Went in and had great service. The nail tech who was the owner I believe, was amazing. He listened to what I wanted and made my wedding nails look amazing. He took his time but still was quick. They are about 30 minutes from me but I will 100% be coming back. read more

Everyone was kind and the facility was clean. I'm giving low stars because I hate when I can't use my card to get my nails done. Using an ATM that charges me to remove money to avoid your transaction fees... frustrating. I'm happy that I overheard another patron used zelle Update: 1/13/20 It's taken me forever to do a review but here it is... I'm happy!!! Since coming to Phoenix I have literally tried a dozen different nail places in West & East valley, and central Phoenix. Like many, I need a combination of a clean place, many color options, and a business knowledgeable of styles/techniques. Vu has been my nail tech & he deals with my indecisiveness like a pro! 4 stars because my nails came out good and if I rate it 1 the review will be hidden, but my boyfriend and I went today to come get pedicures and my nails done. They rushed our services the entire time because 3 ppl total came in for a walk in. We both got the 2nd pedicure on the list which comes with a massage and they probably spent 1 min max on our massage and 15 mins total on the pedicure, and didn't even massage our feet. If you're going to rush someone who is paying you money and booked an appointment then you need to not accept walk ins. Won't be coming back, extremely disappointed. Update : my gel polish is literally just popping off and it's been a week. Don't go here read more

So I'm not gonna lie. When I first pulled up to the shop I was not impressed. The location was a little iffy for me. I really almost didn't go in based on that alone. Shallow -- I know. But I went in anyway because I had made an appointment with Lynn. And I'm glad I did. Lynn was really sweet and did a great job in my full set and the removal of my old set. She was really gentle and listened to what I asked for, even though I kept it pretty basic. The shop needs a little work inside to make it feel a little more inviting, and maybe more comfortable chairs for the customers. But I would come back just to have Lynn do my nails again. My only other complaint is that it was a bit on the expensive side considering location/shop style. I paid the same prices I would pay at one of the bougie nail shops that serve champagne. So I was a little off-putting. read more

This was my first time here, and as soon as I walked in it felt homey. The staff here is so nice and friendly, they made sure I was taken care of. I've been looking for a new nail spot up here in Tempe for a while now, and I'm definitely coming back here to Golden Nails. I usually get my nails done in Tucson, and my last set were thick and crooked, but thankfully B was able to get me right. Went here today to get a full Gel X set and gel pedicure. The pedicure was great, however, my hands are sore from being handled so roughly with the drill. My cuticles were scraped on almost everyone one of my fingers, causing them to burn and become red and swollen. Seems like the drill was put up to a really fast speed just to remove the old nails off as quick as possible and they weren't careful with it at all. I was also pretty surprised at the price of the gel x set which was $120. When i asked the breakdown for the price, they told me- 55$ for gel x, 15$ for French tip, and "design" which they couldn't really explain how much they charged me for. Doing the math, they charged me an extra $60 for the clear 3D design which would have been nice to know before hand. I thought it was strange since my friend that came with got a way more intricate and complex design ended costing $5 less (including 3D design as well). Feels like they just threw a number out there. Given the quality and price, i wouldn't recommend. read more

The owner was irritated that I even came in, acted like I inconvenienced her, Did a pedi in 20 minutes. The most half asked service I have ever received. I used to come here a lot and had to stop for a while. I decided to come in after a year. I must say I was very disappointed. My pedicure was okay but not what I paid for. Then my gel manicure was so bad and uneven like acrylic. I let the shop know and the owner said I could come back, but an hour later the person who did my nails text me to let me know that it was normal and if I didn't like them then I should peel it off. I told him I was going to come back and he said I should if I was going to be unhappy. That made me feel so uncomfortable that I let them know I would not be coming back and she basically said she refuse to refund anymore. Do not go here unless you want to be charged $80 for everything to peel or chip a week later. I must say a week later my gel manicure peel in the shower. I have never had that happen before. I will never come here ever again. read more

This salon was okay. They took two pedicure walk ins which was nice but they kept trying to push us into getting more services. Literally would not take no for an answer after 3 times of us saying we just wanted a basic pedicure. The pedicure itself was fine, she wasn't very extensive with nailbed cleanup or for scrubbing but painted my nails well. I give two stars because they did not use clean instruments for each person. I watched her walk over to me and use the same instruments that she has just used on the woman before me. Everything else I can give a pass for but cleanliness. read more

Beautiful and clean salon. It's esthetically pleasing to the eye. The owner is very professional, attentative, and on top of all the guests' appointments and their services. I didn't see her sit down once. She was constantly on the go, assuring that all guests were well cared for in a timely manner, and she took the extra initiative to address everybody by first name. I absolutely love the fact that she stayed on top of everything and kept all of the employees organized. This salon has fair prices and talented technicians. Don't come here. Last time I went they lied to me saying I could get a regular manicure along with regular pedicure. Then changed it to say they never do reg nail polish anymore. So why did you say you could just to get me in and it says it on your menu that you offer this service. I asked to just remove my acrylics then. She tried popping them off which is terrible for your nails: I told her that's not normally how it's done, she then filled it but did a horrible job. It's 15 for this service and she said it includes cleaning up nails and cuticles. She didn't do that and left a lot remaining. She also gave me rings of fire on my nails, where she filed too far into the nail, reaching the nail bed. Now my nails have lines in them and hurt. read more

Over priced for being rushed and not well taken care of. The gentleman with the anchor tattoo who did my nails assumed length before I had to tell him How long I wanted them then was rushing through the acrylic process and did not file all the nails properly some are bumpy and left a weird residue on my hands that is still peeling off. On top of that through the whole time was making side comments about my length and how long it was taking him like excuse my language but "b**** I don't care I'm paying you for a service and scheduled my appointment in advance we will be here all day until I'm happy!" read more

I am extremely disappointed in my experience with this place, as I thought I had found my new go-to. I went here for a gel fill for my birthday nails - and they were beautiful, but I had two nails break within 48 hours. I got them done the night before leaving for my trip, and decided to call the owner as soon as my nails broke so that they knew I was not asking them to fix week+ old nails that broke for free when I did return from my trip on Wednesday. The owner asked me to text him a picture of my nails, asked the nail tech, and proceeded to argue with me back and forth about how it was not their responsibility to fix the nails for free because his nail tech "said that she did nothing wrong" (after already saying that they would take care of it the day prior) and "only have a warranty if you get a full set, not fills". I now have broken nails for my birthday tomorrow and will be paying for a full set elsewhere as soon as I return. Frankly, this place does semi-good work if you are okay with nails that don't have longevity. The customer service is poor and they care more about making a quick buck than retaining long term customers. So sad!!! read more

DO NOT GO HERE!!!! The salon is full of a bunch of scammers. I used to pay $55 for my nails and went to get them done again today when they charged me $85. I didn't get anything out of the ordinary and don't know where all these up charges came from, but I'm not happy and I will not be returning here. Cery unprofessional of a salon to start adding charges without even confirming with the client before. Save your time and money and go somewhere else. read more

I went for a fill on my natural nails, showed pictures and wanted to confirm price before hand (my boyfriend was paying so I needed to know how much to request) I also suffer from ADHD so my decisio on what picking what I wanted was hard as this was my first time here and I wanted to make sure I got exactly what I wanted the tech B said that he can do any design and upon doing the design I requested he blamed my square nails for the design not coming out right, my nails were different shapes and sizes but I let it be because I understood I could've given him a difficult time, HOWEVER I have gel polish all around my cuticles that he didn't bother to clean up and told me it would wash off it's been 2 days and the gel is still on my nails and toes I'm heading out of town so I don't have time to go get this issue corrected requested a partial refund and they denied I've also noticed that only those of lighter complexions have good work done by them so I'm contacting the BBB for what I think is racial discrimination as well as disability discriminatio. read more

Called to make a appointment because I got referred by a family member and I asked for Lynn to do my pedicure because they are a regulars at this nail salon in Lynn always does their feet and their manicures and stuff and the guy answered and he's like acting like Lynn don't do feet when she does because there's regulars that are family members of mine that come there and other ones are referred to me to ask for her, and then he hung up on me in my face, rude no professionalism at all, so I will not be spending my money with them will not be coming here very disrespectful to hang up in my face and then I called back and I asked him. Lately i've been having a lot of trouble finding a salon that does quality acrylic work, and since my nails were wayyy last due for a fill, I decided to try Golden Nails since I was in the area. I was very disappointed with the way my nails turned out from the previous salon, and the tech explained that they were doing a poor job because my nails were sticking up at an angle, and it didn't help that I have very short nail beds. He happily redid my acrylics for me and was very very gentle, most places are extremely rough when filing my nails down since I get them done stiletto. I'm extremely happy that they finally lay flat and don't get caught on things like they used to, and i'll definitely be back!! The staff is so friendly and i'm so happy with the way my acrylics turned out! read more

I never hated a pedicure so much. Lady was drilling off my gel pedicure & it broke my toe nail. She did a horrible paint job, did not get my corners at all. My toes looks like a mountain of layer paint. I did not leave a happy customer, will not be coming back. read more

I came to the salon today and got a pedicure from Ashley. Wow she did an amazing job. My feet felt and looked a lot better after getting it done. She was very polite and cautious of what she was doing. I will be coming back and seeing her again next time. read more

This is the only place I will ever get my nails done! I have sensitive fingers and Tammy is so very good about it! Today she did a cosmic nail and it is wonderful! Her designs are beautiful and she is so cool and calm the whole time she is doing them! read more
