Sadly, my last salon permanently closed their doors and my long time technician and friend retired. So here I am, almost a year later, to get a pedicure. I was a tad hesitant when told the basic pedicure is $35.00, but there was no wait so I went with it. While sitting in the chair I opted for the first upgrade from the basic service, the Deluxe Pedicure for $50. It was quite nice and very relaxing. I almost could have dozed off for a few. The treatment was precise and gentle where required, firm but not rough or aggressive with salt scrub, massaging, or hot rock application. Definitely deserving of more than the suggested 20% tip that pops up on the screen when checking out. And my nails look perfect. Of course the color selection was my touch so of course I love that. Felt good getting a little pampering. I was long overdue. There was little to no conversation, but I was preoccupied with catching up on social media so I wasn't bothered by this. I'm pretty upset, I come here for pedicures and they're good, so I came here to get my wedding nails done, BIG MISTAKE for $100 I expected better! some of my nails look like they're coming off?? And there's clear spots on my French tips, this is after I came back and asked him to fix it because the filing was done so bad it looked like an amateur did them, I had never seen acrylics look so bad before. Went in for a Eyebrow wax. Lady put super hot wax on my eyebrows and burned my eyelid. I winced because it was hot and she asked "too hot?" and I said yeah. Then she started blowing on it but only blew once and put the other wax on the other side of my eyebrow and it was still hot. It wasn't luke warm heat, I checked my eyelid and it has a tiny red spot on it due to extreme heat from the wax. The other side was ok. She did a good job cleaning up the eyebrows. If you ever try it here, just remind the lady doing eyebrows to make sure the wax is cooled/warm and not piping hot. Other than that, good pricing and nice staff. I tipped 25% anyway because she was nice. read more

I recently moved to Chandler and haven't gotten my nails done down here so I decided to treat myself today and popped into Canvas Nails & Spa around 9:30am. I did call before and ask about availability since I didn't make an appointment and they welcomed me in right away. I chose the lavender jelly pedicure. Wendy was my technician and she was simply amazing. This is experience was so relaxing. I got my gel removed and got a new gel polish. The application was perfect and the foot/leg massage was the best part! This pedicure lasted a little over an hour which is hard to come by nowadays and was SO worth it. Omg this place has incredible yelp reviews for a reason. It's got the perfect pink aesthetic while calming lofi happy music. I haven't a pedicure in over a year and it's a requirement living in AZ because of the dry weather. I got the Deluxe pedicure and chose the mango and Mandarin option. I really debated if I should update my review or not but I'm upset and feel like I need to. I've been coming to canvas for awhile and typically like my service. However, today I went with my mom to get my nails done for my wedding (which I told both the people who helped me). The woman who did my pedicure did amazing. She was thorough and friendly. I was happy with her service. I was disappointed, however, with the woman who did my nails. Maybe I don't understand what comes with a full dip set but I felt like I didn't get my money's worth. The woman helping me was very rushed. She didn't do anything with my cuticles or clean up my nails before putting new ones on. My last nail color was black so I have black all in my cuticles and under my nails. You can see it under the new nail color. I also have unfiled areas and had chunks of dip hanging off. When I expressed my frustration they told me I just need to wash my hands a bunch and it will "go away eventually". Which is not what you want to hear 3 days before your wedding and after spending $200 somewhere. I never complain about my nails and it took a lot for me to say anything at all so when it was brushed off it really disappointed me. I won't be back and while I like them for everyday nails I would avoid this place for special occasions. read more

I scheduled an appointment online and treated myself to a gel manicure which I have done many times before. They employees were friendly and the place looked clean. I thought my gel manicure looked too thick and little odd but went on my way. Fast forward two weeks later, and it was impossible to remove. I had literally the best pedicure experience today!! I found Canvas on Yelp and booked online. Super easy process, and they text you to confirm your time is available. The salon itself is very cute and extremely clean. You can tell the staff get along with each other and are happy in their work environment. After I selected my polish, I was led to one of the pedicure chairs. Clients were sitting every other chair, which I appreciated. Tweedy was my nail tech, she was so sweet! She always made sure I was doing okay (I have some ingrowns she has to get, unfortunately). After your nails are groomed, you get a sugar scrub (choice between lavender, green tea, or orange) and choice between a hydrating mask or callus removal. I opted for the green tea scrub and the mask. She applied a warm towel to my lower legs while the mask was setting in and while she painted my toes. After painting my toes, I had a hot stone massage! It was amazing. She also massaged my legs prior to allowing me to let the toes dry. Overall, cost was very reasonable and about what I'd expect to pay at a high-quality salon. I totally appreciated Tweedy's attention to detail and will definitely request her in the future. I can't wait to come back for a mani when my hands are less dry and cracked! read more

This salon was such a disappointment. My sister, mom and I went in for manicures and pedicures. So many disappointments. The lady who did my mom's $80 pedicure did not put on a top coat. Honest mistake maybe but when my mom nicely asked if she could get that the lady snapped at her and said "I did that!!" and tried to argue with her about it. So rude! The lady who did my gel manicure did a half effort job. I had a nail which she did not put top coat on and was all sticky after the rest had cured under the light. When I asked if she could fix it she blamed me and begrudgingly fixed it. It has been 5 days and the gel is already starting to lift and peel. The manicure was nothing more than a nail file and color - no real other services provided. The place is grossly overpriced for bad quality and rude staff. I am very disappointed in my recent experience to your nail salon. When I asked to do design I was told that you guys do not have crystals or confetti or rhinestones. I'm just a little confused on what kind of designs you're supposed to be doing if you can't even do crazy designs like you promote on your website or the pictures inside the salon. I finally decided on a design but it was not what I initially wanted. When I went to go pay I was flabbergasted by the price that she wanted to charge me. Not sure who my tech was today, but I am absolutely obsessed with these nails! My normal salon is closed on Tuesdays so I had to look somewhere else, desperate as my nails were growing too long. After spending a few hours looking on yelp and through reviews, Canvas was a great decision! I wanted to go off of this picture but shorter (for my job) with just the French tips and the snail on the ring finger, and my tech delivered! She did very well and exactly how I wanted. I even informed her my pinky was a bit longer than my other after filing, and she was very sweet about it and quick to correct it. The salon was also very nice, I really enjoyed the pink decor with the roses on the wall, and the tv was playing Beastmaster from Netflix with subtitles. If you care at all about customer service, this is NOT THE PLACE FOR YOU. My first visit started off rocky with a gal name Vicky who did my pedicure. She did the most lackluster job: barely cutting my cuticles, rushing through everything, filing my nails in all different shapes, and then an awful paint job. The nail technician that did my manicure actually did a good job. She really took her time and was great with feedback. So because of her, I decided to give them another shot. The next time I came I asked for Thi and she did a great job with my nails once again. I understand not all techs are equal so thought I could keep going to see her. Fast forward to today when I popped in for another pedicure nightmare. This gal did an okay job until it came to painting. I had a light pink color and she just could not get it right. So she kept wiping it off and starting over though I had voiced I had an appt I had to go to. She did this THREE TIMES. Finally I said please just let me put my sandals on so I could go. She asked me to come back to finish the next day. So when I got to the counter, I asked that I be given a discount because not only did she make me late she also did not finish. He said no. I said really? But she messed up three times. He said, how about you don't pay, and just done come back! My jaw dropped. Not only had I referred two people in the past week, but I really was thinking I found my new nail girl in Thi! I told him of course I wanted to pay, I just felt some compensation should be given for the inconvenience. He said no, that's okay. Just don't come back. I got the dip powder with extensions. I referenced a photo but was not attached to the idea. I wanted nude nails with holographic tips and some star designs. While falling asleep, she started doing tip lines. That was crazy detailed. Then, as she was working on the star designs, I woke up and gasped the moment I saw it. The detail! My nails are small, the stars were immaculate. Microscopic maybe. Idk how she can see that. I think she used the skinniest brush with 2 hairs something like that. It was amazing!
