I was recommended Thanh, a male barber at this salon, by my cousin who's been a loyal customer of…read morehis for YEARS! She texted him personally to make a Saturday afternoon appointment for me and sent pictures of the wolf-cut I desired. I arrived on time for my 2pm appointment and was greeted by Thanh and seated immediately. I showed him the pictures again. Then he asked me if I wanted to shampoo my hair, which I agreed to. Then we got straight to work. At the end of my cut, he made sure I liked the result, to which I asked for my bangs a bit shorted and he readily obliged. I paid $45 (excluding an additional tip) in cash, but I didn't inquire further if they also accept card or if there's an additional fee for paying by card. I looked around the salon for a menu of costs of services, which he said there wasn't one. No problem, I plan on coming back for haircuts only anyway which I know are $45! Otherwise, I'll text him personally asking for other services if I want them! All in all, I was in and out the door at 2:00 and 2:30 respectively, literally (I looked at the clock). I was so happy with my haircut, especially for the price AND quick in/out time. Thank you Thanh for your amazing work!!!

Honestly very disappointed in my haircut. I was initially enticed by the $45 price but it felt…read moreextremely rushed, mediocre, and hardly like the inspo photos I showed the stylist. I would rather go a salon that actually cares about their customer service and attention to detail at a higher cost - you're getting what you pay for, if not less. Firstly, my stylist was on her phone for a full 4 minutes in the middle of my 18-minute (fast? or rushed?) haircut without explanation; I would be more understanding if I were given a heads up about a personal emergency or something, but to simply step away from your client and text nonstop at the front desk without saying anything, is unacceptable. Secondly, I've never been to a salon where my hair was not washed prior to it being cut; until I came here. My hair was not even styled at the end (see photo of when I got home right after my appointment). Thirdly, it's the bare minimum to ask your customer if they like their haircut, or smile at the end. When I was paying at the front desk kiosk, my stylist went straight back to texting with the click clack of her fake nails on the phone screen. I stood at the desk for a good minute or so after payment was completed before she looked up, and quickly said "bye thank you". There were no other customers in the store except for the nail artist and her client in the shared salon space. I would NOT recommend this salon to any of my friends and advise you to get your haircut elsewhere if you care about professional service and a good haircut.

My hair is a bit difficult and time consuming to work with: it's thick in both the hair strands and the amount I have. It's recommended to make an appointment with MJ ahead of time. If you're looking for a specific style, I also suggest you message her first with pictures of what you would like, so she can prepare and work with you. They mentioned it was an additional $15 for the gel on top of the $30 basic pedicure service. I asked for a lighter chrome nail (reference photo attached). My friend asked for a sparkly pink. Throughout our service, I noticed how our techs had different ways of servicing us. My friend's tech seemed to be a little more detailed and meticulous with her service. My tech seemed to rush through her process. She appeared annoyed when I asked for a specific chrome color on top of the gel. Two people mentioned how it was gonna be additional $15 just for the chrome. I told them the price was okay but they kept asking me for reassurance. Then they proceeded to mention how my toes were too short for the powder. But again, I was still charged the whole additional $15 for the chrome powder anyways. I showed my tech my reference photo at least 3 times throughout my service. To make sure our visions were aligned. When she finally put the chrome powder on my toes, she applied it with her bare fingers. Which I felt was unsanitary and left my toes streaky. After the powder was applied, I assume she was going to wipe/rinse off the powder. But she only used her finger and a brush to do so. The photo of my results was after I got my own wipes to clean them up. When I tried to clean my cuticle, the gel ended up peeling. I've left photos of both my reference photo and results. Overall I paid a total of $60 for my gel pedicure + chrome powder, and another $45 for my friend's gel pedicure. I really tried to be optimistic during my service. However, I did leave disappointed. I've been to this place before and never had an experience like this one.
