What the actual eff. This is probably one of the worst nail experiences I've ever had in my life and I don't go much. Right before I'm flying out to LA I decided my sister and I should go get our nails done as a sisterly bonding day. Uh big mistake. First I come in and sit down no biggie. Then we're going over the classic mani pedi combo or the deluxe. I honestly didn't know what Joanne was saying but I decided on the classic mani and pedi after a good 3 minutes of trying to decide. Lien the guy next to her laughs at me and starts talking in Vietnamese. Which cool I get it. I'd want to talk in my native language too. That wasn't the problem. The problem was that he deliberately pointed at me and was incredibly obvious with it. I've never felt so stupid and disrespected in my life. Whatever, I get past it. I ask for a dip nail on my big toe because I stubbed my toe and it broke off really low. She starts doing it and doesn't even ask me what shape I want and doesn't even look at my other toe to match it. She just goes in. It looks like a fat box. It doesn't match at all. I'm now going to have to get home tomorrow and spend the day filing it down because this woman who does nails all the time can't even do a simple thing like matching the shape of the other nails or at least attempt to. Btw the cutting cuticle thing is true. They cut too deep so when she sprayed my toes with alcohol it burned so badly I made her wipe my feet with a damp clothe. Which on my mani. Same thing. I didn't even ask for a color. I'm a server. I just wanted a strong top coat and my cuticles done with my nails filed. None of my cuticles are done and my nails are all uneven. Not one looks the same. Plus my hands are rough. Joanne didn't take the time to pay attention to my nails at all or even ask me what shape I wanted because she gave me a nasty square in the first place. Now for the icing on the cake. Lien, the chubby guy with a really bad barb tattoo on his arm got done with his client he just stood up and kept talking loudly, he didn't assist anyone with their manicures which I believe I wasn't the only one waiting for one. He then proceeded to sit down and stay on his phone the whole time. Even when the phone was ringing off the hook so if you can't reach them. That's probably why. It was annoying and disruptive and if you're clocked in, pick up the phone. Not just for the guests in your establishment but also for potential guests! Anyways, I'll let the nails speak for themselves. My sister's weren't much better either and she'll be leaving a review as well. We won't be coming back and I highly recommend you stay away from this place. If they care so little about their guests request they probably don't care much for their sanitation either. Wait, I'm supposed to get a complimentary drink??? There was no offer. I'm dying. This place is a joke. read more

Extremely unsatisfied with my $70 toenails. I got acrylic nails with regular polish painted and they are a complete mess with smudges and uneven sides and on the other side of the tips are just a disaster. The nail technician made me bleed on my big toe and second toe and I still have blood lines on my cuticle from it. The pedicure lasted 5 minutes with barely any massage and I felt extremely rushed and not respected at all. read more

First time coming here and I made it clear I only wanted a simple manicure for my 12 YO daughter. They acted like they didn't know what that was. She wanted tiny "confetti" colors on her nails and they charged an extra $10 for that?!?! Crazy!! It feels like they just arbitrarily charge whatever they want then conveniently don't speak English when you ask questions. No prices are posted any where. Make sure you know what you're paying for, I left feeling cheated. I won't be returning. read more

My first visit left a good impression and that is the ONLY reason I will give this place 2 stars. I have been going to nail spas for about 20 years and I have never been neglected or butchered like I have been today. I was also cut so badly they could not make it stop bleeding. It took about 45 minutes for me to get it to stop. I was left for over 15 minutes in the middle of my pedicure for my person to work on not only one other client, but 2!!! How rude!!! I was so mad when I left. I also upgrade to a deluxe pedi ($12 more) for some hot stones to burn my legs and a 2 minute neck massage that hurt. This was a waste of money. read more

This is a very nice nail salon with nice techs. Although I was left in the pedicure chair for 15+ mins, it didn't bother me too much since I didn't make an appointment. Anthony did a great job with my manicure and pedicure. He was incredibly gentle and I didn't get any cuts! The shape was perfect and even, I highly recommend him!! First time visiting this location. I picked a colour for my manicure that I thought would look good (it turned out to be super see through). After the manicure was over, I expressed concern about thcolour and the tech told me that next time, I should pick a less see-through colour. She continued to tell me it looked good when it obviously didn't. From a customer service point of view, I wish I was offered solutions to make my nails look more presentable. I wasn't expecting the tech to remove the colour but maybe another coat or glitter on the tips would have easily solved the issue. I am super disappointed - my nails look like I did them myself! UPDATE: the nail salons reached out to me and offered to fix my nails for me at no extra charge HOWEVER my nails were not completely dried and now I have bumpy nails. I Paid for a shellac manicure for my daughter 1 week ago- her nail polish started peeling so I told her to go in today to get it fixed they instead convinced her that she needed another full manicure I asked them how long it normally lasts and they said 2-3 weeks and they had to take it all off and I had pay for another manicure instead of fixing it - this was not right considering she goes in all the time as do I and I am aware this manicure should last more than a week - they followed this by charging us to soak her polish off - we will be finding another salon since I am now aware that it's not about customer service here but about making more money - I was prepared to pay for them to fix her nails had they said that is what needed to happen but another 50 bucks after 1 week is a little ridiculous on top of 10 bucks to soak it off - we will not be returning to this location read more

I have been eyeing Nails of America ever since I moved to the Harmony area a couple of months ago and, today I decided to go ahead and give them a try. Well when I first walk the first this I noticed was how elegant and beautiful the place was and how nice the staff was upon greeting. I had went in for a pedicure and eyebrow and I was sat down right away the place was pretty empty considering it has close to if not over 25 chairs for pedicures. My pedicure started of ok not great but ok the water was a little cold and she did fix that for me so That was nice right away. I took a mental note that she was a little gentle doing the cuticle work on my toenails not a real bad thing. I was thinking to myself okay she gentle on the toes so the massage will be gentle too and oh boy was I wrong! She went hard on my legs as if they were chicken breast and her hands were meat tenderizers! Like she was a cat needing a post to claw at and my legs were her post. There was not one thing gentle about here massage process compared to the cuticle process just like the Katy Perry song you're hot than you're cold, you're yes then you're no! On top of that had purchased the package that had a 5 min shoulder massage that one wasn't to bad still a little rough but not like a meat tenderizer the only thing was it did not last five minutes only about 45 seconds to a minute so it was very short. I was just very shocked on how elegant the place looks but, you ended up getting treated like you're in a butcher shop and you were the steak. read more

I was extremely dissatisfied today with the level of service. I walked in earlier today and was seated right away which was impressive. However, I was left in my chair for 35 mins without anyone coming to say hello, offer a drink, or let me know how long it would be before someone was available. The employees were walking back and forth in front of me but no one had a care in the world that I was just sitting there. I found this to be extremely rude and disrespectful of my time. PLEASE READ. Me & my mother have been going to the chain Nails of America for years. We LOVED nails of America in kingwood and recently moved by grand-park way a year ago. My mother goes every two weeks to get both manicure and pedicure and I come when home from college. The past two times I have came, my nails have turned a brown color within the first two days. This time I knew it wasn't my fault as my friends got theres done with me and the same happened to them. We went back to the salon and explained everything just asking them to fix the brown. The workers were absolutely rude, speaking badly of us and accusing us of doing this to them and wouldn't take the blame. They said it was caused from spray tans but I never in my life have got a spray tan so it definitely wasn't that. We were super nice not frustrated at all, and were treated with extreme disrespect. Me nor my mother, nor any of my friends or neighbors who go here will be coming back. The picture is them after "fixed" and the brown color before. I will now be going to the nail place across the street tomorrow to have them fix them. read more

She took her time and wasn't impatient or in a hurry to leave. I will definitely return here! Horrible experience!! The girl at the front has absolutely no idea what's going on and handed me a few samples saying they were for dip. I asked again to make sure the colors I wanted were for dip just to make sure. Then when I sat down and had gotten started the nail tech I had AND the nail tech next to me were both reassuring me that it would change into the color I had asked for. It didn't. The woman doing my nails seemed to be concentrated on everything else going on in the place instead of me, she got up about 15 times. I am very unhappy with this experience. Beautiful nail salon with friendly employees, but this was the worst nail job I've had in my life. One lady (perhaps she was a manager- prepping my nails for the nail technician who was ultimately going to be working on me) filed the skin roughly on the tops of my fingers near my cuticles (ouch!- she didn't realize it, I guess, until I kept pulling away). Then, when the nail technician was ready to take over, she put these fingers that were scraped up in foil-wrapped acetone (owwww!!!- again) to remove the old acrylic from my nails. At some point, she accidentally pulled one nail away from my fingernail bed with a small tool she was using. That hurt like crazy, too. Then, as I was checking out, I noticed some shellac on the pad of one of my fingers- so I tried to peel it off. When it didn't come off, I walked back to the technician to ask if she could remove it (thinking she could use some nail polish remover real quick). Instead, she used little cutters and tried to carefully CUT the shellac off my finger! Of course, it was impossible not to cut my skin. The cuts must've been tiny because they weren't visible- so she used a cotton ball with remover or acetone to clean up the tiny bits she wasn't able to cut off. Oh my word, that stung!!! As soon as I got home, I had to put a bandaid over that area where the skin was broken because it was still stinging. The paint job (shellac) wasn't bad. But all in all, it was truly a disastrous experience. I didn't complain because the technician was actually sweet and wasn't intentionally trying to hurt me over and over. Perhaps she needs a lot more practice! I gave this nail salon 2 stars instead of 1 because the receptionist guy was very friendly, nice, and welcoming. And, the salon was super clean (very new). Absolutely will not be returning to this Nails of America location. read more

Let me start off by saying half the staff speaks very broken English... that being said I had to express what I wanted multiple time. I came in for a mani/regular pedicure with shellac. I told pedicurist that my big toes had acrylic powder and shellac and the rest of my toes were shellac. I've gotten a pedicure many times in my life and everywhere I've gone has always taken off my shellac with nail polish remover, cotton balls, and tinfoil. This pedicurist decided that she was just going to file off all the shellac on my toes which thinned out my toenails completely. Then she disregarded that I had acrylic powder on my big toes and when I asked her to cut my big toes she cut it with the acrylic still on, which broke my natural nail that was underneath. At this point I just wanted to finish my manicure and not have my feet touched AT ALL. The lady started to then pick up my foot and kept filing. Very unprofessional. The salon it's self is very nice and clean. Many colors of dip and shellac to choose from, but I will never be back. read more

The first time I came here, Lucky did my dip manicure and yesterday, Jack did it. They both did a great job and I have had multiple people ask where I got my nails done. They were both very nice too! My husband got a pedicure yesterday and he almost fell asleep haha. They also didn't over charge for men's pedicures, so that was refreshing. They give you free sodas and I saw one lady had a mimosa. I believe those are free too. I just moved here and have been looking for a new salon, so this was great to find :) read more
