Worst experience ever. Nails were too tight for my nail beds. Went there for my birthday set they didn't even give me my change lady just thought that she deserved a tip for being rude the whole time. It was feeling like she was racially profiling me and my friend. The vibe was so off. Then she started squeezing my fingers so hard it hurt when she held my hand even tho she didn't ask me to move my hands or communicated what she wanted of me it was just straight aggression. I asked for a specific shape and she couldn't do that either. They lack customer service and failing to give the customer what they ask for 0 stars if I could. Best pedicure I've had in the longest time. Mike who is a little new to this salon's crew did my pedicure today and it was one of the best and thorough I've had in a long time. Just coming back from two days at Knott's Berry Farm and three days at Disney my poor feet needed all the help. I feel like a whole new human again. This was my first time at this nail salon, and unfortunately, it was not a good experience. The older lady who did my nails cut my skin during the service. I noticed that the brushes they used looked old and dirty, sitting in a jar of water. The overall hygiene seemed poor, and the quality of service was disappointing. Even the scrubber used was rusty. There were a bunch of colors to choose from as well. The nail ladies were also friendly and didn't try to upsell me on services (which happens A LOT in California nail salons!). I get to this place and it's one man one woman the man asked what kind of pedicure I wanted I chose premium and asked for hot wax which they told me 10$ extra ok fine but then he decided to cut down all of my toe nails when I stated before to not cut them to short! I end up not getting anything no massage no callus removal just plain polish ... which he didn't even bother to file my toenails evenly one was rounded the other square this place is horrible! read more

I had high hopes for this place. After getting my nails and toes done for the first time here, I caught an immediate infection that sent me to the ER. It affected all of my toes and to top it off I also had fungus growing under my acrylic nails. When going back to ask for a refund, they declined. They raised their price from $35.00 to $65.00 for a simple set of fingernail fills without any notice to us whatsoever and we had to sever ties with them. Which brings us to THE NAIL SPOT!!! Kevin nicely answered the phone @1:00P.M.,the only nail salon out of about 15 that I called to be open. He offered a 2:00P.M. Appt.: a BASIC pedicure for only $35:00, To which I happily upgraded for only another $10,00 to the deluxe model. According to my sweet, it was like well worth it. Kevin really did give her a professional and complete pedicure...Bravo Kevin!!! On the strength of Kevin's efforts, I made an appointment 4 her to get a fill job...looks like we got Mama a new nail salon, and you guys know how much our ladies need 2 have 'dem nails looking nice. I called yesterday and they were able to get me in same day which is very nice. I saw other reviews/pictures and the nails looked great so I held out a lot of hope for trying a new place. The service when I got in was decent. They were quick to do my nails but that was about all. When the lady asked for the length I liked she did so on my pinky finger, which is normal, but normally they match the look/length of nail to the rest of the hands. Instead, she kept the exact length for every single finger, which in turn made my middle and ring finger nails look ridiculously too small for my hands. I also asked for an almond shape, which I think she attempted, but due to how short the nails were and how narrow she filed the nails, they are way closer to a stiletto shape. After paying $72, I left and felt sad about the nails I received, but I am not a confrontational person at all so I tried to let it go. After hearing from at least 7 other people/opinions that I need to go get my nails fixed because they look ridiculous, I called the salon asking if their was anything to fix them without having to pay for another full set after only wearing these awful nails for one day. Not only did the lady say it was my fault and not try to satisfy the customer at but she stated that I would have to pay for another full set because she couldn't fix what she messed up. read more

First & last time here. I had a 6pm appointment for a quick fill & color. I wasnt seen until 6:40pm. The nail tech took his extra sweet time with the other client, and I get it you wanna do a good job but don't book customers that you can't see on time! Expand the window between clients. Then, I got the gel. ***7 coats to be exact: 4 color & 3 clear**** Omg. My nails feel like rubber & still "wet" although is gel. They also look super tacky & cheap now. But... they were closing at this point & I just left @ 7:45pm. Add the 1 hour traffic to come here (I drove with high expectations based on previous results & a friend on FB). Always so polite and well priced. I love how my nails come out every time. They really listen to what is that I want and they make sure to match it to whatever picture I show them. Let me start with the good. I called at 1:00 to see if I could make an appointment same day 2:30 for two gel manicures. They were able to get us in. 10% off with yelp check in. They honored the deal with no problems. They got us in on time. The employees are friendly. I didn't catch the name of the guy working on my nails but he was funny, cracking jokes the whole time. It made time fly and it was the first time I had fun at a salon. Now for the bad. They lost a star BC he was rough with the cuticle nippers. He cut me and I bled pretty good. Anther star lost BC he used the same nippers and clippers that he just finished using on the girl before me! Didn't sanitize them at all. His work area had shavings all over. He should be cleaning after each client. Unhygienic. I love the atmosphere of this place but the only way id return is if I brought my own tools. My daughter picked out the colors she needed from the wheel and gave them to her tech. The tech grabbed the wrong bottle and started applying it. I'm glad my daughter spoke up. She took off the wrong shade and applied the one daughter asked for. Daughter is happy with her nails. read more

I've been going here for the past 3 years. I came in this afternoon with the intent to get my nails done. I wanted to get gel nails on my natural nails with an oval shape. I explained to the nail tech that I only needed one nail longer due to it chipping. The nail tech was trying to charge me $43, but then said she was willing to do it for $40 and that they normally don't do that. I was confused due to the fact that she was trying to negotiate with me and that I've never paid that much still, to get my NATURAL nails done with gel. $43 dollars for my own natural nails with the one acrylic nail?!? The lady explained to me that if I got all acrylic nails on my nails with gel then it would be the same price. My main concerns was how would it be the same price if I'm not using they material as far as the fake nails, the powder, etc for all my nails, only that one that needed it. I've never paid more than $35 to get my natural nails done with gel. I'm not entirely sure if the lady understood what I was saying or asking. There seemed to be a language barrier that led her to get frustrated with me and she began talking to her other colleague which didn't really know English either then began yelling at me trying to explain herself again. At that point I just felt uncomfortable with her doing my nails at all, the fact that she became frustrated and began yelling led me to not wanting to do services with them. On top of that she said you're paying me cash right? I responded with I planned on paying with card and then she said they charge an extra $10 with card. I asked the lady to take off my one nail she put one and began to express I will not be doing services with them ever again. It was a shame that she got frustrated and felt the urge to yell at me, then not ask but demanded to pay cash because the charge extra to use card..... Long story short, I will NEVER be going there ever again. I hate to say this but this could of been resolved if there was someone there who spoke English. Very poor customer service here. read more

This salon is really really nice. The techs were amazing and friendly. My Mom did a manicure/pedicure while I had a gel manicure with design and color change on my toes, so really we had the full array of services. Jade did my design and another tech (one of the twins) did my nails and my mother's nails/feet. (I'm so sorry I can't remember my techs name she was great and I'm just really tired) They had a fun movie playing. The salon does not look like a typical nail salon with 80's nail art posters, and they do modern designs (not all flowers and jewels). Bring in any design and it's done! We loved it!!! read more

When I asked how much for design he didn't answer. They charged me $15 to do gel on my daughter's nails and the lady keep yelling at my daughter and getting annoyed that my daughter's had bumped the ladies finger and got the nail color on her. I have been coming to this salon for almost a year. I have always been a nail biter and when I decided to stop a friend had recommended this salon. I had only ever gotten my nails done for special occasions and always only last a days - a week (bad nail biter habits). I now come on a regular basis, 1-2 times monthly. I am so impressed with this salon and the professionalism of the manager, Jade. I had ONE bad experience with a new tech but Jade made sure to handle the situation appropriately and professionally. Jade is always so kind and so quick to do my nails, and they always come out perfectly. They last so long, hence why I sometimes only come once a month unless I chip or break a nail. I've been going to Jessica for a couple of years. She recently moved and opened her own salon across the street, which is called Nail Spot. It's located behind Kentucky Fried Chicken, on Baseline, right before Dobson, on the North side of the road. The salon is very clean. Jessica is a perfectionist and does an exceptional job! My mom and I came here in hopes of having a nice mani pedi for our trip to California the next day. We found this salon on yelp and decided to go because of the good reviews, cute decor, and they advertised 15 percent off on their site. The store really is cute but very cramped. You have to step up on little stools with the help of your pedicurist to get to your pedicure chair. That was kind of awkward. My pedicure was awesome thanks to Tim! He was very nice and cordial throughout my entire experience. What I love about tim is he didn't rush through my pedicure and he is very meticulous about his polish painting. Unfortunately Tim was there as a temp from another salon that is under construction. So he won't be there for long :( My nails looked great when I left the salon but a couple days later the polish had creased and chipped off. The manager was less than thrilled to allow us to use the coupon on the front page of his website and tried to give a lame excuse about why it couldn't be used. We had to prove we "lived in the area" with our drivers license in order to get the discount..... Whatever. So all in all our experience was just okay. I really wanted to like this place but my nails look like crap after just 4 days which is basically a complete waste of money. read more

I have never been one to get my nails done regularly but ever since getting full sets from JD, I've been coming every few weeks for months because I am so obsessed with how my nails look!! I am a fan of natural looking acrylics and he can do them wonderfully. He also has a talent for nail art. He uses arts and craft glitter which gives my nails a more dynamic sparkle.
