UPDATE: Moments after posting this review, Tiffany replied and offered to fix my manicure-I'm assuming she is the other woman I mentioned at the end. Nothing beats speedy resolutions, she certainly cares for her business-something rare now a days. My experience may of been a one off but none the less service is what matters at the end of the day, thank you for reaching out! Lynn is probably the ONLY reason I'd return to this place. I had a few services done in one session, last minute on a random weekend day. I had ruined my nails on my own by improperly removing the gel coat, I prefered to keep them "naked" after they were manicured... That wwe a mistake. Another man took over after Lynn did a good pedi job & my nails were left with remnants of the BLACK gel polish I originally had on and not filed properly so some were square, jagged or rounded. Another young woman seemed to be very accommodating to her clients and also quite personable, a shame theres such an extreme between those that work here. read more

I have never been so confused. I paid $70 for this. I get builder gel and apparently they charge extra for painting them, I have never experienced that before. They removed my last set and "shaped" my natural nails and none of them are the same. Go any where else but here, literally anywhere else. They are so bad and expensive I could cry. read more

I have been coming to Marvel Nails for years and have never had a problem. However I went in for my usual Gel mani/pedi on 8/6/21 and have been suffering in pain since. My left hand ring fingernail and middle fingernail have infected hangnails as well as my right hand little fingernail. The technician that did my manicure was watching videos on her phone at the same time. I don't know if this is why I have three infected hangnails but as I stated in the beginning I have never before had a problem. Not a great experience. He rubbed the sides of my nails to far down it was burning and hurting so bad on two fingers. The polish work was bad. He didn't even clean off the old polish right. Sat under the blue light for too long and was still soft when I left. I was upset. Idk why they have to act rude and act like they don't want to work on your nails when that's their job. No customer service at all. I also asked which one they recommend for nude color. Younger gal told me there should be plenty on the wall. I asked which one, I said I don't see "nude" on any of them. Don't judge a book by the cover would be a great way to describe this place. At first I was kinda throw off by how little and crammed it was. I had my two daughters with me ... they had a kid size pedi chair which was so Cute the girls love it! Very patient with them ! I really wish I could give this place a better rating but after my visit I just can't. Came here about a week ago to get a full set for an event I had. I understood that I came in a little later in the day but they were very welcoming and had me sit at a station while I waited. Well the wait was...long. If y'all are busy please don't take 3 new people with the promise of a 10 minutes wait. Everything started fine my tech was super nice but I'm not 100% sure about his skill. I asked for medium coffin shaped nails, pretty basic? Right? I guess not cause he ended up doing a long box nail. I asked a few times for him to cut and reshape but he never actually did. Now whatever I can always reshape at home, I could've moved past that. Now he started on the polish, with gel you normally have a base coat for protection, not here! I reminded him about 2 nails in and he shrugged saying "oh it will be okay, no chips" He continued to paint and I could see how thin and sticky it was on the grit on my nail. At this point I was just kind of annoyed so I let him finish in silence. I'm here a week later with chunky, bumpy, and chipping nails. Sure the people here are nice and I get why that would make you wanna come back but the skill and care is lacking. Probably won't be back. :/ read more

I went here once for a pedicure as a treat, i normally do my own nails. Everything seemed ok until i saw the tech use a "used" throw away type (cant be disinfected) nail file on my toes. At that point i got very leery and pointed it out. The tech either ignored me or didn't understand me because she just continued. Several weeks later i remove the toe nail polish and find 3+ toes have nail fungus. No one in my house has nail fungus, i disinfect all my clippers and instruments after each use (but had not used them since the pedicure). I'm a fan of dip nails and to find a place that actually takes their time and pays attention to detail is truly perfect. I decided to stop at this location close to my apartment and I've got to say I'm not disappointed. Simple, small and quiet salon, Marvel Nails was perfect. I've gone to Marvel Nails & spa twice. This was my second time, and I really thought I was going to get a better outcome. But I didn't.... My nails came out thick and lumpy. I asked for SNS and the nail tech still put a gel top coat and used a UV light to seal the color. I've been getting SNS for a year now and that's never been done. Why ask for SNS then? This was the worst experiences that I've ever had. I read the reviews prior to making an appointment and one of the things that drew me in was Tiffany responding to complaints kindly and professionally. I asked for a gel color change and for my cuticles to be cut. The nail tech was extremely aggressive with the rotating file and the buffer to the point that one of my fingers have a gash! Two fingers bled but one was worse than the other. When I went to pay I let a guy know what happened and he ignored what I said and repeated the price. After I said "even with what I just told you?" he then told Tiffany. She examined the gash and said that they were doing me a favor by charging $5 instead of $10 for the cuticle "care" and that there's nothing that they could do. I'm so sad and disappointed. I've been here before and they've done great but the last few times I've gone my nails have ended up looking like jelly beans or they crack within a day or two. Also, after removing the dip powder, my natural nails are so thin that they hurt. The lady that does the waxing is very good but today my niece and I went and another lady did it, I believe she is the owner, and she took way too much of my right eyebrow. I will be using much more eyebrow makeup to make up for the loss of hair for a few weeks for sure. And then she burned my niece's eyelid with the wax. We didn't realize the burn until we got home. The lady who did my pedicure seemed to be rushing even though I was the only one in the place , she also cut me a few times. The man who did my acrylics was nice but definitely rushed and rough. I called in ahead to see if they had time for a fill and they said if I came soon it would be fine. I didn't catch the name of my nail tech this afternoon but he did an amazing job. When I walked in he was rocking a baby to sleep. I didn't have an appointment and he barely made me wait! He was a middle aged man and very sweet. One of the reasons I am writing is because I wanted to point out how kind this individual is. A man walked into the shop asking for some money to buy a bus ticket. My nail tech did not hesitate to help this stranger. He got up from his seat and pulled cash out of his wallet to help the man out . He also offered the man a bottle of water. Okay okay okay I think two times is enough for me to gather a decent amount of things to say about this amazing establishment. I have never felt more welcome in a nail salon (except for one my old coworker owns in chandler mall) to where I want to return to not only because of the warm vibes I get but from the amazing work that Tiffany and the rest of her family have done on both mine and my friends nails that I brought with me. The first day I only had time to get my gel nail manicure done and they turned out better than I had hoped. Especially 250% better than the last place I wrote a review on in gilbert. The second day I had wanted to get a pedicure since they have a check In offer (which I hate asking about because you never know what to expect if a business will look at you like you're completely insane or be accepting and understand what is going on) and Tiffany already knew I had checked in so I would get my 10% off of the service. I cannot wait to try their best pedicure package because I literally was ready to doze off when I was getting my feet massaged. Some places focus more on the legs and for me personally I'm not a fan of my tibia being roughly massaged on like I've had in the past. The last pedicure I had at sky nails almost made me want to never get a pedicure again. I've never been in so much pain getting a pedicure before. Thank you Jesus for marvel nails I will never stray! It is absolutely the worst trying to find the perfect nail salon but I will search no further and don't have to go to multiple places for different services. It's so much nicer if you can trust a place to do a good job on both massaging your feet and knowing how to do your nails correctly. I am actually posting this from the salon as I'm getting my nails done. A friendly man named John did my pedicure and it was nice. I've had better, but I've definitely had worse. John also did my gel manicure, however Tiffany was going to apply the design. When I sat down in her chair, she said, "I'm sorry, but these need to come off. He got the color on your skin. If you leave them like this, they will lift within a week. You can stay and we will fix them, or you can come back in a week and I will fix them for free." My friend and I walked in today for pedis and I also had a mani. The staff were very accommodating and got us started right away. The pedicures were amazing! I was really impressed. My feet were pretty swollen from traveling and by the time my tech was done with the treatment and massage, my feet were almost normal again. My manicure was also good. If I could give this place zero stars I would. Came here for my birthday with high hopes because I used to come here before. I regret coming here. I asked for gel toe nails maybe about 4 times and they did regular polish on my toe nails. On top of that the they lady that did the dip powder on my nails made it look like I have huge finger nails which I don't. She just put waaay to much powder and didn't file it off. I had a bridal party of 9 girls, all getting different combinations of manis and pedis and acrylics, etc all coming in to our afternoon appointment at different times (some were arriving from the airport, some were finishing errands) and Marvel Nails and Spa handled every curve so well. I called them the day of our appointment to add pedicures to some of the bridesmaids who requested it, and they adapted with almost no problem. They were the most friendly family I have ever met to run a nail salon. They made sure we were comfortable, handled our rolling schedule, and only one of the nine had a manicure they didn't love, which was promptly re-done by one of the employees. The salon is a little small for a bridal party but the massage chairs are great and you can easily gossip with your bridesmaids due to the layout. If you're looking for a Giang bridal spa, this is not that, but if you're looking for a great value and at great hole-in-the-wall, mom-and-pop salon, you've found your hidden gem. read more

She took her time and seemed very critical about everything she did, and she did an AMAZING job! I'm used to being cut a few times but she didn't cut me once, my nails are perfectly and evenly polished, they are even, have no weird bumps, and are exactly what I was looking for. I used to go to AZ nails and spa and the service there was always horrible never listened to what I wanted and never cared to ask me any questions. If you need a KNIFE, they've got it! I went in to get my acrylics removed and let my natural nails heal. I assumed that they would buff off the polish and let my nails soak in acetone, taking them off the least painful way (probably healthier). Nope... I assumed wrong which kicked me in the ass. One of the guy nail technicians pulled out a knife and scrapped them off one by one. I recently moved into AZ and will NOT be coming back because who knows how else they do nails or other services... Came in for a mani-pedi ($30). Started off with a pedicure. The girl who took care of me (unfortunately I did not get her name) was extremely friendly, and made my toes (which hadn't been done in 5 months) look amazing. I was also impressed that a basic pedicure included a hot stone massage, albeit short. When the girl was finished with my toes, she was pulled away to do some waxing on my friend. The owner (?) came over and was pretty harsh with me. She had me get my manicure at the pedicure chair which was pretty uncomfortable and gave me a noticeable glare when I pulled out my card instead of cash to pay. She rushed my manicure, and left nail polish on my cuticles and around my nail bed. She did get most of it off by going over it with some nail polish remover, but she didn't get all of it. I could have done a better job giving myself a manicure to be honest. Sigh. I wanted to like this place, but honestly I would only go back if the girl who initially took care of me was there AND took care of me the entire time.
