I've been here a few times, and it's always convenient--especially since I usually walk in or call for a same-day pedicure, and they've consistently been able to accommodate me. If there is a wait, it's minimal--usually just 5-10 minutes. The salon is clean, welcoming, and everyone I've interacted with has been professional and polite. The same gentleman is always at the front--possibly the owner--and he's friendly and thoughtful, often bringing me a glass of Pinot Grigio while I relax during my service. I've tried the Volcano pedicure and recently upgraded to another premium option (I can't recall the name and didn't see it listed on their website). I love how they customize a beautiful tray of products based on the scent you choose. I selected the Pearl scent and received a take-home lotion as part of the package, which was a nice touch. My only real complaint is with polish consistency. I prefer regular polish over gel, and depending on the technician, it sometimes chips within 1-2 weeks. However, my most recent pedicure has lasted almost 3 weeks and still looks great--so it might come down to technique or how many coats are applied. My technician was also kind enough to let me try out my original color choice and offered a much better second option, a beautiful neutral pale peach that might just be my new go-to. While the prices are on the higher side compared to other salons, I don't mind spending a bit more for good service, a relaxing massage, and long-lasting polish. The only reason I haven't made this my regular spot is the occasional inconsistency with polish durability. For reference, I don't hike or do strenuous activities, and I wear closed-toed shoes to work and socks at home--so chipping is definitely a concern. Went to get my nails done on March 7th, got a $30 basic pedi with no nail polish or gel due to my nail being thin. When I was charged on the pad it showed up as $35 I paid and wasn't given a receipt now my bank statement is $50 ??? $50 just to clean up nails and no gel or polish lol Definitely got scammed. Update: I went in person to dispute the over charge, they where rude and kept telling me to sit down. At the end I did get my $15 over charge cash back. After going over there now they are called me and texted me over 10 times in a row. Not only are they rip offs but like to harass. I have clear nail polish not clear gel. Stop harassing, it's done. They get you in quickly and out quickly as well. Went in for a pedicure and ended up getting a manicure too. I dont like gel polish as it can be quite damaging to the nails and leaves dents. Not sure if it's old nail polish but I did wait 10 minutes under the dryer area so they could get another customer in where I was once sitting. But I got a few dents in my nails. Today is day 5 and the nail polish started lifting by my cuticles. It didn't even last a week. She told me she could do it midway through. Today I selected "The Palace Dream" ($44) treatment and was impressed with how much care my nail tech provided with my service. With this treatment, you receive lime and sugar scrub massage. BUT I absolutely will never go back there again. i spent 120$ on myself. for the French tips to have bubbles, the pedicure which was also french tips when I asked for complete white toes. I come here from north Phoenix specifically for my pedicures! I love how classy it looks inside and how upbeat & friendly everyone is. One time my son (he was 4 months at the time) he got fussy towards the end of my pedicure and one of the ladies held him while she walked around with him which calmed him down. Every other time the manager in the front always checked in and made sure customers were happy, he even offers complimentary drinks! Overall I would say 10000/10 except 2 of the times I've been the person who has done me felt like they were rushing. As a nail tech, I usually file/cut the nails myself and I don't like the drilling, this saves time for them but I still expect the massage & the rest of the service done correctly. The last time I was the there, she basically just slapped on the mask but it didn't even cover most my legs, I used my calves to rub it around myself before she came to wrap it with the hot towel. He barley sugar scrubbed me as well. I went in for a manicure and the girl barely touched my hands before she started putting glue and tips on my fingers before I asked if I could have my nails cut and prepped before they go on. Then when it came to shaping she cut them and hardly filed the sides at all so they ended up looking incredibly crooked until I again said I thought they looked crooked. Throughout this whole process she cut me 2 times on 2 different finger with the electric nail file. They started to bleed but she immediately put NAIL GLUE on the cuts to stop them from bleeding. Ended up with gel and my nail beds were a mess. I went again asked for a manicure and said please no gel just trim and paint and he filed my nails until he was just filing my finger. I have been coming to Palace Nail Lounge pre-COVID. Yesterday was the first time I had been back since. I called just before 3 asking for an appointment for 3 pedis, 1 child pedi, and 2 manis. They were able to squeeze us in at 4! And we were seated immediately at 4, unlike other places where an appointment means little. A complimentary beverage is included, and they offer water, soda, or wine/beer. Definitely a nice touch! Unfortunately we were not able to sit all together for our pedis, as they are social distancing and leaving an empty pedi chair between everyone. I observed all the technicians wearing face masks. Julie was the technician working on my pedi. Yes she wore a mask, however, it was under her nose ‍ I chose the "raw earth pedi" which was $34. Tbh it wasn't worth it because it did NOT come with callus remover (extra $7). I would just go with the basic pedi ($26) and add the callus remover, because idk what made the "raw earth pedi" worth the $34. Julie did scrub my heels a few times which sufficed but did not use the "cheese grater." Several times throughout my pedi Julie tried to upsell me on a gel pedi, I declined each time. I noticed this has been mentioned in a few reviews; I think best practice would be to ask once and not continue to pressure the customer. My friend whose daughter got the child pedi had a flower design added onto both her mani/pedi. Cute right? Except the technician added the flower and charged my friend $3! Sus.. I will continue coming to Palace Nails, as they are one of the better nail salons in the Tempe/Mesa area. read more

So, I'm finally getting around to giving my review for Palace Nail Lounge (better late than never). First and foremost, it's my favorite! I've been to several salons over time, and this is by far the best experience. It's clean, well-kept, and upscale. The staff is nice and personable, and the Lazy Boy type recliners are an added benefit. Also, the complimentary drinks (I'll have a wine or margarita from time to time) don't hurt. I'm not going to lie, I feel a lil boujie but hey, "Treat Yo Self!" Theresa and Jenny are my favorite nail techs and I will continue to go to them every time! As a guy getting a pedicure, I'm very picky due to the fact I've experienced nail techs who figured I didn't really care what kind of job they did. This is not the case here, both Theresa and Jenny are always taking their time and making sure my feet are just like brand new. THANK YOU!! If you haven't gone, it's a must try! They are appointment only during this COVID time so make sure to call ahead and make an appointment or you can when you walk in. Masks are required so don't forget it. They do have/offer hand sanitizer which is cool. I have been going to palace nails for quite awhile. I have received the worse service, but overlooked it due to the outcome of my nails. The manger is awful. I came In later that my appointment due to traffic and he stated that my nail tech " would be working overtime and that his wife would be wondering if he would cook dinner". I left that day with out my pedicure due to the service. I came back once again. I was charged $5 for a broken nail. The nail was the wrong size. She Barley filled in my nails and they were all shaped wrong. When I came back to show the manager he said "he didn't have time come back later. " no apology. I googled the number for palace nail lounge for GILBERT and accidentally contacted this establishment in mesa. Upon my first call asking if my nail tech had anything available for the next morning. I was rudely told "you called the wrong shop no jimmy works here" and I said this isn't palace nail lounge and he said "this is the one in mesa you need to google the Gilbert one you have wrong shop" like? So I said would you happen to have the number and he hung up on me. I called back to let him know his attitude is horrendous and I'm thankful I've never been to that shop. Do yourself a favor and go to the palace nail lounge in Gilbert. Customer service is amazing, they treat you with respect upon first interaction and you also get a complimentary drink of choice depending on your purchase. I came in on my birthday and got sat fairly quick for a full set! I was super excited but the nail tech hardly greeted or spoke to me at all. Overall she was quick and efficient, minus an extremely crooked nail..and no, it's not my finger. When it comes to overall customer service I was highly disappointed, I asked prior to being sat if they offer white claws/alcohol and they said yes but yet I was never offered a beverage?? That was the whole point of me picking the salon in the first place. Lol. I decided to leave, grab lunch and come back for a pedi. STILL no offer of a beer/wine which was annoying but more rude was they couldn't at LEAST offer a soda/water when the fridge was full and many other customers had been offered??
