She had an outstanding personality that made me really comfortable which is great since it's a fairly intimate service (depending on what you're there for). The facility was extremely well kept and clean. The only reason I didn't rate a full 5 stars is because I did discover a few spots hair was left when I got home. When paying the higher costs for the service, I wouldn't expect to find any missed patches and there were a few. Overall, I'd give them another try due to the friendly and comfortable atmosphere. If I walk away again with missed patches, at that point I'll explore other options for waxes but I'm optimistic that next go around will be better.

I had my nails done on September 4th, and just two days later, on September 6th, one of my nails literally broke while I was sitting in my car. I had not hit it or done anything that should have caused it to break. Since the salon is close to my workplace (although I do not live nearby), I scheduled a repair appointment for September 8th during my lunch break. Unfortunately, September 8th was also closing day for our new home, and my plans changed unexpectedly. I had to leave work early and had my belongings with me, so I was unable to call the salon to cancel my repair appointment. I completely understand being frustrated that I missed an appointment, and I take responsibility for not being able to call. However, I tried to explain the circumstances when I came in, and I felt there was very little compassion or understanding. What was especially disappointing was the attitude and energy I received from both the front desk and my nail technician. From the moment I walked in, the interaction felt cold and uncomfortable. The front desk employee seemed upset with me because I had not answered their call while I was dealing with the closing of our home. I understand that they had tried to reach me, but I was in the middle of one of the biggest and most hectic days of my life. I would have appreciated some understanding when I explained what had happened rather than feeling like I was being treated as though I had intentionally disrespected their time. I want to make it clear that I have always enjoyed the staff at this salon. I especially enjoy catching up with two of the front-desk employees -- the gentleman and the girl with the long curly hair -- and I've always felt welcomed by them. That is part of why this experience stood out to me so much. The energy and attitude I received this time felt completely different from the experiences I've had with them in the past. What was even more frustrating was that this repair appointment was an inconvenience I never should have had to make in the first place. I had just gotten my nails done four days earlier, and the nail broke on its own without any impact. I have never had an issue with missing an actual appointment or not showing up, and I have always made the effort to be respectful of the salon's time. My appointment was scheduled for 12:45, but I was not taken back until around 1:30. I was then told that my nail technician had been booked for another appointment because I had missed my repair appointment. I was already there during my lunch break trying to have the nail repaired, so I would have appreciated being contacted beforehand if they were no longer able to accommodate me. I was also charged for the repair. Normally, when I have needed a repair, I have not been charged, so given the circumstances, the charge was especially disappointing and made me feel as though I was being treated differently because I had missed the earlier repair appointment. I understand that businesses have policies, but I would have appreciated clear communication about the charge and a little more understanding of the situation. I work in healthcare and deal with appointments and cancellations every day, so I completely understand why policies are necessary. At the same time, we also understand that unexpected situations happen, and we try to hear our patients out and show compassion when they do. I was hoping for that same level of understanding as a longtime customer. Unfortunately, after this experience, I won't be returning. I'm not leaving this review out of anger, but because I believe businesses should know how situations are handled from the customer's perspective. I genuinely enjoyed coming here in the past, which makes it disappointing to leave feeling this way.

After some digging, I saw a Facebook post stating the business had closed, but relying solely on a Facebook post is not sufficient when the booking system is still active and sending confirmation texts. As an out-of-town client, there was no way for me to know my appointment was no longer valid. No call, no text, no cancellation notice. This was not a casual appointment -- it was for a wedding -- and the lack of communication forced me to scramble at the last minute. If a business is closing, booked clients should be proactively notified and all booking systems disabled. This situation could have been avoided with basic communication. Thankfully, I was able to find another salon last minute -- Primp and Blow Chandler -- who completely saved the day. Five stars to them for stepping in on short notice and doing an amazing job.

I have always been very particular about who I trust with my skin. I started seeing Shannon back in 2022 before my wedding to get my skin wedding ready and she did not disappoint! I was glowing on my special day. Recently, I came off of birth control and this was not an easy process with my skin. I immediately reached out to Shannon to get my skin back on track. I now see Shannon monthly and look forward to each appointment! My current favorite facial is hands down the glacial or any facial involving the glacial glide. I have been seeing Dani with SkinFit for 3 months now and my skin is looking SO much better every day! I had a lot of redness in my cheeks after kids that always looked inflamed, dry, and irritated. While staying home during the quarantine and looking in the mirror probably way too often, I decided that I need to start taking care of my face. Jena is truly amazing, on my first visit she took the time to sit down with me and learn about my skin and goals and talked me through everything she was going to do during my facial and what to expect. I had told her that I have had milias (small whitehead like blemishes) for as long as I can remember and would really like to get rid of them... I've been going to Jena for probably over 6 years now and I have to say she is literally one of the top aestheticians in the valley. I've done everything from dermaplaning to chemical peels. Dermaplaning is so awesome with no down time. I always find my products work better and my make up looks better. The chemical peels I've done with Jena keep my skin looking bright and fresh. I've been to a fair amount of offices throughout Scottsdale and tried pricey chemical peels that didn't even come close to Jena's peels. Jena is professional, smart, and always does an excellent job. Jena at SkinFit is amazing! She is very knowledgeable about products and services and has always given me the best advice on how to care for my skin. Jena takes the time to help me understand options for treatments, products, etc.. I get regular facials (every 4 weeks) and have a good skin care routine at home but give credit to Jena for how good my skin looks and feels! I chose a product, she talked me through the entire process, and I went home bee stung but excited. A few days later, the results kicked in and any misgivings or prejudice I once had about injectibles disappeared right along with my forehead lines. I turned 34 this past weekend and, with Cindi's help, those forehead and between the brow wrinkles are yet to make any additional progress as wrinkles. My greatest weapon has largely been Dysport. Every 6-8 months I make an appointment to see Cindi, Dysport up, and confidently go back out into the world. Over the past 4 years I've also partaken in a few lovely Hydrafacials and a Dermaplaning appointment with Jacqueline. Cindi and I have experimented with lip fillers and a botox lip flip. My metabolism is such that the lip fillers don't seem to last very long (a few months at best) but it's a huge confidence boost when I do go for that splurge and am able to rock the full voluptuous pout that I always want. I'm going for such a splurge again tomorrow, and am looking forward to it. I suspect the next appointment after this one will be ahead of my wedding later this Fall.
