Then I met Taylor, who has been doing my photo facials. She is such a wonderful, warm person who does an incredible job targeting the dark spots, the broken veins, and the rosacea. After the first treatment, I finally felt confident enough to not have to wear makeup out of the house and by the second treatment, I swear she took 5 years off my face! These are the two women who have made a huge difference in my life, though from the front desk staff to the rest of the people that work in the office as well, in their specialty fields, I suspect that I'd be met with the same kindness, professionalism, and knowledge that they possess. My father has the exact same wrinkles, and I knew they would get deep quickly. How a woman regards the changes in her body as she ages is a very personal process. Some of us do everything they can to fight it, others age with pride. Personally, I just wanted to be able to continue going out without makeup on and still feel confident in my own naked skin. I do not operate under the impression that I can (or should) do everything in my power to hold onto my youth... But I do want to retain that confidence that comes with feeling fresh faced. So my journey into the world of Medspa's was with the hope that I can do some minor preventative care. So on my first visit I had a consult with Cindi. She asked what and where my concerns were. She then explained what my options were and thoroughly detailed how all of the different products work. I chose a product, she talked me through the entire process, and I went home bee stung but excited. A few days later, the results kicked in and any misgivings or prejudice I once had about injectibles disappeared right along with my forehead lines. I turned 34 this past weekend and, with Cindi's help, those forehead and between the brow wrinkles are yet to make any additional progress as wrinkles. My greatest weapon has largely been Dysport. Every 6-8 months I make an appointment to see Cindi, Dysport up, and confidently go back out into the world. Over the past 4 years I've also partaken in a few lovely Hydrafacials and a Dermaplaning appointment with Jacqueline. Cindi and I have experimented with lip fillers and a botox lip flip. My metabolism is such that the lip fillers don't seem to last very long (a few months at best) but it's a huge confidence boost when I do go for that splurge and am able to rock the full voluptuous pout that I always want. I'm going for such a splurge again tomorrow, and am looking forward to it. I suspect the next appointment after this one will be ahead of my wedding later this Fall. I am turning you into the nursing board, I've asked you to please return my money and you have refused. You refused to fix it or even acknowledge me !! I first went to Laser by Lani 18 years ago and it was the best decision I ever made. I had a hormone imbalance that caused me to get not only facial hair and severe hormonal acne. My face was a mess and I had been to several electrolysis technicians and two dermatologists and my face wasn't getting any better. It was getting to the point where I didn't want to leave my house at all. My face was actually starting to show scarring from the acne and ingrown hair. A friend recommended Laser by Lani and I decided to give it a try. Right away after the first visit I noticed a difference. Lani was not only a more skilled technician, she seemed to really care about helping me. Within just a few visits she had completely cleared my face. She was even able to eliminate the scarring over time with laser resurfacing treatments. I have had several other procedures done by Lani including fractal laser resurfacing which eliminates scarring, tightens skin and reduces pore size, laser hair removal on my bikini line and permanent makeup on my eye brows and eyes. Everything I have had done there, I have been ecstatic with the results. Lani is very professional yet she makes you feel comfortable right away. I noticed that she has state of the art equipment and even offered procedures that other spas didn't offer. She has a beautiful office just off the 101 in tempe and her prices are very reasonable. I have completed three sessions of laser hair removal for my facial hair. I have PCOS, so my facial hair was very coarse and stubborn. I tried painless hair removal at a very expensive salon for 8 sessions...it was completely futile. My jet black facial hairs grew back immediately after each session. I had given up and proceeded to pluck my facial hair almost every day. I could not step out of the house freely if I did not pluck that. Then I decided to try Lani Laser. Alisha is a world-class laser specialist. She is not afraid of turning up the settings to suit my skin and hair type - because she knows how the laser works and what is safe. Other laser techs at different places I have seen are not confident in turning the setting up because they lack the knowledge. Alisha said she will show results for even my difficult hairs and that they will eject within 4 weeks of the first treatment. I was so skeptical at first, but every thing she said happened! My hairs ejected and I was left with smooth, hairless skin. After three sessions, the hair amount has reduced significantly on my face and now the hairs growing back are very fine. I don't feel the need to pluck them to go out. I will do 3 more sessions to eliminate the fine hairs as well, which I am confident will happen. I was referred to Lani about nine years by the owner of a salon who spoke very highly of her and I have been a regular client ever since for various procedures. I began with electrolysis work on my eyebrows and bikini line. Lani takes pride in her work and takes it seriously. It shows in the quality and cleanliness of her equipment, as well as in her precision, patience, professionalism and caring approach. After being happy with the final results of eyes and bikini I added underarms, full bikini and lower legs. She uses a combination of laser and electrolysis depending on the coarseness and color of my hair in a particular area. We are just about finished and I could not be more satisfied. Lani also has an amazing doctor, Dr. Laura, who works with her in her office. I started seeing her for botox over five years ago and found her to be much better than the plastic surgeon I had been using the year prior. The results are natural and long lasting and she takes her time and is gentle so I have never had an issue with bruising or discomfort. Went to Lani for years from everything to legs to eyebrows. She is extremely friendly and compassionate when it comes to your challenges with hair removal. I get complimented frequently on my eyebrows and recommend her often. She worked a miracle on my legs too but those are less obvious to people. If you are on the fence about calling her, my advice is to call her sooner than later to just understand what she can do for you. I promise if you go through with it you will enjoy any irritation being gone/healed! My relationship with my legs has been forever changed and I no longer have to wear capris or pants in the summer to hide irritation. I carefully screened local providers of electrolysis because comfort and sanitation practices were a priority. I know a bit about the process and I was grateful that Lani was honest in her description of the process and the outcomes I could expect. Her office is immaculate and professional. After 20+ years of plucking hairs each morning, I no longer pluck at all. I am able to get by with affordable and spaced out appointments. Two things make her practice notable. First, Lani checks her work multiple times during the appointment because blond hairs can be elusive, I never have missed hairs between appointments. Secondly, she runs on time every single time. I have been dealing with PCOS and spent lots of money on waxing and threading of my facial hair, which were course and very visible. Kellie has done an amazing job assisting me on my skin journey (acne, hyperpigmentation, fine lines that come with aging), which is why I continue to return. I do want to give some specifics for those who are curious what the experience entails, and might be a little hesitant to try something new. Upon entering the front door I was met with a smile and positive/relaxing energy, which is amazing after a long day. I was guided into a private room, offered refreshments, and Kellie proceeded to ask a detailed history and what my goals are for my skin. This information is important in order to tailor the services to my specific needs. I felt she really took the time to understand my history, and asked questions when things were unclear. I got the sense that she really was there to support me on this journey. I hopped up on massage table, and she put nice cushions under my legs to help support my back and make me more comfortable (I have back issues, so she was quick with a solution that worked for both of us). Music was playing in the background to support the healing energy of the room. She explained what she was doing and why, which was helpful for my logical and curious mind, throughout the services. I have received services such as Radio Frequency, Skin Tightening (I mean, I'm in my 40s now and your girl needs some help as collagen production is reducing. Lol). I have achieved noticeable results of my skin being brighter, tighter, plump, and a noticeable reduction in fine lines. Kellie is VERY knowledgeable in her field, and it is evident in the way she answers questions, even ones I didn't know I needed to ask. She will explain what products are recommended to support your skin in between sessions, and even write them down if you are like me and forget things like that as soon as you walk out the door. I think it's also important to note, that while Kellie offers many amazing services, I learned that it is up to us as individuals to do our part at home as explained to maximize the intended outcome. I miss my skin girl Lydia so much!!!…read more When I first moved to AZ, I knew I needed to find someone that understood acne prone adult skin but to the levels of even the emotional and spiritual side of things. And our homie G-O-D and also Yelp pointed me directly to Dew Skinbar. I've had a few facials and treatments with Lydia (the owner), as well as purchasing majority of the products that she has recommended for me and I would have to say not only has my skin been rejuvenated but also I'm so much more knowledgeable now about skin care and especially skin care in Asia (which I've always been curious about). I appreciate Lydia so much because she doesn't upsell or pressure you to purchase anything more than you really need. On top of that it's so nice to be able to have an appointment and basically feel like it's therapy (especially for us busy moms). I can't wait to schedule my next appointment with her.
