Let's talk about the quality products this nail salon uses. The purple nail set I've had since November 11th. These are my natural nails and I do dipped. First off, my nails grow like crazy. However, you can see the design never faded. This is after two months of wear which included washing dishes. I went in for a fill yesterday and it did not disappoint. They've kind of done life with me, lol so I feel part of their family too haha. I don't trust anywhere else to do my pedicure(including ingrown), manicure, and eyelashes. I usually call ahead to make an appointment, but they take walk-ins as well. They have a wide selection of options for all budgets. The place is always clean and sanitized. Going to get my nails done is such a treat for myself, especially with prices being raised. But my experience at Venice Nail Lounge was the opposite. It was actually very disappointing. As I got my pedicure it started off fine until I saw that my pinky toenail was cut down to a nub with a thin line of paint. Then when I got home I noticed big bubbles under the paint of multiple toes that smeared when I touched them because the paint wasn't fully dried. It seems like such a lack of care and professionalism. WHY DO MY TOES STILL LOOK CRUSTY RIGHT AFTER GETTING A PEDICURE ?! I like that it's not too far from home but I'm definitely NOT pleased with the actual services received. I got a simple gel manicure and a regular pedicure. The outcomes of both services are a pure disappointment. First let's talk about the manicure: The experience itself was whatever. They mostly talked amongst themselves throughout the process and it lowkey felt rushed. The gel polish is a little dented on some nails and the shape is not consistent. The lumping of the polish is not too bad but it's definitely IRRITATING and noticeable to me. When I brought it to their attention, she said it was because of my nails. I asked her to further elaborate and she said my nails needed to GROW. How does the length of my nails impact the TEXTURE of the POLISH? By the way, my nails aren't even short or thin so I don't understand. She proceeded to suggest getting acrylic nails next time instead of gel for it to appear smoother. Uhmmm I've gotten gel manicures before from other places and never had this problem so I'm not sure what to think about the explanation. Onto the pedicure: John was overall chill but WHY DOES IT LOOK LIKE I NEED A PEDICURE AFTER GETTING ONE? Again, the polish was applied messily and my feet look crusty. I feel like I was in better shape BEFORE coming here and that's just so TRAGIC. This is so embarrassing. I want to feel pretty after getting my nails done but I look a mess!
