They ask you what you want and the last time I left after my gel builder mani, Lee said I could come back if anything went wrong with my nails and she would fix it. It's been about a week so far and no problems at all. I showed her a picture of what I wanted from their website but in a different color, and she delivered. I also said I didn't want them too long because my job requires handwashing multiple times a day, plus I can't function properly with nails longer than a quarter inch! My pedicures have been perfect each time. I like that they take the time to clean my nails thoroughly with sanitized tools. I don't normally get my nails done all the time, but when I do, it's always a special treat. The foot/leg massages that come with the pedicures feel sooooo good, especially if you're on your feet for most of the day. I also got my eyebrows thinned out and they did a nice job. I'm glad I don't have to drive far to get my nails done. They recommend appointments, but I have come in as a walk-in twice without a problem. I did make a last minute appointment today and they were able to accommodate me and my sister within a half hour. Men come in here regularly, too. The first time I came for my pedi, a man walked in and he went all out with his pedicure. We chatted for a bit and I had to give him props for taking care of himself!! After I left a review about my experience, the owner, Chris, reached out to me immediately. He was kind, professional, and genuinely apologetic. He invited us to come back to have our nails repainted and also offered us 50% off our next pedicures. Today, my daughter and I finally had time to return and give them another chance. I intentionally did not mention who I was or that I had a coupon before our services because I wanted an honest experience -- and I'm happy to say we were very pleased this time. My nail tech, Hanna, actually noticed that the color I initially picked might not be one I'd love. She took the time to show me, confirm with me, and help me choose a color that suited me much better. That level of care made a huge difference. I exaggerate, but it wasn't flush like the rest of my nail, it was really thick, and when it grew out, it looked dumb, and it got stuck in my hair... and that's not unusual for her. I don't know if she just doesn't care or just doesn't know how to do nails correctly. So I got tired of letting it go, and decided to go to a different salon. It's probably my fault because I am not very good at advocating for myself and saying something when it actually happens. They are usually really great at this location, so I guess be cautious of which nail tech you agree to sit with. I've had miscommunication before but this situation has never happened to me before. I requested to take off the dip powder/current color because he thought I was requesting a gel polish. As soon as I sat down, he chopped my nail after I repeatedly pointed and told him these were my natural nails that I wanted to keep. With each chop I stopped and told him these were my natural nails that I want and with each chop he reassured me in different ways of 'Okays, Yes,' and demonstrating to me that 'I see your natural nails and here' and pointed to the underside of my nails. I attempted to trust the process because 3 nails were already chopped off plus my last visits ended in beautiful work. It got worse with each step. My nails are now breaking, flimsy, uneven, and so short to the skin that it's terribly tender. Needless to say, I won't be able to visit any nail salon in the foreseeable future.
