I love coming here and seeing Kaya! The whole team is fantastic but after she did my wedding nails last year I'm addicted! I'll let my pictures speak for themselves on her talent but all I can say is, trust your nail tech! All of these folks are extremely talented in their trade and are so kind and supportive. The salon is cute and has TONS of color options to choose from. I also really love the little strip mall area it's in, covered in flowers and greenery that really takes you back to old Tempe. I discovered My Dear Nails through Wildjoy Experiences on Instagram, and after seeing their featured pedicure, I thought, "I need to try this place!" I was pleasantly surprised that they could accommodate me the same day, just a couple of hours after calling. When I arrived, I was greeted and asked to take a seat and choose a polish color. I noticed their $85 summer special advertised at the front desk, which appeared to be the same experience I had seen on Instagram. It was more than I typically spend on a pedicure, but the photos made it look luxurious, with all the little extras I enjoy. I'm currently looking for a go-to nail salon, and I'm not opposed to paying premium prices if the service delivers a premium experience. Unfortunately, the experience fell a little short of my expectations. The pedicure itself felt relatively quick, especially considering the price. The hot stone massage was very brief, and while the promotional photo featured a margarita, which gave the impression that a beverage might be included, I wasn't offered anything to drink--not even water or soda, despite seeing a beverage cooler near the entrance. The atmosphere was also unusually quiet. I'm accustomed to a little friendly conversation at nail salons, but my technician barely spoke to me or checked in throughout the service. It wasn't necessarily bad service, just not the welcoming, pampered experience I was expecting. Overall, I felt there were plenty of advertised extras, but the actual experience didn't quite justify the $85 price tag. So why four stars? The quality of the polish! I chose regular polish, and my pedicure lasted several weeks, which is surprisingly rare compared to many salons I've visited around the Valley. That alone deserves recognition. I also noticed they offer other pedicure options in the $45-$60 range that seem to include many of the same treatments. This place is a perfect example on how to crash a business. I found this place on Instagram with a video about their pedicure . It looked amazing and I looked for the address and went there , first appointment was decent , the place looked full and the gel meni pedi looked ok ( even though it took me 10 min to convince them to do the specific style I wanted ) . Since it is close to my house I came back , this time the place was empty and one of the employees was laying down on one of the pedicure chairs . I asked for gel meni pedi with callus removal ( extra 15$) . While applying the acid to the sole of my foot the guy that did my pedicure had the acid go all over his wrist and he sprayed it with water to try and take it off . Being a physician I told him he should go wash his hand and he refused . He then went on to do my feet and after he was done his gloves were still full of acid when he washed my shins . He rubbed acid all over my anterior leg and it started burning . I told him that it burns so he sprayed it with water and rubbed it with a towel, and at that point it was burning hot and turning red . I told him it hurts and he said it's not red and it is " only small" . I asked if they have an antiseptic so without asking me he sprayed it with ALCOHOL !!! At this point it was already a first degree chemical burn that was sprayed with alcohol ! Needles to say it was extremely painful and then he rubbed it with a towel . I asked if the had Neosporin and he said no they only have the alcohol and offered to spray it again , I said no I'll take care of it at home and wanted to leave . He then went ahead and turned on his clock for how long he should be doing a foot massage and massaged my burn until I said to stop since it hurts . During the same time I also got my manicure where she filed my skin until it became raw . Unbelievable , and I'm still in pain . At checkout they offered to takes 15$ off and said fine but it won't change the fact that I will never be back . Attached is a photo of my burn , awful ! read more

I thought about getting the regular pedicure then went with the Green Tea I think it was! It has citrus and amazing smells and was calming. Paraffin wax is always to die for and getting legs rubbed while soaking the feet! Hot stone rub was amazing as well! The gentleman was amazing and listened when I told him about my bone spurs! There was a spot above my Achilles that he found during the massage and man I needed that! Helped relax my leg and foot! Now for the colors there are so many available. I went with a neat deep pink ish red and they sure do sparkle and shine! Great spot for a bridal party or girls day of pampering! When I'm back in phoenix I I'll visit again! read more

I didn't realize this salon has only been open for 1 month. From making an appt to getting my nails done, everything was perfect. Lindsay, had free rein to do my nails with the colors I chose and she is a magician. She got me to step out of my comfort zone but not too much. Who knows maybe I'll get to a somewhat almond shape by November. Thanks again, and also for the coffee house recommendations, that was the icing on the cake. read more

I live in Tempe and saw a recommendation for this place so I gave it a try. I called last minute for an appointment on a Thursday afternoon and they were able to fit me in. However, I got scheduled with a tech who was not so sure of what he was doing. I asked for acrylic and he said gel-X was better. I don't like gel-X nail extensions, I've had them before. We proceeded with gel-X anyway. When I said a couple of my nails were off centered, he said my middle finger is crooked and that's why it looks like that??? (It's not btw). He replaced only that nail and proceeded. More comes with this story.. however, I wouldn't write this place off, I think the place is nice and other nail techs are really good (offering him help while he was doing my nails plus the photos uploaded on here). I went for a walk in appointment, and they were actually booked where I needed to come back. As I was in my car looking for the nearest nail salon that could get me in, the lady came out to my car to let me know there was a cancellation and I could come in. Great customer service! I went for the milk and honey pedicure, which was AMAZING. The atmosphere was relaxed and all the workers were extremely welcoming. I would recommend their services to anyone looking for a good pedicure with an hour to kill! read more

UPDATE: unfortunately i'm gonna have to edit my review. i came to this place on thursday & loved the work i had done. the things is, it's now barely monday, and the top coat is already peeling off + some paint is chipping. this has never happened to me before :( im kind of sad knowing i paid $260 for this set alone. love this place! my nails are so cute & the service was great. my card was having issues at the register, but they were understanding of it & had me zelle them instead!! i'll make sure to bring my physical card next time . the only thing i had a problem with was that the person who worked on my nails, cut my cuticles a bit too much which caused me to bleed a bit & now my fingertips are a bit itchy since it's healing. it's not that big of a deal though! read more

Pros- clean space- just do NOT use the toilet. There was poop everywhere and it smelled so bad in there. Cons- the owner Kate was talking badly about other nail techs to me, While you're getting my nails done- And also to other nail techs while working on my nails. Which is super inappropriate as a business. She kept talking about how the other acrylic person left and her "tacky style"- she showed me and the woman's nail work looked SO CUTE.... But the problem is that because the other girl left so now she's the only one who can do acrylic, and she has to take all the acrylic appointments. But... how is that someone else's fault? If you own a business why are you only hiring one other person who does acrylics? It's a nail salon. Most people ask for acrylics. Also she kept trying to change my design I wanted saying it wasn't a good idea- for the record- I always do a variation of green and gold. I just had her do something plain rather than something I outright hated- because hell no. Why are you telling me what I want on my nails? Wild. Keep in mind this was my first time and I won't be coming back. Also anyone who needs AI to fix their responses really should re-evaluate their business model or hire someone to manage that. I really enjoyed the ambiance of this nail salon. The staff was friendly, the nail techs were great, and they have a huge selection of polish colors to choose from. I had a 5:30 PM appointment for the Summer Special Pedicure. Although my appointment was at 5:30, I wasn't seated until about 5:45. The menu advertises this pedicure as an 80-minute service, but my pedicure was finished by 6:37 PM, making the actual service time less than an hour. That left me confused and a bit disappointed since it was significantly shorter than what was advertised. That said, the Summer Special Pedicure itself was wonderful. It's not the type of pedicure I would normally choose, but I decided to treat myself and really enjoyed the experience. My only disappointment was that the service didn't match the advertised duration. If the timing on the menu were more accurate--or if the full 80-minute service had been provided--I would have left completely satisfied. read more
