It's OK if you want to quick fix but I was in and out with a pedicure in 30 min. However they are the cheapest $20 for a pedicure. So so job. We will see how it holds up Didn't seem like she really wanted to do a pedicure for someone. And then the massage chairs are the most uncomfortable ones I have ever sat in. The ladies were nice and friendly. Which is a plus. I don't think I would go back again because it doesn't seem like they clean their stuff too well either I just put some alcohol on the utensils but they didn't seem like they really sterilize them. Duck off nail salon. I went in two hours before closing and got in with no problem being that one client and myself was the only ones in the salon. I had a bad experience with Queen nails spa that same day, so I decided to come here. The nice lady who was doing my nails ensured me she knew how to do ombré, but I could tell she did not because she would ask after every application to my nails if it was "okay". The guy, who I assume is her husband kept standing over her and speaking in a language I couldn't comprehend. It kind of threw me off because at this point I was the only guest in the salon. I asked for coffin and Stiletto, instead I received somewhat square and almond shape nails. When it comes to my pedicure my toe polish came off within the next 3 days... my nails are easily coming off and they haven't pushed up yet, and I paid for rhinestones to be put on the nail. The rhinestones didn't last a night. They used fans to dry the acrylic on the hands and they make your desired shape by using nails clippers, which could be the reason why my shapes are off. She didn't even measure to see if my nails on both hands were the same length lol. She clipped and kept going, but my eyebrow waxing was okay and I did give her a tip because she tried... I WOULDN'T RECOMMEND GOING HERE FOR QUALITY RESULTS. read more

Visited Y&B Nails today and it was the best nail salon experience I've had since moving to Houston a year ago. I work in the downtown area and have tried a few nail places around there, but all have been overpriced for the quality of service. The ladies at Y&B were really sweet and not pushy at all. I got a deluxe spa pedicure which included a paraffin wax treatment that left my feet skin really soft! During the session I actually received a relaxing massage, unlike the pricier 'day spas' I've been to who advertise it, but don't follow through. Also, there wasn't an overwhelming chemical smell that some places have. Definitely recommend this place for a relaxing experience at a great price. read more

Mary is one of my favorite people - we didn't realize she'd left another spa that we'd been going to for years. On a whim we stopped by and found her! The spa is small and simple, but extremely clean and there's no 'nail salon' smell to it. I got a spa pedicure and the leg massage was wonderful. Great prices and friendly service. Not very impressed. At all. I'm very gratious n easy to please--read my other reviews. Came here with my mom, she's been here before and liked it. I guess I have higher standards. Issues: --I clearly said I wanted the basic pedicure, before I know it, my feet are in plastic bags with paraffin (feels great, but not what I asked for--upselling me on purpose or by accident?) --Selection of trendy neon colors is basically nonexistent. --Mom's shellac did not look like the samples she chose AT ALL. She had to ask for color change a few times to get closer to the chosen sample color, then just gave up because of their limited English and just kept what they gave her. --I look young and they treated my mom WAY better. They massaged her arms and legs longer. They were more attentive to her. They gave offered her water. I got none of that. We paid the same amount and I always tip well. Age discrimination is unacceptance for any business. --TV was blaring on annoying LiveCNN court proceedings. I asked politely to turn it down, which they did, but shortly after it was blaring again--likely because of the older lady with walker getting manicure. Respect to old ladies, but let's find some sort of peaceful compromise here. Only reason I'm giving 2 stars is because they tried diligently to serve, just kept missing the mark. Giving me less of massage and treating me differently because I look young is really not cool. I'm guessing this place is for older neighborhood ladies and based on how they treated me, I will not be back. Conclusion: if you are under 35 and/or like trendy colors, choose a better equipped place. read more

Save your money and go somewhere else. In a pinch I went here with my husband for a mani-pedi. When I asked about a pricing sheet the lady said they didn't have one. We got 2 "deluxe" mani pedis which were anything but deluxe. They completely rushed the manicures and then after touting a big 20% off sign out front charged $84 when I only got polish on my toes. After reading a few reviews about the attitude they got for pointing out errors I figured it a moot point. You'll get a much better experience anywhere else along louetta. read more

Not a very good shellac manicure nor pedicure. Cuticles weren't properly removed, nail polish looked as if a 10 year old painted them. The ladies were nice but I will not be returning. I am very disappointed, my nails look like crap. read more

I came to this salon because I saw some good reviews on yelp. On a Saturday they didn't require an appointment so I just dropped by. Unfortunately, I was a little disappointed. I paid for a pedicure and a manicure which was $30 all together. My manicure turned out alright, but my pedicure was a little messy. The lady started painting my toes and then she just walked away just as I had noticed that she made a mistake on my big toe. She wasn't using enough polish, so by the third coat it was a dry, jumbled mess. I was very confused as I was left waiting there and a new lady came and explained to me that she was "scared" to finish my toes because she didn't want to mess up any further. I understand making mistakes, however you don't just leave and keep the customer waiting. Their service was mediocre and so was the product. Also, they don't have very vibrant colors. If you're looking for a salon with a trendy collection and fantastic service, I suggest you look further. read more

So I just got my nails done here today. They do a decent job, but their professional skills are lacking. I was getting shellac today while another customer walked in wanting a pedicure. Midways between ome getting my nails done, the woman who was servicing me stops and goes to give the customer who walked in a pedicure. Meanwhile someone else takes over the job to finish my nails. The new lady who took over my nails didn't speak or anything. She just picked up where the previous nail tech left off. Extremely tacky.And I agree with a previous customer, not a wide variety to choose from as far a shades go. My daughter and I both had a pedicure and our nails done. Although our nails look good the experience was less than relaxing. The atmosphere was not all that. There was very little to choose from in the way nail polish colors, shellac, and powder. The ladies didn't seem to understand what we wanted and my daughter and I did not even get to sit next to each other while getting pedicures. I was cut several times while my cuticles were being trimmed and my daughters toe was cut pretty bad. There were two TV's on in each corner with the volume on. One of the TV's channel was on a constant stream of infomercials. The ladies were nice and the prices were reasonable, but I do not see myself returning anytime soon. read more

I've been going to Mary for 5 years, and she has always been professional and does an excellent job. She takes walk-ins if she's able to accommodate them, so it may require her to momentarily get them seated and then get back to her client, but it's a small salon and that's to be expected. It's never time of any length. After 5 years of regular nails and pedicures, I can say she has always done a great job. And if a nail chips between visits, she always lets me drop in for a quick repair and never charges me for it (but I choose to tip her anyway for being so accommodating to me!). read more

I have been getting my nails done for approximately 30 years and this is the worst place I've ever been! The colors of shellac they offer is minimal! And it has been a week and the paint is already coming off! They rushed through my refill and pedicure and there was nobody in the salon. They even forgot to give me a massage and did it last and extremely quickly. Not relaxing at all! The lady who was doing my nails did not file them correctly and when I told her about it she got an attitude! I even told her I feel like it she was rushing but she was argumentative and No I'm not! When I left there was still paint all on the skin of my fingers and hands! She wasn't even going to get it off until I said something to her. Very very sloppy job! I've been in the service industry for several years and it's not in my nature to not tip , however, they were not deserving of any gratuity. And to top that off their prices were more expensive than they told me in the beginning. Very unprofessional and a horrible job too boot. I will absolutely never ever go there again! Huge disappointment! Save your money! After a week I'm having to get my nails redone because they did such a crappy job! Save your money and go somewhere else! read more
