I came in as a walk-in. During my experience, I felt very rushed. This was end my result of asking for basic round French tip. I mentioned I didn't like it. I was told by the tech, dip is expected to have uneven lines. I've been here for an hour and half, after redoing it I just settled with a solid white. The length and the shape were also not matching. My daughter requested her nails look like this picture. She was told, no problem but they look nothing like it! We could have gone somewhere else. Very expensive, and they rushed, not worried about quality or satisfaction. Also not careful with the file, very painful. The person doing her nails used the nail clippers on themselves while still working on her nails. Very unsanitary!! Will never go back! First pic is what she got, second is what was ask for. I would give zero stars if possible. Yesterday my sisters & I came in for an appointment (mani pedis) we made a few weeks ago. When we got there only two of us were sat & the rest waited which defeats the purpose of coming in together with an appointment. Once I sat the lady who was doing my toe nails she cut me four times with the file. Otherwise my toes looked fine. We sat down to get our nails done, my daughter was with us. She asked for a flower on her ring finger... it is the worst looking flower I've ever seen. They didn't charge us for it, I complained. My sisters got their nails done, only one is happy with their nails. Me? They never go to. I told the manager (I'm assuming) terry. He was very apologetic. Said he'd make it right the next day. I came back today & they gave me to the same woman I had yesterday who just left without finishing my services.. I felt like terry should have made it right. I sat down, told her I wanted overlay because my nails are breaking. I told her I could pay for it. She kept trying to talk me out of it. Told me to trust her. She had to do overlay on three nails & you could tell they had it & the rest didn't. I said it again, I wanted all the nails to look the same. She said I was getting a gel manicure that's what I wanted. I took my hands back & said I'll go somewhere else, she kinda panicked & then started talking to terry. He came over & said of course they can do it. I feel like she was mad & purposefully screwed up my nails. She rubbed my skin raw with a file on my thumb & my nails are SO ugly. They're crooked! The shape is AWFUL!! I'm gonna go somewhere else right now to have them fix it. DO NOT COME TO VARIETY NAILS. even the lady next to me complained about her nails. She said it TO ME because I had said sorry for being "complicated" when really I'm paying for a service. He said it was on the houses & I still offered to pay for them to get what I wanted. If you call & ask for an appointment or their availability they will tell you that you can be seen right away or at the time that you asked for & still have you wait forever. I waited over 50 minutes after my appointment just to be seated then the nail tech didn't ask me if i liked my nails or anything. extremely annoying! Not cool to make paying customers with lives wait so long after a time was agreed upon.. I also asked for a SOAK OFF & the lady went straight to trying to rip my acrylics off with another unused nail tip & tore my natural nails up. read more

They are all great and so friendly. They are so talented and do exactly as you want. It's easy to get an appointment and I love going there.

A few things, I really loved the pictures from other clients this shop has done so I decided to try them out. This past experience has been a complete nightmare. I have visited this shop 4 times within 6 days to fix issues. First day I got a fill. I was one of the first customers and it seemed as if the lady was rushing. One of my nails had broke and she decided to make her own shape and told me she figured I would like it since everybody else does. Then when I chose my colors, she did every other finger( green glitter green glitter) prior to me agreeing to it so I rolled with it since I had other things to do and really don't like to go back and forth. The next day I came in to switch the colors to the fingers I liked also to get a pedicure. ONCE AGAIN, rushing. They did not fully remove the glitter in the back so you could see it behind the pistachio color. I wanted that fixed and later that night I realized the lady didn't put a top coat on my toe nails which led to oxidation (bubbles) and a dry looking paint job. They charge enough for me to want that fixed as well. The next day I went back to get the nails repainted as well as my toes and I decided to change the color on my toes since I'm going on a trip. They wanted to charge me for a color change but I figured since they have to redo it that it would not make that much of a difference. She stated she was just going to paint over the toes. NO BUENO. Last day; a nail broke and as seen in the picture the shapes and sizes of my nails are different the man told me he could not fix it because he would have to repaint them all. Once again not wanting to go back and forth I rolled with it. Moral of the story Is; I like what I like especially if I'm paying for it and I should not be told no. Now I have to travel to california with Mix match nails. I may not go back read more

I went in to have an ombré done and showed a picture asking if it could be done. my technician said he could do it. as he was doing it I was a little concerned because the brown pieces look bad but I was trusting the process. when he finished I washed my hands and immediately hated it. the ombré was not the same from nail to nail and it wasn't blended at all. I got ip the courage while having my pedicure to ask if I could just have them painted over as I was so unhappy with how they turned out. the ladies called to the OG nail tech who offered to redo them, but proceeded to lecture me on how i didn't allow enough time for the manicure and how my nails were not even etc. But I'd come in at 9am and was the only one there at that time. I normally have a good experience here but I just felt like I was blamed. for the poor quality. to add insult to injury the machine wouldn't take my card so I had to use a credit card to pay. then he couldn't add a tip but pressured me to use the ATM to take cash out so I could leave one. it was just a very bad experience and I do t think I will be back. read more

I got a mani-pedi. The woman I had didn't speak any English which I empathize with but any time I tried to tell her what I wanted, she didn't even ask someone to translate. My nail shape is wrong, nail polish is chunky, and I couldn't even get the right color. She didn't even have me dry my nails, just walked away. I spent $45 and could've done the same job myself. I really liked this place at first...but honestly its not worth your time. They dont take appointments seriously & cater to walk-ins. Ive been here 3 times for my acrylic nails & each time i had to wait 30 plus minutes for a nail tech. They rush through your nails & for me i dont mind becauae i get natural coat & look on mine. But this last time waa the breaking point, i went in for a fill after making my appointment for 6pm(they close at 7), i got there 15 minutes early incase someone finished sooner & could take me...NOPE i waited an 45 minutes in their waiting area until Terry moved me to the back room to wait for a tech. When i tell you that the guy didnt start my nails until 6:50, i aint lying! He did my nails in 10 minutes, this guy didnt even file down the acrylic the put down to fill them with, i was left with these bumpy nails on the fill line. As soon as i got into my car i called right back & asked them to redo them the following day as i was leaving for Cancun the following morning. I was told that was fine and come back in...heres the gotcha gotcha..i waited ANOTHER HOUR for a tech! Terry squeezed me in as he was still working on a client of his own. As much as i appreciate that...i shouldnt have to wait that long, 2 hours basically for a 15 minute botch fill job & a repair. I called ahead and made an appointment and as soon as I arrived they were very helpful showed me their nail colors and how to select the one I wanted. They also offered me a 10% discount because it was my first time there :)! The environment was relaxing and they were super friendly. I LOVE THIS SHOP! I drive all the way from Maricopa to get my nails done. I show them a picture and they do exactly that. They have amazing customer service. First time visitors get 10% off. I still can't believe what happen. I made an appointment to have a fill and pedi. After waiting for 15 minutes, I left. when I was walking to Target, the lady at the front chased me down, grabbed me from behind by both arms and tried pulling me back into the shop. I had to tell her to get her hands off me. I went to Target, and a guy from the nail salon came over to find me, not to apologize for what happen, but to tell me to come back to the salon, he is ready to do my nails. Today was my second time here. Pedicures. Both times everyone was very friendly, super efficient, and my pedicures were beyond well done. I come with challenged toenails. As a hair salon owner myself for decades, including through this pandemic, I want you all to know, how difficult it is to accomadate everyones level of comfortability. For God's sake, respect a business that is trying to stay afloat and navigate covid. The first time I came a month or so ago, a woman walked in without a mask (it clearly says that masks are required everywhere!) When the owner told her that she must where a mask, she yelled at him asking "why?" Really? How disrespectful! You can find another nail salon that does not require masks. They exist! The owner was very professional, kind and firm on how he handled the woman. I was impressed and have spoke of the incident several times to my clients. Today, I am waiting in the pedi chair...Every single one of these folks are working their butts off and doing a great job. A couple young girls come in and tell the owner they need a fill and a full set. He explains that it will be a wait. There were several people waiting and every tech was working on a client. Then the girl says that he had told her to come in at 1 o'clock when she called...It was 1:20! So even if she had an appointment, she was late. They decide to wait in the lovely lobby. Masks on their chins! Then they are seated near the owner and his client in some work stations. Still, masks on chins. EVERY SINGLE OTHER PERSON WAS RESPECTFUL OF THIS BUSINESSES REQUESTS! The owners client who these girls were sat next to (not six feet apart) was unnerved. The owner was just trying to work and get his work done to take care of these two jokers. IT IS HARD TO RUN A BUSINESS! EVEN HARDER IN THESE TIMES! YOU CAN CHOOSE WHERE YOU WANT TO SPEND YOUR MONEY! IF YOU DON'T LIKE THE BUSINESSES REQUESTS, FIND ANOTHER PLACE TO GO...THESE FOLKS ARE BUSTING THEIR BUTTS TO CARE FOR THE CLIENTS IN THIER CHAIRS, ANSWERING PHONES, MAKING APPOINTMENTS AND TAKING CARE OF BUSINESS. This place is always packed beyond the amount of staff they can work people with. They'll tell you get in a chair for a pedicure and have you wait 30 minutes until your skin is prune and the water is cold. This is the only nail spa I used to go to. I really am disappointed with the numerous services I've received. My nails have been crooked before my wedding and I insisted on them fixing it as I was getting married, I was told it wasn't their job it was just the way my nail was, which is INCORRECT. Secondly, they charge so much for a mani/pedi- but rush you through the whole process and don't trim your toes right (I had to ask for them to push my cuticles back and they looked at me dumb). UPDATED REVIEW BELOW. I have been searching for a nail salon for a while now. I've been to about 3 locations so far. I can't say that I would go back, to most of them. Their initial set starts out great and really good service but the disappointment sets in after about a week, week and a half, later, when the nails start to just go to ! Coming loose, falling off, etc. ‍ I have yet to make it to at least 2 weeks before my nails go to ! Not to mention, most didn't offer the style of nails I like, extraordinary nails, stiletto, long, clear and blinged to the max!! I'm a NY'er baby, we don't do simple or ordinary!! , those words don't exist in our vocabulary! LOL Anyway, I heard about Variety Nails through a CVS pharmacy tech, her nails caught my attention and I asked her where she got them done. This was approximately 2/3 weeks ago. I finally made it there! I was greeted and seated immediately! Good timing on my part ... LOL I showed Terry what I wanted with some pictures so he would know exactly what I wanted. I confirmed that they had clear tips & acrylic (silly question right? WRONG! The last place I went to, I showed them what I wanted, clear tipped stiletto, said they could do it but come to find out, they only had regular white tips! NO CLEAR tips), rhinestones and chrome. Terry was personable, professional and very detailed! I wanted long, stiletto, CLEAR, nails with rhinestones and chrome (yes, again! I always get rhinestones and glitter) on a few nails. Terry even made me acrylics with GLITTER (mixed into the acrylic powder)! He made sure to do exactly what I wanted, paid attention to the little details (making sure my nails weren't crooked, for example). I was so happy with what he did, I was nearly in tears! Finally, a place that can do extraordinary style nails and do it right, bonus, did it with a smile! Thank you so much Terry! Outstanding service and nails!! Now will they stand the test of time? That is the question!!! I hope so! Nothing would make me happier then finally finding my "forever" nail salon?? Only time for will tell. Highly recommend this place!! Have UPDATE: So this is my second time at Variety Nails, this time for a full. First, I am extremely excited to report that my nails lasted the entire 2 weeks (and could of lasted longer)! The design lasted as well, which included rhinestones, none came off!! The chrome didn't even chip. This was one of the problems I ran into with the previous nail salons I've been to, the nails only lasted approximately a week, week and a half (barely)! I walked in and was seated immediately (I had an appointment this time). I showed Terry what I wanted and he made it happen. Beyond satisfied! Excited to show them off! I was so curious to see if he'd be able to pull off my extraordinary nail design request... perfection!! He's awesome! TY again Terry for your patience, enthusiasm and for going out of your way to make my nails look absolutely gorgeous and perfect!! Keep this up and you will have me as customer for years to come!
