These people are insane! I went to get a pedicure that they tried to charge me $50 for & barely touched my feet. I asked if they will scrub my feet with another instrument & that told me that would be $9 extra for a service that should've been included in the price!!! The man literally got mad & told me he was offended for me asking questions about my services! I even told him that maybe they just do things differently & that it was ok I just was asking because it was different to me. The male kept trying to argue with me after I even stopped talking so I let him know that I was the one offended for being charged $50 to soak my feet for 5 minutes & rub my legs & toe polish! he carried on so I just told his wife that I didn't even want polish just my pedicure & she had the nerve to say, "Well the polish is part of the price, so if you get polish or not the price is still the same"! Ann and Chad are the business! I have gone in twice now and each time they shoot it to me straight and give me exactly what I want. I make an appointment because I know it helps them but it keeps me from running into another appointment with another client as well. I would highly recommend that anyone goes to them because of how hospitable they are and how amazing my nails look. I'd suggest trying out the gel liquid stuff that they have. It's different than gel polish. It's a replacement for acrylics and Ann does a killer job. They feel more natural and look a lot nicer than acrylics because they aren't thick and bulky! Trust me. Then I moved away and STILL have yet to find someone as amazing as she is and my nails have definitely suffered as a result. I've lived in a lot of places and gotten mani pedis in many cities and towns. No one comes even close to her regarding her professionalism, how genuinely nice she is and the amazing work she does. Called for a pedicure appt and got in within 2 hours. Amazing service when it comes to sticking to the guidelines during COVID-19. Everyone was in masks as well as myself. Had to ring bell before entering, they greet you and take your temperature. Fill out a form, sanitize then can pick color. The woman who did my pedicure was super nice and very attentive. So Anyway at this point I was like JUST GET ME A GEL Manicure!!! I forgot to ask for colors they had...the price for their Mani..(usually pay $25) and...yeah...so it went like this.. I sat down, tired..hot...the nice man sits in his chair...files my nails SHORT with a USED square file thingy...ew..(grrrr..btw Im trying to grow my nails....sir) then finally finishes and I then asked for Colors...I wanted Hot Pink..for the Summer..you think he had it? NOPE. I had to pick this ugly pink..(no Color Variety) then he only applied two thin coats!!! Like whaatttt??? (Oh it gets BETTER) It was finally done...he had been going back and forth with another customer..so I felt unattended at times..but he did ok and finished in a timely matter I guess...So I get up to Pay and Guess what... Lady was like "$35.00 Dollah" O_o I was like "$35.00?!!" ...she asked "Would you like for me to charge $35.00 Even?" I was like...(in my head) "Really? did you want a tip and some ice-cream with that too?!!! The gentleman who helped me was nice and the service was fast BUT the appearance of the store was pitiful. The initial color I had chosen was all dried up so I was given the choice of two colors completely different from the color I originally chose. I chose a pastel blue which we couldn't use because it was all dried up and I was given the choice of two different tones of greys... ok lol. And what they give you as complimentary Sandles is not even sandles. It's like two pieces of paper that fall off or bend as you walk to your car. Since I moved to my apartment I've wanted to come and get my nails done. I finally did today! Came here with my friend on a Tuesday afternoon around 3pm, only one client in the salon. The lady said hello right away and asked us what we wanted to get. I asked for a Gel manicure and my friend wanted a man's pedicure but I guess she is the only person able to do it and she was busy at that time, so he got a manicure instead. She told us to wait 2 minutes for her husband (I think) to get here. We waited at least 10/15 minutes. The Gel manicure is great, I am not going to lie, I asked for black color. I love the shape of my nails! However, I was very surprise to hear that my Gel manicure was $35! This is too expensive, I used to live in Cave Creek and it wasn't that expensive. My nails come out perfectly every time and my nails are so much healthier since switching from acrylics to the uv gel. After two years of going to them I moved to Peoria. I would still make the drive out to Tempe to get my nails done here. I made the mistake of going to a different place (closer to me) two times and instantly regretted it . They were garbage compared to what I was used to. Chad and ahn attend a nail convention every year to learn new things so they are always up to date on their nail knowledge. I called ahead to make a appointment and although they were busy when I walked-in, they still started my appointment right on time. Ahn helped me pick out colors and even discussed when trends were "hot" this season when I was unsure of what I wanted. This place was mediocre. The people were nice enough, but I'm not going back here. Tip: BRING YOUR OWN NAIL POLISH! Their selection is WEAK. They have so few polish colours to choose from, that it's not worth it to go unless you bring your own. I asked for a mani-pedi, which I got. Their massage chairs were nice, but I went through my entire pedicure waiting for the extra stuff I asked for (I had asked for their "best" pedicure off the menu) and it never came! FINALLY, I asked about it and he said that he "forgot" and thought I wanted a different package. I was pretty clear with what I wanted but I guess he didn't think so. Basically I paid and left. Since i've moved to Tempe, I decided that I needed to find a new nail place. Taking a short ride around my new place, I found Plesant Nails which is down the road from where i now live. That's pretty cool - I can just walk there. I have been going there since Mid-August. I feel I have a very good idea of how this place is. Pros -Ahn is awesome! She's been doing nails for over 10 years. She's very good at drawing designs. Even the crazy ones that I found online. I get tons of compliments everywhere I go. -Chad gives a good pedicure, but sometimes I want to just relax and unwhind and read magazines or the occasional text book, but he talks to me throughout the entire pedicure. I guess its okay, atleast he's funny! -They have relaxing music playing in the background and large plasmas playing movies on mute with subtitles. They are more than fine with stopping the music and turning up the sound on the tv if u want them to. -Their massaging chairs are awesome! If I had the room, I'd totally buy one! -Their lifegel uv gel product is the BEST overlay that I have every ever EVER used. I've had a couple of cracks but Anh has always been able to fix them. They are expen$ive but if you have weak nails like me, its worth it. CONS -After years of traditional dancing from my tribe, I've developed some serious calluses on my feet, especially my heels after my pedicure, I still find myself watching tv while taking a ped egg to my heels on week nights. And that's AFTER the sugar scrub and the callus removal treatment. It often makes me want to skip the pedi entirely. -My appointments can last HOURS!! Its not unusal for me to spend 2 hours at the nail shop. Once, I was there for 4 hours! I have to schedule my appointments for days when I don't have class. -My average bill is from $80-$120 depending on how elaborate my designs are. I've never spent this much on fills, designs, pedi w/sugar scrub & designs on the big toes! -And finally the ultimate con. They nickel and dimed me. What i mean is, they DO have a menu (its under the clipboard u sign when u walk in) however, when I first went in, they didn't tell me about it. They just said for me to tell them what i wanted and they'd make it happen. Me, not knowing any better said a gel overlay with polish and designs and also a pedicure with polish and designs on the big toes. At the end of the day, I spent over $140. I am always explained my charges at the end of the appointment, however - I'm charged for every single service. I didn't mind - per se until I saw the menu. Everything that i got comprises into two bundles that are significantly cheaper (about $20 less) than what I've been charged for for months now. They never told me about the bundles and have discouraged me from reading the menu this entire time. I finally figured out why! With everything added up, i don't know what to think. I love their work - I can TALK to them and we've shared laughs and I love that they are a family business. Its a clean store front and I get nothing but compliments on the quality of my nails. However, the marathon appointments are hard to make time for in my schedule and the fact that they overcharged me is hard to deal with. I am a fan, that's why I gave the 4 stars. However, they are NOT as good as it gets! I say, if you decide to go READ the menu and be sure you're not over charged for your services. Know that they take their time and you should plan accordingly or perhaps tell them how much time you have to spend there. But know that your nails are going to be more than pleasant, they are going to be beautiful! read more

I've been Anh's client for about 7 years now, and I wouldn't trust my nails to anyone else. She & Chad are extremely knowledgable about nail trends, safety, and provide the utmost in customer care. Walk-ins are welcomed, however, they are rare because they are usually booked with long-term standing clients. I saw a girl with a great French acrylic nail manicure and she referred me to Pleasant Nails. That was over 5 years ago. I have been consistently going there every two weeks ever since. The backfills are beautiful; the work is meticulous. I have never had infected cuticles, fungus or any of the other maladies common to having my nails done in the past. The workers here are incredibly sweet, and they have great massage chairs and the pedicures are awesome. (You get a great foot massage!) The nail polish selection is SPARSE, I would suggest bringing your own. There are only two people working, a man and his wife, who are both very sweet. They may attend to other customers while with you, though. They only knew how to do very simple designs, so if you don't want just a simple color or maybe a small painted flower on one finger don't go here. They were very quick, but I did have to explain multiple times what I wanted and even then had to settle due to lack of supplies. A mani/pedi cost 63$ plus tip. Very sweet people, and remember you every time. Will go back for just a pedicure or if I need just an extremely simple look, otherwise id look elsewhere. read more
