Alisha, my laser technician is a Godsend. She goes above and beyond to make sure you're comfortable. Alisha is very bubbly, attentive, personable, and communicative. Most importantly, she does phenomenal work. During my sessions, I feel well taken care of. She never rushes. She takes her time to penetrate hair follicles and educates the client along the process. I have light, sensitive skin with dark, coarse hair. My first session was in October 2022. Since then I've seen significant results. There has been barely any hair in the treated areas, leaving me more confident each time I complete a session. No issues with post-treatment pain, erythema, blistering, or dyspigmentation. Didn't think it was possible to look forward to laser hair removal sessions until I came across Alisha at Lani's. Added bonus: Alisha is a trained yoga instructor. I first called my dermatologist office and they charged $800 a session for legs which is insane. I then found two other places who were not very transparent with their pricing and I did not like that. My sister recommended SEV because she goes there herself in LA. I looked up the website and they list all their prices and a package that includes 18 sessions and lifetime yearly maintenance sessions cost less than 3 treatments at my dermatologists office. So far so good! My biggest concern is finding someone who is familiar with paradoxical hypertrichosis because I experienced that on my face back in 2004. Luckily, two of the techs are familiar with it which is honestly not very common since most places I talked to thought it was "strange" that happened to me and they have never heard of that before. I booked a consultation and when I showed up, the lady at the front desk was so nice and friendly. She instantly made me feel comfortable. The laser technician, Mary, was the sweetest and she was able to answer all my questions and made me feel comfortable asking any questions. In 2004, I used to cry during my sessions and I was really afraid the laser would still hurt and I would find it unbearable. The consultation was for armpits which is a very sensitive area. The cold air they blow on you during the treatment is a game changer and not only was the pain not bad, but it was a couple minutes and your done! After my session, I immediately bought a package for legs and underarms. I HIGHLY recommend SEV Chandler.
