Incredibly lazy. I've come here a couple of times and won't be back after yesterday. I came in for a pedicure with a friend and the nail tech did not remove my regular nail polish with acetone but decided to electric file it off instead. Super lazy and bad for my nails. He did not use nail clippers at all or cut my cuticles, just skipped two steps of the pedicure. To top it off, he USED THE WRONG COLOR, never confirmed he had the right one. I also paid extra for callous remover and he did not spend more than 10 seconds on each foot. Total scam. A pedicure here is basically $50 and I genuinely think the carelessness and laziness of the tech makes this an absolute rip off. You'd be better off doing it yourself at home. read more

This was my first and last time here. Came in on a Monday, early afternoon. My nails are not in the best shape, I will start there. I let the front desk know that the nail tech who did my last gel manicure really damaged my nails because some were splitting and flaking. I showed her what I was talking about because the gel was already chipping badly after 2 weeks. They suggested I do dip powder since it would make the nails "harder" so to speak. I sat down to do the dip powder and get a pedicure as well. I believe the tech who did my pedi was Adrianna (?). Super nice and did a great job. Can't complain about her at all. I do not know who did my dip powder though. The tech brought out a bowl with 2 plastic baggies and told me to stick my hands in it. The baggies were full of acetone nail polish remover to take the gel polish off. I've never been anywhere that removes it this way. It was weird. Once the polish was removed there was no manicure or prep done. No cleaning of the nails or anything, no buffing nothing. She just went straight to the powder process. After she put the layers on and cured the top layer she didn't do any clean up and my fingers ending up looking like I tried to eat smurfette. She said that was because my nails are short, which I prefer. I've done dip before and never had that issue but whatever. At the end she noted how dry my hands were and I responded it's probably because you had me put my hands on a bag of nail polish remover. She then proceeded to rub cuticle oil on my hands. She didn't bother giving me the actual manicure and putting oil on the cuticles but rubbed it on the top of my hand. It was just a very weird experience and next time i am in town I would not go to this place at all. read more

Julie was very rude to me and charged me $72 twice. I was calm with her and she made a big scene when i just wanted clarity on what was happening with my money. I still havent gotten my money back and my nails were very short french tip which i think $72 (TWICE) is pretty expensive for the basic nails i got. read more

The nail salon I usually go to was unexpectedly closed, so I decided to check out Julie's Nails. I was seated right away without an appointment. The salon has a lot of natural light, and you are able to see Watermark across the street. They also have a nice selection of music in the salon. KC was the nail tech who did my gel manicure. He was very nice and did a good job with my manicure. I did have to reshape a few of my nails when I got home because the edges were a little too sharp for my liking. Worst Manicure and Management I had a manicure at Julie's Salon on February 22nd. The manicurist would not talk or look at me unless she had to give instructions. I wasn't paying much attention to what she was doing. After I got home, I noticed that my nails were all trimmed very short and most of them were rounded. The big toes were especially bad and started hurting the next day. I have been soaking them in Epson salts and covering them with Vaseline ever since. It took until March 15 before I could wear shoes without pain from my big toes. A week after the manicure I visited the salon and spoke to the owner/manager. I showed her my toes and told her how painful they were. She agreed they were cut too short and should be cut straight and not rounded. Her only comment was "sorry about that". read more

I've been a regular customer since last year and had consistently good service until my most recent visit. I went in for an acrylic fill with gel at 5:30PM, and by 5:50PM, the nail technician was done. She rushed through every step, giving the impression she was in a hurry. Despite making an appointment in advance, it seemed like she wanted to finish my nails as quickly as possible. The technician wasn't careful with the electric nail drill, using it so fast that it burned my fingers a couple of times. When I pulled my hand away because of the pain, she didn't apologize. Instead, she kept instructing me on how to position my hands, and she wasn't polite about it. She painted my nails hastily, resulting in a terrible outcome. Each time I placed my hands under the gel lamp, she had me remove them before the light turned off. She was so eager to get me out of the salon that she paid no attention to the quality of her work. Now, one of my nails on my right hand is chipping due to her poor job. She left the edges of my nails sharp instead of rounding them as I had requested, causing my nails to stab my skin. I had to go home and file them to make them smoother and rounder. Due to this awful experience, I will never return to this nail salon. read more

I've been a loyal customer since last March when I moved into the area and have always had great experiences with the staff. The owner, Julie, is so sweet and always makes customers feel welcome/appreciated. With the amazing experiences I have had, it unfortunately doesn't overrule the last two I had. I called in advance twice (during Mother's Day weekend + last Thursday) to request a specific technician and when I got there, I was placed with another although he was working. I was not told that he had another appointment scheduled over the phone or in person when I arrived. Last Thursday, it happened again where I was placed with another nail tech despite requesting one via phone. Although I do have a tendency for ingrowns on my big toes, the woman who did my pedicure was unnecessarily rough which caused me to bleed for 25 minutes. Antiseptic was constantly placed on my toe and we had to continue to stop the pedicure multiple times because I would not stop bleeding which made me nervous I was going to get an infection. The soreness persisted until only a few days ago. I requested for the nail tech who did my acrylic fill to also do a French tip and he said he couldn't curve the line like how it normally looks due to his brush. I then was moved to another tech who told me that he could do it, but was just being "lazy". At the end, the woman who did my pedicure provided my total which was not discounted despite the horrible experience I had. I no longer want to be fearful that my requests aren't met or I will be overly snipped during what should be a relaxing experience and will unfortunately not be returning. read more

I got a classic pedicure (added callus remover) & a regular manicure on Sunday afternoon for $85. I got regular polish on my toes and no polish on my fingers--It's Tuesday morning and my fingers look horrible (like I need a manicure), the edges of my toenails aren't even painted, and the sides of my big toes are swollen, red, and THROBBING. I was really looking forward to this place opening because it's so close to my apartment. I called to make an appointment. Whoever I spoke to was very nice! The salon is so nice and clean and very updated and modern. I was offered a free lotion and some water. I picked a color from their selection and then was told they didn't have it. Then I picked another color. Also didn't have it. Finally picked a third color and they had it. I asked for the matching gel color for my pedicure they said ok. It is not matching. When I first walked in I showed a picture of a design to the lady who was helping me and I asked her if they can do it. She said yes. She took my old dip polish off but then got up in the middle of it and a man took over for her. I showed him the picture of the design and he said he could not do it. I asked if anyone else could and he said no. He was sloppy, rough, and seemed bothered by the fact that he was doing my nails. He knicked my pinky and it's killing me. Came here for the first time and nail tech disregarded everything we said about my daughter's nails . She put way too much gel. And we went the next day and the owner/manager son in law was visibly upset with us and would not allow us to explain to him . He attempted to remove the nails before we finished explaining . Service is awful. The treatment I received was awful. I sat at the front for 5 minutes before anyone greeted me. I was planning on getting a mani-pedi but they were extremely rude when they finally decided to acknowledge me. They began to speak about me and laugh and i watched as one of the employees ran to the back so he wouldn't have to do my nails. I should've turned around but i did the pedicure. I wouldn't go here ever again. To top it off the lady in the front gave me attitude and they painted my nails awful. They're not friendly people. Adding onto this review. They ruined my nails and didn't fix it. i got my toes painted white with regular gel and they sent me off without fixing it. They are pretty racist.
