They do your nails poorly so that you have to come back sooner. They also do not paint your nail completely and it looks like your nails have already grown out after only a few days. The manager who answers the phone and runs things did the WORST job on my nails. Instead of fixing it she tried to make excuses and said I hadn't JUST been in, laughed at me and made fun of me to the customers in the store. You wonder why you don't keep clients, I can give you a big long list. The only good nail techs are the 2 younger women and the one older woman. I came in late on Friday. They originally said they would do a pedicure and gel manicure. I got a pedicure from the older woman and she did a good job until she messed up and took a chunk out of my big right toe. Then they said, "oh you pay for both and come back tomorrow for gel manicure." I was a regular at this Nail Salon so I agreed. I went back and they were all just sitting around. The manager did my nails and they looked like crap. She didn't paint all the way down and then blamed it on my nail growth. Really?? I've included pictures of the chipped nail on a 6 day old gel manicure and the pedicure done the day before. It makes ZERO sense that she would tell me it was my nail growth when it was her poor work and I was upset about her bad work since the day she did it. They have lost a regular, every 2 weeks, customer because of how the female manager handled the situation. She should have fixed her poor work and done a good job like I paid for. read more

The first woman did not understand what I was saying and ignored all requests causing me discomfort during my pedicure. I arrived later in the evening, an hour before closing but I promptly greeted. I don't recall the wait time but it was a little longer than anticipated but I loved that I was offered water and give the chance it shit in a chair & use the massage feature while I waited. This is something that's never been offered to me at any other salon no matter how busy. There were only 3 techs all were tied up, but as soon as one finished she wasted no time to start on my pedicure. Sometimes I feel uncomfortable when techs speak in their native tongue, especially if laughter is involved. They made me very comfortable and spoke primarily English, when they did speak their native language I didn't feel as if I was the topic, as I have in other salons. My pedicure was going to go longer than the hours of operations but not once did I feel rushed or as if they were rushing. Another customer had finished her manicure after the salon had closed & was waiting for her hotel shuttle, she was going to wait outside but the owners/techs insisted she wait inside until her ride arrived. Part of our conversation was that I also wanted my legs waxed, & they were totally cool with waxing my legs still even though they were now technically closed. I really appreciated all their efforts to ensure I felt taken care of. The service was excellent and I will definitely return and recommend. **Update - downgraded from two stars to one. I wish I could give it ZERO stars. Right at the one week mark I had two nails come off and one chip. I can tell by looking at my nails that at least 4 more will be off by the end of the week. I've been hettibgbt mails done for years and never had these problems. It's kind of funny that Christie was insulting the work on my nails that had been done by my normal mail tech (Tubi Nails in Glendale) yet it was the work done by Unity Nails that didn't last. This place is the worst. ========================== I was at this place for over two hours for a fill and pedicure. The fill process went fine with Christy (in regards to time). I asked her to do ombre on my fingernails and I wasn't happy with how it was turning out so I asked her to go back with the original plan of French. I can't tell if she gave me an attitude about having to re-grind my nails and start over it if she was kidding about it. I guess I'll let that one go. I was then moved over to have my pedicure by a young girl, likely not even licensed. I told her many times I was in a rush. I think a snail could have given me a quicker pedicure. It took her 30 minutes just to paint my toes one color and she still wasn't done. She found time to stop and watch some TV while standing right in front of me. She also didn't initially paint my big toe completely (she didn't paint down near my cuticle). I've been getting pedicures of over 20 years and have never seen that one before. She looked really confused when I asked her to paint the entire nail...it's like they were trying to save money on polish. Christy had to come over and finish my pedicure. I have been here several times and I have never been completely satisfied with the way my acrylics have been done. I am happy with the way they do my pedicures, which is why I come back. But last Friday was my last. My nails were rushed and done very sloppy. The manager did my nails and it wasn't a pleasant experience. I wanted my nails shorter and shaped different. I didn't care the price, I knew it would go up. But she made me feel bad for telling her the way I wanted them. I have bubbles in my nails, the paint job is horrible, and the shape is completely not smooth on the top. Definitely not a relaxing setting. I took pictures of my nails when I left the salon and contemplated about calling and complaining. But I gave it a couple days and I had to call. I spent 60$ with tip and I was in happy. I've been a loyal customer here for almost a year now, getting my nails filled twice a month. I was extremely disappointed this last time I went and sadly won't be going back. The lady did my a fill in 20 minutes and though I appreciate the quick work, it was very very poorly done because it was so rushed. Each nail was a different shape, bumpy, uneven, and my nails underneath were not cleaned. The worst part was the color job. The color was layered on so fast and thick that bubbles instantly formed and when I put them in front of the fan to dry, ripples began to form and push the thick chunks of nail polish on each nail. I showed the technician and she told me it's because the color I chose is too old. And while she did redo one nail, she simply caked on even more clear top coat on all of the other ones. I paid and tipped well like I always do and kept quiet. Two days later one of the nails broke off out of nowhere and someone pointed out to me how badly they were painted. Seeing as I am a loyal customer I thought I would go in and nicely ask for them to be fixed. The main lady just looked at me and said they'll do a top coat. ANOTHER TOP COAT?! I replied and said no, this needs to be redone I don't mean to be rude but it's done very poorly, to which she responded by telling me they would just do a top coat. I got upset, asked them to fix the broken nail and remove the color and went somewhere else. The woman who fixed my one nail was visibly annoyed and proceeded to tell me my nail broke because I needed a new set even though I got a full new set the last time I was there, ha! (Full sets last up to 6 months). I am done being taken advantage of and being charged extra for ridiculous things. Once they charged me extra to shape my nails shorter? What am I paying you for in the first place if anything basic I want done is "extra". Bottom line, don't go here. My girl Gina is pregnant at Rileys and out to have her baby, I'm headed out of town so my time was extremely limited. They get 2 stars because the guy that did my pedicure did a good job (and they were open at 9:30 before most places) The bad and the ugly: The older lady explained to me that it would cost almost $50 for a French SNS manicure! But if I did a white tip it would only be $38 (the same price as if I just did a regular color SNS) I wanted my natural nail since I had just grown it out for a month and couldn't understand why a tip would be cheaper than actually putting the SNS French on my nails but whatever I don't have time to argue..... white tip it is! She sawed my SNS off after soaking it off like I had acrylic the whole point of SNS is more natural and gentler method! She cut all of my natural growth off and started slapping the white tips on my nails. She was using the last corner of the SNS base on my nails and was struggling to do so, instead of just getting a new bottle or refilling the one she was using, she decided to tip the bottle over and not apply the base smoothly. Finally after the 2nd or 3rd application she decided to stop being lazy and refill it. The tips aren't even attached to my nails on all my fingers the SNS isn't smooth she didn't clean up the excess at all! So I went and got my nails done on Saturday (SNS NAILS) As everyone knows...if your nail tech has not had proper training (yes it takes proper training to do SNS nails) then they won't come out nice. Well, I made a mistake and should of been patient and went to my tech who always does my nails. But I was being inpatient and since I was in Tempe I would try a new place. WRONG IDEA! LAST TIME I COME HERE! Only good thing about this place is the workers. There very sweet/friendly and offer a 7 day guarantee on your nails or they will fix for free. Which is nice but they do not know how to do SNS nails. So it's pointless for them to even "fix" them. What happened to my nails? *there rough, not smooth *they look dull, not shiny *you can see bubbles, not smooth So, I will not be returning & I will just stay with luxe Nails in Goodyear! They did offer to fix them...but once again...how can you fix something that you clearly have not perfected how to do? HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!! first of all the manager nail tech put foil on my nails, let it sit for 25 minutes and didn't even try to wipe off the polish, she drills it for one second then brings me a bowl full of acetone and tells me to soak my nails. another 30 minutes passes by and my skin is drying out and peeling. She was so freaking demanding telling me THE CLIENT, move this, move that. then she practically told me i couldn't use my phone ... um OK? i'm here visiting and need to contact my ride to come get me. then she kept telling me to relax my hand, my hand was relaxed just not to her liking. fuck this place, $80 for a gel pedicure and sns manicure on my real nails. i have NEVER paid that much before and they are overcharging as hell. Aside from the incredible lack of detail and laziness in the workmanship, the color was totally wrong and NOT chrome. But I took my sister here when she visited and after waiting over half an hour past the appointment time that I'd scheduled weeks in advance, she received a pedicure so bad that she had to have SURGERY. At the time she had a little in grown toenail (very common) and the pedicurist offered to "fix" it. According to my sister's doctor, they completely botched it and caused the ingrown to only worsen. She had to have painful outpatient surgery. I don't like to leave bad reviews but felt the need to warn others so they can avoid the same experience UPDATE 7/18: My sister needed ANOTHER SURGERY!!! The doctor maintains and stands by his assessment that her issues were caused by this pedicure from THIS place!!! read more

I will never go back here, nor will I recommend this place. For starters it was $79 (without tip) for a pedicure and SNS. That's crazy. Secondly the nail tech was rude, borderline offensive. Lastly, I've been getting SNS for almost 2 years and I've been able to go upwards of three weeks between fills when I had to (2 weeks is average) without my nails breaking. SNS is designed to withstand a little more and is known for durability to an extent. Within just two days I saw cracks in every nail, with 4 days, actual pieces broken off, and now, just a week later, 3 fully broken nails and one that looks like it may go at any time. STAY AWAY. i came here for my nails yesterday and they look beautiful, but the lady doing them was a little rude and definitely too rough. at one point, i actually was yelled at for asking for my nails a specific way. my cuticles are red and irritated, and they hurt. i cant even wash my hands without them burning. she repeatedly hit my skin with the tool they use to grind down acrylics. the skin around my nails is raw. so while they did a good job on my nails, i wont be returning because of the pain during and after the service they caused, and because of the way i was treated. read more

The lady barely pushed back my cuticles and she literally yanked the clippers when cutting my nails. My Daughter in law asked for just nail polish and they did a full on manicure without asking. I wasn't a fan of the nails after a few days, but never had time to go back and get the nails that were lifting up fixed.
