Down in Tempe on a Friday afternoon & decided to scout out some place to get a much-needed pedicure. Where to turn? Yelp of course! It led me to Golden Nails Spa & I had an excellent experience here. You know what I really appreciated? The hospitality. Everyone smiled & was welcoming, from the one gentleman up front to the woman who gave me the pedicure & then the lady who answered the phone. This seems like something super simple, but I've been to nail salons where they are just not NICE. They are there to do the job but do not incorporate kindness & customer service...at a service-oriented business. Many nail techs seem like they REALLY dislike their jobs. And if you question how they're doing something to your hands or feet, or even ask?! They often act insulted. It's a fine line to tread. When it shouldn't be. I chose the VIP pedicure - see the menu! the man who had done my nails smelt of cigarettes and not just a little it was overwhelming. Very aggressive when applying acyclic and nail design. left with nail polish on my phone, and wet nails. Not to mention the shape. I already had square and somehow he made my nails look bulky. I have been to this salon 3 times now and have had an excellent experience all 3 times! It is hard to find techs who are careful not to burn the cuticles or nail bed and I have had so many frustrating experiences before coming here. I pass MANY other salons to get to this one and will continue to do so. They also have a loyalty card that will earn $20 off after 10 appointments. It's not the cleanest or most organized salon I've seen, but the techs are nice and do a great job at a reasonable price! read more

I am literally obsessed. I am so happy I stumbled upon this nail salon. I called in first and ask if they can take me the same day, once they said yes, I drove there and they sat me down immediately! The nail salon itself isn't the the most aesthetically pleasing but their hard work is!! I paid more than what i intended to but I'm so happy with the result I don't even care. This white and pink dip nail powder set was $65 plus tip. Everyone was so friendly and it seem like the other guests in the nail salon were all regulars which is a great first impression. I very rarely post a review so the fact that I'm taking the time to do this is either because it was extraordinary service or the worst service. Sadly, in this case, it was horrible service. Today was my first time coming to Golden nails. I called ahead and was told to come in at four even though I was able to come in earlier. I showed up at four but other people without an appointment were taken before me forcing me to have to wait. At 4:20 I was taken to a chair with not so much as an apology for it being so late. No water for me to at least soak my feet in while I waited. As of 430 a person who came in after me was being taken care of before me so I left. They may do good work, but I will never know since given this experience has made me want to never come back. Their customer service is severely lacking. read more

I ask for a regular pedicure.. I think everyone knows how a simple pedicure should look like. I did my pedicure around 3-4 pm came home and around 9:30 i got dressed to go out. I had heels on. At 1:30 am when I came home. I don't know if you could tell how thick my nail polish was. And you can't tell me that I didn't let them dry because I did. 4 pm to 9:30 is enough time to dry. read more

My nails are wounded from going to this salon. I have literal indentations in my nail bed that are so deep I they are almost into my flesh. If you can't use a drill without drilling into someone's nail bed you should not be using a drill. I do not recommend this place AT ALL!!!! My nails are literally like TISSUE PAPER!!!!! This time 2/20 I arrive 932. No one is there. I call and ask are you open today. "Yes be there soon running behind". Ok I understand. They open 947 not real apologetic. Brought their little daughter about 4yrs old. Ok it a small business. But she had her phone on so loud for cartoons it was horrible for 45 minutes. The over head music going wow and the TV. It was horrible. Way too much noise. I will not go back. I dont recommend. read more

Worst pedicure ever I had to leave after they took off polish .. I came right before closing and it was dead nobody else there besides me and one other person. The lady who did my nails spoke no English couldn't file my nails right she didn't do anything right .. idk how this place has good reviews maybe the day time workers do better but the lady before closing was horrible I should of known because of how empty and dead it was on a Sunday I was there for 5 min and she was already trying to put the paint on . And also the pedicure tubs look like they got mold on the bottom I even made her change me chairs .. health department needs to check out the bottom of there pedicure tubs . Update - to there reply they said 15 min before applying paint first off they never applied paint and they charged me for a full pedicure when they should have charged me for a polish removal . From the moment we entered, the salon had a quiet, soothing vibe and Manager Amanda greeted us and confirmed our services! LAN was so accommodating during my Mom's pedicure and gentle, always asking if she was comfortable! Jack did my pedicure and Mom's Acrylic fill mani! Fantastic skillset and we will come back for his services! Annie completed my mani for a hard gel fill. Upon Annie removing the old tips, she found a small area that looked like it was becoming infected! She advised to remove all old tips and switch to a Liquid Gel product! Would be healthier for my nails. Her knowledge of nail care/maintenance is superb!! My completed French Nails are stunning and I am SO happy with my new salon! I came here because of the good reviews but the service was rushed and sloppy.. I asked for a full set almond French tip. I called a day in advance and made an appointment. The guy doing my nails was nice but every time I asked for him to fix something he just looked at me like why expression. You can clearly see in the photos the French is sloppy, lines are very wobbly, and one finger the white isnt even painted in. I was cut on a couple fingers when he was quickly drilling them down and not sure what this white stuff is around my nails but having to clean them up .. I wish I could get my money back.. I opted for the mani-pedi foot spa. The tech was very skilled and very thorough. She asked me if the water was ok (it was) and was very efficient. Part of the treatment is hot towels and hot socks on your calves and feet. Very relaxing. The only downside was they don't accept credit cards so I used what cash that was left in my wallet ($80 on a $73 bill) so could not leave my usual tip. Today was my second time going and so far I love this place. I've had a great experience both times. I request Lynn to do my nails and she's nailed it each time and is very accommodating to making any changes if requested. Pedicures are pretty good. I never notice the small details until I get home but to be fair no one is up in my feet to notice and the ladies are all very friendly! The gentleman that was up front today was also friendly! I'd shown the guy an inspiration pic on a square shaped nail and he stated he could do the simple design. Wrong...he made excuses after the fact that the nail shape prevented it. He instructed me to keep putting my entire hand under the lamp after only painting 1 nail tip at a time. The color was not nearly as vibrant as their nail color displays as it was on my fingers. He kept coming with excuses of why the nails were subpar. After only 1 week, the nails are lifted near the cuticle and look like horrible press-ons. When it's time to pay, he and a lady were pressuring me to pay them directly (vs the salon) via Zelle or cash app bc I wanted to pay by card, in which I kept denying. Made me think that they were doing some sort of business 'under the table'. Horrible. read more
