All I can say is amazing! If you are ever in the area you have to stop by Vy's or some amazing service. The staff is amazing and so understanding of what you're looking for. The employees are very personable with each and every customer which makes it even better. Of course depending on what you are looking for the prices can vary but I have never been disappointed with the quality of the nails or the pricing over the 3 years of going to Vy's. I have been going to their salon for 3 years now and have not had a single complaint. When I come in with a difficult design in mind they always come out clean and the employees never complain. I love this place and always come out with exactly what I wanted!! Some suggestions though, everyone is entitled to their opinions. I'm not saying the owner shouldn't have any but a place where people go to relax should not discuss politics loudly. The tv had newsmax on, how about a movie? Music videos? Something to relax to? I think the entire time I I sat my for my manicure the owner was next to me with a client passionately talking about trump. I had to put my music up loud so I didn't hear very uncomfortable. I paid like $80 for my full set and pedicure(I'm very simplistic) but they had gorgeous work to show throughout the shop- the staff was friendly and definitely knows what they're doing here! It's very convenient if you live close and don't want to drive far. Chandler, Tempe, and Scottsdale have the same prices and better service. I got both gel manicure and pedicure and my total was $80. The service wasn't great (the owners mom helped me) and boarder line terrible . I had water from the manicure spill in my lap; if you get both pedi and mani religiously you know they do both at the same time. My lap is soaked and the person doing my nails laughed the entire time while the mom kept yanking my legs so she could continue (spilling the remaining water). I had to ask for a towel because the lady laughing didn't care or didn't understand/comprehend. The person doing my nails got offended because I asked her to make my fingernails round. The mother of the owner had to finish my manicure because the original person was frustrated and didn't want to do it anymore (my gel is very very lumpy). The mother of the owner was passive aggressive; throwing brushes, glaring, slapping arms instead of massaging. LOL If you're up for some drama (mother passive aggressively throwing stuff, people not wanting to complete tasks) than go here!! You won't be disappointed . Today was my first time visiting this shop after countless days and hours looking for a shop that not only does nails but also specializes in nail "art". Service was fast and the lady(I have forgot her name) doing my nails held a great conversation with me. The reason for four stars will be below. I set my appointment up on Thursday afternoon for Saturday at 11am. I arrived around 1045 with hopes of getting in early or on time yet I was not seen until 10after. (My apologies to the family that was a walk-in as I could see they were livid I went before them). 10mins behind which was not too bad. This shop is one of the most beautiful I have seen since moving to AZ. Reason for four stars: 1. I would like to see a base price list of nail services, unless I just missed it.? 2. I requested the person who does nails from the IG post and believe I did NOT get her. 3. The nail tech. was not as confident in her (or so I was made to feel) work being she asked the more experienced NT a lot of questions. 4.The price is a bit higher than my California spot. Yet this is to be expected here in Arizona...there is not a nail shop on every corner but AZ is getting there, lol. 5.If there is a design I like or want, I come in with more than enough money to cover that WANT/LIKE! please don't second guess me as though I cannot afford it. I am sure this NT meant no harm by it and has possibly been burned by others in the pass but this is why I suggested there be a base price list posted some place in the shop or maybe even make a nail menu list of services as a sign may not go with your decor. Overall, if you are looking for more trendy and up to date Nail Art, this is the spot to go here in the East Valley. Scheduled an appointment for 5, when I got there they told me to wash my hands. I washed my hands. I waited 10 minutes to see if anyone was going to help. No one helped me. So I asked when I would be helped. Said I have to wait an additional 20-30 minutes. I scheduled an appointment but had to wait as if I was a walk in. She quoted me a price of 45 dollars for a color change and one nail fix which confused me seeing in how a fill in is quoted at 50 dollars so the math isn't adding up. My daughter whose 9 and I went to get a manicure and pedicure. After patiently waiting 40 minutes. My daughter wanted two colors pink and purple. Then the nail tech offers to put gel polish on just her finger nails and said "her nails 15 dollars" I get to the counter and she charged me 70 dollars. She charged me 30 dollars for mani and pedi and I only had regular polish that didn't last a week and 10 dollars for eyebrows. Okay, whatever, but to charge my daughter 30 dollars for her nails is absolutely ridiculous. I've been here twice for pedicures with a friend. Both times, the employees were very friendly and did a really thorough job. The salon itself is a little small and nestled in near a pawn shop and some other shops. It doesn't look like much, but it's worth a try. The last time I went, they were close to closing time but they were very friendly and told me that they would love to fit us in, even if they had to stay late. The whole time, both girls held conversations with my friend and me, and they even offered advice on skin care, wedding planning, and life in general. My pedicure is now three weeks old and hasn't chipped at all, even after multiple trips to the lake and over a dozen Crossfit workouts. I am very impressed with the quality of service here. A few years ago I lived very close to this nail shop and gave it a try. I lucked out because it was not only near me but every single time I was happy with the service I received. During that two years I lived in the area, I went roughly every two weeks, so I really got to know Vy (Vee) and she is a down to earth, beautiful person and super professional. This chick stays busy for a reason...she does a fantastic job! I've requested an incredible variation of styles and color combos, some found online and others I would try to explain, and she'd give it a go...each time she was on point! I'm still so impressed and I definitely took her for granted because now I live in Scottsdale and the nail shops here do not compare; most don't even come close. I still try to make it over there when time permits because the drive over is well worth it. I wanted to address some of the negative reviews I found on this shop and say it sounds like they have this place confused with somewhere else. Just a theory as I can't imagine how anyone could have a negative experience here unless they were the problem. A big bonus to the fabulous service you get here is the personal interaction. Usually I'm bored to tears at other places and time just stands still..here however, she's very personable and seems genuinely interested in what you have to say and before you know it, you're good to go. I've gotten pedicures and eyebrow waxing done here and completely satisfied in those as well. I really miss living so close, she's the best nail tech I've ever had, and there have probably been around a hundred if not more.
