They took no accountability for what they did to my face and claimed that everything looked normal. A good deal is not worth looking like this. Lesson learned. STAY AWAY My dermatologist was appalled and said that this is NOT normal for IPL!

We were taken back to the treatment room on time & the nurse did the series of pretty painless injections with little to no bruising. RN injector seemed slightly flustered but was still professional & did a nice job. My friend has been quite happy with the results & plans to return for more stuff. Too bad it's quite a drive from Tucson, but still totally worth it. No problems redeeming or scheduling & it made for a fun gift. Will be sure to buy some treatments for me next time!

It seems this is something they are doing frequently based off other reviews. This raises serious concerns about their business practices, they are redeeming vouchers prematurely and collecting payment without providing the corresponding treatments. Additionally, I have been unable to reach anyone by phone to address this issue. I will reverse the charge and report to Groupon. Overall, this has been a very disappointing experience, and I would advise others to proceed with caution.

I left work two hours early and drove 35 miles in 4:00 p.m. traffic to get to my photofacial appointment. When I arrived, she had me start filling out the paperwork. 5 minutes into it she sat in front of me and said she was having a major personal issue and wondered if we could just do the consultation and I could come back the next day for the treatment. Considering I heard the consultation takes about a half hour and the treatment only takes 5-10 minutes, I didn't quite get it, why just try to reschedule the quick part and considering the personal issue began the day before, why didn't she just call me earlier in the day to reschedule? I also did not want to do another 70 mile roundtrip drive for 5-10 minutes, and told her so. So she called someone and asked them to pick up someone for her (I'm assuming a kid), and said she would be done at 5:45. So I continue with my paperwork. A few minutes later, she pulls out my sister's file and is looking at it, and then says she has two types of attachments. She says one is much too strong for Asian skin and the other went to the shop and was supposed to have been back 4 days ago; she's really not comfortable using the stronger attachment on me, so can I just reschedule and come back for the treatment at a later date? Or I could just call Groupon and get a refund. I said a refund is one thing but what about the time off from work and the drive? I was frustrated. As I sat there thinking, she kept making comments that it was for my own protection, she didn't know what I had to think about. I said why didn't you call me to reschedule? She said she didn't know I was Asian and couldn't just call everyone to check. I said you obviously just don't want to do the treatment today. She went off on a tirade about how she couldn't believe I was being so insensitive, that she understands the drive is an inconvenience, but it's really not a big deal in light of her major personal crisis. I was pretty much stone-faced by that time and knew there was no way I was coming back. I actually have no idea what was really going on. My name is not Jane or Ashley or anything typically Caucasian. Even had she brought up the attachment issue immediately, I would have had no choice but to reschedule. But then why start with the major personal crisis issue? One that sounded like if it was one, then it began the day before. Why didn't she just call to cancel the appointment altogether? And why just try to reschedule the treatment portion which takes very little time? And why, for an appointment that had been scheduled over a month earlier did she have to call someone to ask them to pick up someone for her. The whole thing left me extremely frustrated. Especially as I left for the long drive home in 5:30 traffic. And by the way, my sister also purchased the Groupon and had completed her two treatments. On the first one, the person used too strong a setting and burned my sister's face. She's very forgiving of mistakes like that (crazy, it's her face and can cause permanent damage!), and went back for her second treatment. They tried fraxel. One, they are obviously not experienced with Asian skin. Two, I don't think it actually worked. I was going to try it because my skin is not that bad. I'm going to chalk up the whole experience to being a sign that I should not get photo facials. BTW, Groupon was great about giving the refund!

During the consultation I was of course asked for my medical history which I provided I let them know I had fibromyalgia at that time. (it is not the owner or the manager in the room with you during the initial consultation, so they are not fully aware of the information provided) I also opened an account through cherry which is a financial institution The Glow Method is affiliated with in order to pay for the procedure per their options. I scheduled my procedure for about 4 months in advance. I made several on time payments as directed. At my Pre-Op appointment I went in and discussed the procedure with Eliza and she advised me against the procedure due to my Fibromyalgia and how much it would hurt, which I was very grateful that she let me know at the time. (When I mentioned this to the manager later on, she brushed it off and stated she wasn't aware that this was the reason for my cancellation ) So I asked Eliza if I could cancel and get a refund for what I've paid into the procedure and she said it would be no problem. Well.. it was a problem. The Glow Method ended up refunding Cherry only a partial payment and they kept the rest around $1500. After several weeks of going in circles with Amber the manager, I was basically told nothing could be done to refund anything else as the Cherry account was closed and they were keeping the deposit of 20% of the total $7,500 which I was not informed about in any consultation (read the fine print ladies) Amber kept having me track her down to figure out what was going on which was incredibly frustrating. She just kept saying she's working on it... If she knew they were keeping the money, then why have me go in circles trying to contact them to follow up? The "transparency" they claim to have was not coming through. I guess the company must be in dire need in order to keep that much money for absolutely no services provided. At one point Amber even mocked and said, "well what do you want me to do give you a check? we don't have checks here at the office haha." This happened to a friend of mine a few years back where they also kept her $2000 cash and wouldn't refund it and that was not 20% of her total. (I had hoped I wouldn't go through the same thing I guess) So if you plan on getting a procedure of this magnitude keep in mind that you will lose any money you have paid into the procedure if you need to cancel, even if you were advised to do so.... This was an incredibly expensive "consultation" I guess I donated to a poor pathetic cause. Ladies there are so many other places to receive these types of services. Don't risk this amount of money on a company that responds in this manner when something comes up.. especially a medical reason. You just never know what can happen by the time your procedure arrives and you may need to cancel, you don't want to lose that much money.

I attended this esthetics school and it was one of the worst experiences I've had. The teachers were not helpful, and I hardly learned anything during my time there. The school is extremely disorganized, and don't even count on trying to get them to answer the phone to speak with someone to solve your problems, they never do. A big warning if you're thinking about the laser program: do not sign up for it until after you've started the esthetics program. In my experience, they enrolled me in a dual program without me knowing, and when I wanted to drop laser but stay in esthetics, it became a huge fight and this happened to many others. When I first enrolled in the school, they EMPHASIZED that I was able to drop the laser program at any point during my program, well this was a lie. They still make you pay a portion of the laser program, and dropping it took constant follow ups because administration would not respond. It felt like they were trying to pressure students into staying in the laser program. I've also heard the laser program itself is not worth it, and you would be better off at another school for a shorter amount of time. Administration was a mess from start to finish, whether it was payments, signing up for state boards, or anything else. Getting a straight answer was nearly impossible. Students were finally signed up for state boards months after graduating. Overall, it was a waste of my time and money. Please do your research and consider other schools before enrolling.
