truly understands how to run a business that makes you feel as if you're family walking in. I'm going to make sure to refer all my friends and family here to nick and his wife. Definitely earned a customer for life here tonight! read more

I have been going to Nick & Candy for several years now as they are close to my work. I go in at lunch and Nick does my nail fill for me in just over 1/2 hour! How great is that?! :-) Candy gives heavenly pedicures and their prices are super reasonable (pedicures are $18, fill is $14 and a new set, including removal of the old set is $25). They are fabulous about keeping your appointment time and not letting walk-ins take your time and then you are "squeezed" you in and making you late the way that other salons do. I frequently phone Nick for a last minute appointment - sometimes he has them and sometimes not but, when you get a slot, you know they will cater to you during your scheduled appointment time. Nick and Candy are both super friendly and give excellent service. read more

I have tried several places for pedicure and this gets my vote for my favorite. It is a husband-wife team who are super friendly. I like that they engage in conversation and it is not all about upselling every small detail like designs, sea salts, scrub, etc. The extras are there for the asking, but let me tell you for $18 I got a foot soak in the massaging chair, clean up and trim of my toenails, foot scrub, leg massage and hot towel wrap for my legs and feet. I love NASCAR so I wanted to share my passion for my favorite driver, Kyle Busch in the M&Ms Toyota #18 Camry. I grabbed five colors, red, green, yellow, blue and orange, jokingly they said to me "ah can't decide", I said "I want all five, just like M&M's" and showed them a photo of Kyle's car from my phone. I love how they know everyone who comes in and everyone is excited to see them as well. Once done the husband and wife admired the work and even another patron had asked to check it out as well as see my photo. I must have been the first NASCAR client. Can't wait to do again and hopefully my finger nails grow some so I can go all out! I The pedicure last awhile too, I know with the economy it is hard to get back every two weeks, so if you want something to last this is the place! I love this salon & the owners are a very kind and make you feel welcome. The shop is clean and prices are CHEAP. I would give 5 stars except I don't like the fact they do not use disposable sink liners. It's clean but liners unsure never a sanitary issue and I would rather prefer a shop that uses them but until then I will continue to frequent here. read more

Awesome place!! I rarely get my nails done because I use to bite them but now that I'm letting them grow out I would definitely be back. The husband who runs the shop was super nice, very talkative, and really professional. Made me feel like he knew me my whole life. I have never been to a 'neighborhood' salon to have a pedicure. I researched many places in the Phoenix area. I was not disappointed! The pedicure was very nice, my nails look beautiful, and they added a flower to my big toe. Pedicure starts at $18, which I thought was very reasonable. They take their time, even when they have other clients there. They are friendly and treat you like family. Asked about my family, kids, parents, and we discussed other subjects as well. This is the BEST nail salon around. I visited after reading the reviews from other Yelpers and I have to say they were right! The owners are a husband and wife who work together running the salon. I have gel nails and have had them done at many places but this the first time I really felt like Nick cared about my nails. He took his time, shaped them, filed them, was cared not to be rough and then even after another customer came in and was waiting did not rush to finish. He took his time and made sure the coloring was perfect. They are also way more reasonably priced than most places in the area. If you care they do offer Vegan colors. Plus they are VERY clean. They clean everything right in front of you and put in the machine as soon as they are finished. I can't recommend them enough! read more

While I'm thankful they were able to get me in, the service was mediocre. The staff was VERY friendly which is always nice, however I wasn't impressed by the color selection and my heels still felt rough. I ended up doing it myself with the expected results. When the pedicure was done, the water was leaking onto the floor and no one bothered to clean it up. I most certainly would not return here. read more

I've been going here for over 10 years. It is a small, family-opened business run by a husband and wife. They are extremely sweet and truly hard-working. The wife, Candy, is wonderful at waxing. I do not trust anyone else to do my brows. They are also very welcoming if you have a young baby and need to bring them with you. I go out of my way to have Candy do my eyebrows. I don't find many nail places cater to men but I found First Nails to be least expensive than the competition and willing to take me last minute even though they were closing soon. The owner Nick was very friendly and chatted with me while he had his sister Yen take care of me. She didn't speak English and was mostly non-verbal but friendly and did an outstanding job. The owner even gave me a contact for a local bus service to save on my traveling expense back to CA. I was happy with the service and highly recommend this place and will be back. read more

He's quick, efficient, and still pays attention to the details that make everything look so clean and polished. I never feel rushed, but I'm always in and out which I really appreciate. Tracy, the owner, is just as amazing. She's so accommodating, welcoming, and genuinely cares about her clients' experience. You can tell the whole salon is run with intention and kindness. I was a tad hesitant when told the basic pedicure is $35.00, but there was no wait so I went with it. While sitting in the chair I opted for the first upgrade from the basic service, the Deluxe Pedicure for $50. It was quite nice and very relaxing. I almost could have dozed off for a few. The treatment was precise and gentle where required, firm but not rough or aggressive with salt scrub, massaging, or hot rock application. Definitely deserving of more than the suggested 20% tip that pops up on the screen when checking out. And my nails look perfect. Of course the color selection was my touch so of course I love that. Felt good getting a little pampering. I was long overdue. There was little to no conversation, but I was preoccupied with catching up on social media so I wasn't bothered by this. Finally, a nice little Bonus. Was gifted some Bare Soak silky butter lotion 100ml since this was my first time here.
