Deciding to post an update of my toe three days after. Even though I was cleaning my wounds with peroxide every hour and putting Neosporin, I still had to take oral antibiotics for five days to prevent spreading an infection. It's come to my attention that the owner has commented shaming me for my review but I am not ashamed as her work is a literal health hazard. However, she blocked me on yelp so I have no way of responding to her ignorant comment. As you can see the cuticle was cut in ten different directions I don't even know how it happened. It has now been three weeks and my infection is mostly gone but the skin has grown back extremely tough. Grateful I did not lose my toe nail. The reason the paint is chipped in this recent picture is because she also applied Neosporin before I left because she knew she messed up (hence that removed some of the polish/not letting it dry). read more

I am in soo much pain and will be scared because of this bad threading. My skin is not sensitive this is my 6th year doing threading and I've never experienced any kind of irritation. read more

I paid 90 something dollars for acrylic nails with a chrome French tip. I later realized that the French tip was not straight at all and the lady never put a base color to go under my chrome so it just looked like see through glitter. I had a couple dents in my nails as well. Later that same day it already started chipping. I then went back because I wasn't going to pay that much for what had happened. I had a different lady and she did a great job but the next day it started chipping and two nails have already fallen off and it's been less then a week. I didn't call back this time because I live 30 mins from them and cannot afford to keep going back but am really pissed I payed 90 plus for this to happen. read more

Initially I would have given a 4 star for this nail salon - really my only downside would have been the general cleanliness of the place and the towels used which were pretty rough condition. Also I would like to highlight that all the professionals I saw were extremely polite and careful. They always wanted to make sure I liked the results of everything I was doing - which I really did while I was there. So that makes me really sad in a way to have to give this 3 stars review. Before I go on to what were my disappointments, I would like to say that I really liked my pedicure and the lady that did it was always very gentle, not rushing to get it done soon. Also did thread on my upper lip with another lady and also super nice visit and result - definitely recommend her work. What brings me to give the not so great review is that one day after having my manicure done with gel polish I noticed some bubbles on a couple of nails and thought it was weird. Then 2 days after I noticed that the gel polish was lifting from several nails (see picture) Never had that happen before. So honestly I don't know the reason why that happened. Maybe old polish? Maybe I left my nails for a shorter period of time in the light machine - which that crossed my mind while I was doing my nails there. Anyways... that made me very frustrated bc Gel polish usually last for at least one week and a half every time I get it done. No one wants to spend $60+ for nails that won't last for not even one day intact. :( I really wish I had had a better result at this place bc I just liked their vibe and friendliness. With Covid going on they are so clean and professional but still make you feel comfortable. I walk in and I'm greeted by name at the front and everyone else there greeting you when they walk by you or see you. The owner Gege is the best!! Wow what a terrible place. I have never experienced anything like this. I walked in there were only two other customers and it looked like 3 employees watching their phone in a corner. Not one person acknowledged me. I waited and at one moment one of the employees who was in the huddle pointed at me and they all looked over and continued to look at their phone. I'm so excited I found GG and all the phenomenal nail techs and eyebrow threading at nails paradise. I am loyal to a fault and usually go to my regular places but recently wasn't loving the drive to my usual place and the difficulty in getting an appointment since my schedule isn't always so set in stone. I was able to make an appointment online (perk for me as I'm usually always working on my laptop and making a phone call honestly takes so much out of me), for a hard gel fill, gel pedi, and eyebrow threading within 2 days of the date I needed, all back to back. When I got there, I was early but greeted promptly and started on right on time. They were busy but their scheduling was working like clockwork, to the point that I got out of there 45 minutes before I anticipated. They didn't make me wait for my appointment times and took care of me as they could and I LOVE that. I know we're all crazy busy so anytime any establishment works hard to make sure I'm out of there sooner than I need to be, is immensely appreciated. I also love the friendliness of the staff, the professionalism, and of course the cleanliness of the salon and all covid precautions they're taking. I'm in the medical field so I'm a stickler for sanitation and they definitely met all my stringent criteria of hygiene. My nails look phenomenal, my pedi is fantastic, and my eyebrows are perfect. Gege does my dip powder manicure and she always makes sure to satisfy the exact way I like them shaped and cured. If I'm not 100% satisfied with the job, she will make sure to fix them the way I like them before I leave. As I was doing my nails one day, Gege noticed the breakouts on my skin and recommended that I try a facial with Astine. I cannot stress how happy I am for giving it a try! My skin has never looked this good in over a decade - yes, a decade, no exaggeration. Updated review after management has changed: I will start off by saying Gigi is GREAT! However, *SCREAM*...the gel manicure I received was bulky and uneven. Thankfully, Gigi stepped in and filed a lot of the applied gel polish down. What made this bad situation worse was the receptionist. Instead of trying to resolve the nail situation like Gigi did, she insisted that the thick unevenly applied gel polish was the result of my asking. Instead of coming up with any sort of resolution or rather just keeping quiet, she proceeds by asking me if she can now charge my card. I understand that they need to be paid and I was never planning on leaving without paying, but when you see a customer is extremely unhappy and trying to get the issue resolved, you wait until it's fixed before you ask for payment as I am still sitting in my seat getting my nails worked on. I want to add that I was there three weeks ago for the first time since management had changed and was assisted by Araz. She was absolutely amazing but unfortunately completely booked for today. I'm honestly confused why this place has this 4.5 stars. The pictures looked great. The salon I thought would look nice. It's odd to me that anyone even enjoys the customer service. Today was my first visit along with my mom and sister. All business greet you when you walk in, this was not the case. It already felt awkward and it was a pain to have to ask what needed to be done to choose our colors instead of saying, gel colors are in this book, etc. A few points for sitting us all 3 down at the same time and next to each other. Let's begin with the water being too hot and I did ask to cool it down. The best was when she was about to start painting my nails and I noticed chunks of my nails weren't cut off. Then, my nails were all uneven, not filed squares and similar. Second, adding alcohol to nail polish to thin it and continue using it because you know it's empty, just grab a new one like all normal salons do!!! Second, the nail polish on my nail is basically in different layers. Literally my toes left the salon looking crusty instead of nicely done for a pair of heels. Two stars do out to Armine. She was wonderful. I only came to this salon because my go to salon does not offer the apres gel x or hard gel nails. My nails usually grow long and strong and look like acrylics when I get a regular gel mani. This time around, my nails had broken so I decided to do the gel mani because I heard it was healthier for the nail bed and would allow for growth. She confirmed this information. She took her time, ensuring each nail fit. She knew that it was difficult to do it in a spa chair and opted to move me to the nail bar/table to ensure an adequate job was done. She filed them down so they look natural. She noticed one nail was not good and I noticed it wasn't glued right, I didn't even have to say anything, she was like I don't like this nail, she took the time to remove and replace and continue on. The gel nail polish was smooth and no bubbles in my nails. I appreciate that she took the time to clean my cuticles. If you want to come to this salon and do gel x, come to her, she is knowledgeable and artistic/detailed in her work. The two stars for this salon are because of my experience with her. I would not visit this salon again, it wasn't worth it unfortunately. I don't appreciate being fooled by stars and reviews. Next time, I'll ignore the semi cute nail salon on my way home. read more

Got my nails done here for the first time and I'm beyond happy! They give hot stone massage for pedicures and have back massage chairs while getting them done. Eric did such a great job with the massage and pedicure and Dina did an amazing job with my gel nails! She is super detail oriented. Super clean salon and nice view outside on Glenoaks! Definitely my new go to spot to get my nails done. Best part??? They have parking right in the front, in the back AND underground. It's always impossible to find parking at the other nail salons in Glendale. Highly recommended and definitely coming back! read more

I hate to do this because I genuinely liked this nail store but today's experience makes me wish I could give NEGATIVE stars! I had my acrylic nails removed and because it was the first time I had acrylics in over 6 months my nails were very healthy prior, I wasn't doing gel or anything to weaken my nails prior. I thought it would be a good idea to have my acrylics soaked off and trusted this place to leave my nails in relatively good condition but tell me why as I am typing this my nails HURT!!!! She drilled my nails down so much removing the acrylic and usually it's a pretty long process to soak off acrylics. When I told Gege I told her the nail tech aliza must have been in a rush because she tried removing them so quickly and shaved it down so much that my nails were raw, red, one is split, and the rest have ridges from how much she shaved them down. Honestly I don't even care about how it looks but it literally just hurts so bad. I will never ever step foot in here again. Absolutely awful. Also I'm leaving this as a side note and I don't take this lightly but I usually am pretty put together... since I just came back from vacation I had my hair braided and colorful which is a literally crazy looking outside of the resort in Mexico so I don't know if they thought I was some random trashy girl or what and that's why they didn't care to do a proper job... but I will say that I've noticed you will be judged on looks... again I really hate to say that but seems like a funny coincidence that certain types of people are treated differently here. My fiancé (male) got a pedicure and asked the lady to do callus remover, and she did that in addition to a few other things he DID NOT ask for. Then when we got to the register to pay, they tell me his was $45. $45 for a basic mani and pedi w/ callus remover???? This is straight robbery! I just moved to Glendale from West Covina, I lived in Lakewood before that, and no matter what nail salon I went to, its NEVER cost that much for any of those services. It's $3 for French manicure, $7-$8 for eyebrow waxing and for a man to get a mani/pedi w/callus remover it's $25. I repeat, robbery! I will not be going back here. I have so many things to be upset about. I made an appointment online for the service titled pink and white a full set Under the category of nail enhancements where all of the other acrylic nail services are offered. The listed price was $60. As I am coming back to review their website, it is clear that they have added a service clarifying set an acrylic full set in ombre is $70. The service was not listed when I made my appointment, a major hint is that every other entry in this category is capitalized except for that one. regardless, I booked my appointment for 11 o'clock to pay $60 for pink and white full set of acrylics. Upon arrival I am informed that they are running 15 minutes behind. My start time is continually pushed and I am finally seen 48 minutes later. When we getting my manicure, my nail tech asked to see your reference photo which I appreciated until she informed me that for the links I asked for (medium, nothing crazy) my service wouldn't instead cost $80. $20 more than the original price, and $10 more expensive still than their amended price. I informed my nail tech that that is not the price listed for the service that I reserved online, pulling up the website to show her and asking which service instead I was meant to book because there was nothing else that fell under that description. She basically said it is what it is, and your service will cost $80. I had a wedding to be at in three hours and had no time or resources to make another immediate appointment elsewhere. So we proceed with the manicure, which I will admit turned out beautifully. My nail tech had 2 inch long stiletto nails which meant that her services took much longer than necessary, a significant amount of time was spent fumbling around picking up the acrylics to glue on my finger. I did not have a similar experience to many other reviewer's regarding having my cuticles bleed however I was burned with the dremel and my nail tech offered no apology simply a look of irritation that I moved my hands. she finally finished my manicure at about 1:40. That means my manicure took an hour and 57 minutes. Both traditional pink and white and ombre polishing services on their website are quoted as taking one hour. I missed the hair and make up portion for the bridal party which led to disappointing photos of the bridal party (we didnt match) and a waste of my sister-in-law's money. At the end of the manicure, my nail technician began posing my hands and taking photos without my consent. All in all, The competent manicure does not make up for the poor customer service. had I not been charged $20 I would've had funds left to leave a tip, but now I feel like even if I did want to go and give this place another try, I will be slighted for being that jerk who did not tip. TLDR: they took my appointment 48 minutes late, charged me $20 more than the advertised price took my photo without consent (it was just my hands but it's still weird not to ask) read more

I will say that this salon is very pretty and clean and I like the owner GG a lot. Unfortunately there is no way she can take care of every client. Loni destroyed my nails while doing my manicure yesterday. The amount of filing and acetone was absurd. With three coats of gel on I have had 3 of my fingernails bend in half backwards today. It is not only SO painful, but she has destroyed my beautiful, healthy, natural nails. This place was great PRE Covid-19. Sooo many of their amazing technicians and staff left due to the closures causing them to hire new people who are just NOT the same. I made a reservation 3 days ago with a specific nail tech and came excited to get my nails done for my Bachelorette. First they try having me sit with someone new. I explained I had requested someone else which they responded with their system didn't show it. So I pull out my online confirmation to prove otherwise. After some insincere apologizing they insist the person I requested can't do it due to double booking unless I wait an hour! Defeating the purpose of making a reservation in the first place. I've been a consistent customer of Nails Paradise for about a year now. They NEVER let me down! Gege, the salon's owner is full of knowledge on all things nails. This salon introduced me to rubber base gel manicures, I will never go back to regular gel. Nara is my go to for manis, but all of the staff is incredible. I've been bringing my grandmother with me for the last couple visits and they are so patient with her, it also is very helpful that most all the staff is fluent in Armenian. Wait times are minimal (always make an appointment- they're on the Fresha app which makes it very convenient to schedule), service is quick and efficient, there is parking in the back and street parking in the front. The front desk receptionist is incredibly kind and accommodating as well. I couldn't recommend this place more! read more

The girl who did my pedicure, she did a good job but the downside was that my toe is now infected. I dont know if it was the tools that wasn't clean or that they don't clean the bowl you put your feet in. I've really never had to deal with this type of situation from any salon i've been to, and i've been to A LOT of salons. If it wasn't for my infected toe, I wouldn't be giving them a 2 star rating. I am soooooo happy with my service today. I showed my manicurist (maybe Ana??) a picture of what I was looking for. She was very friendly and accommodating asking us if we wanted anything to drink the entire time. She really took care in shaping my acrylics and you can tell she takes pride in her work. I went in for a full set and a gel polish. I thought I read it was $35 for a set and $15 for a polish but it came out to $60? I can look past that because of the amount of time she put into my nails and how kind she was and how satisfied I was with the finished product.
