When the lady finished with my significant other's pedicure, she told me that she had an appointment and couldn't do mine. The whole time my feet were in the water getting cold. Id recommend this for nails but the only drawback is that no one ever answers the phone so you can't call to make an appt. You have to wing it and show up hoping there's availability. I don't have time in my day for that so a lot of times I resort to calling another salon. For example, I tried calling twice this morning, both times it rang once and hung up. I bring my daughter so I need an appt since there are two of us. It's just bad business practice to not answer phones. read more

Experience was normal didn't ask for nothing crazy a simple French white tip shellac manicure. After being redoing a couple nails bc it came out lumpy she fixed with no problem, after two days most of my nails chipped very disappointing being I just spent $55 of them. Went in to get the powder dip taken off my nails and re-done... a lady comes says shes ready and takes me to her station... I myself know that they need to drill the very top surface of nail to get the rest of the dip off .. but this lady drilled all the way to my real nail!!! I felt it because it started feeling hot and when i pulled away and looked, my nail bed was red in the middle.. you know how many curse words I said!! I called to see if they did the dip powder technique (which seems to be hard to find now that I moved to Houston) and the gentleman said yes and quoted 25.00. I entered the shop and after being greeted/picking my colors, I waited about 10-15mins before being called to the table. The wait didn't really bother me much. After a lot of confusion, the lady thought I wanted shellac and after explaining it to her, she told me she doesn't do the dip powder. They spoke to each other and I started looking up another shop close by because I didn't have time to play at that point but she then told me to sit at another station to get serviced. The same guy who answered told me that it'll be 30.00 instead of 25.00 because 25.00 is only for refills. I was puzzled because you can't even get refills on dip powder. Anywho- I accepted it and he started doing what I wanted. I picked a nice sherbet soft orange and a polish to match my toes which was 7.00 for a polish change (pretty normal charge). The orange looked rather dark but he told me that it fades on the display over time but it's definitely what I picked. That was a bold face lie because I actually saw the orange that was this color on the sample nail! the other lady came to watch so she could learn which was cool. I asked the man was he the only one who knew the technique and he said "Yes because this technique takes too long and shellac is faster." I simply told him "faster isn't always better." To make a long story longer, he ended up painting my toes a deeper orange to match the wrong color they put on my nails. Overall the job was decent but Ido t think I'm goi gang back there. Shop was ok, nothing fancy at all. 3 stars because service was fast and he at least made sure everything matched at the end. UPDATE: it's been five days and my nail has chipped!! This has NEVER happened with this technique with other shops. They usually last 3weeks or more. read more

I've always had a great experience here. The women are nice, the wait times are reasonable and the prices are the best in the area. I've had shellac manicures, pedicures and solar nails done here and have been happy with each one. I've been going to Rose's for several years now and will continue for as long as their doors are open. They are always friendly, always available (longest walk in wait i've ever had was about 30 minutes... plenty of time to run to the gas station or McDonald's in their parking lot and get a sweet tea!). The difference is that, the times that I have had an appointment, I actually got to sit down on time! Nothing frustrates me more than making an appt to go sit and wait for 20 minutes. Typically I expect to spend anywhere from $60-80 for a new set and spa pedi but spend about $50 here. I leave with beautiful nails, completely relaxed from a fabulous pedi and most importantly, all of my cuticles in tact... If you've ever had a bad mani / pedi, you know EXACTLY what I'm talking about. I trust them so much that this past weekend, I took my [very skeptical] mother-in-law in for her first ever pedicure. She left there with her legs shaking (in a good way) and can't wait for her next one! THIS IS ABSOLUTELY THE BEST CHOICE IN THE AREA... but in case you're not convinced, I wouldn't recomment taking your chances at the shop in front of HEB. read more

I went in here on a Friday before I had to go to a rehearsal dinner. When I arrived, I asked if there was a long wait since I was in a hurry... I was told, "No, no, go sit in that chair and get a massage." I was happy since this is the closest nail salon to me, and I wanted a nice, friendly place. Fast forward 45 minutes later... Yes, I got into a seat without a wait, but it took them 45 minutes just to get to me. I would have been happier being turned away, so I could try somewhere else! The staff was nice enough, but far from attentive. The person doing my mani/pedi was constantly on her personal phone taking calls and returning text messages. They have many nail selections for solar nails, but I think Ive had them all so Im getting kinda tired of them. They are very friendly, and take there time on each and every single nail, making sure it looks the best. It is a little bit expensive though, but its worth it. $30 for full set. $25-$30ish for refill depending on what designs and whatnot you want on your nails. Many years ago, this place was called Gorgeous Nails, and all of my friends' moms were patrons. Several years ago, I think it changed owners and names, but we're all still going. All of the nail technicians are friendly and do a really fabulous job. Can you beat $30 for a spa mani/pedi? It's packed on the weekends, and there are a few ladies there who are constantly booked. The place is very clean, and the chairs are fairly new. My mom is in there every two weeks. I love that even though I moved away two years ago and only make it in there a couple of times a year, they always remember me and how I don't like my cuticles cut and just get my nails buffed. Went to get my nails done yesterday. 12/16/16 I asked for coffin shape and the lady told me they charge $3 extra for shaping. This was after she had already glued the nails on. So I said fine just do regular square shape. The outcome was horrible. My nails look crooked I kept telling her to fix them. They look like duck nails. I've never hated my nails so much. I have been going to this nail shop for approximately 4 year now. The service that is provided by the Techs are outstanding my technician which is the owner Kevin is the best. He is always so accommodating and even if he is booked he will squeeze me in. I work in the HP complex and go during my lunch and I am in and out between 30-45 minutes and the quality is still the same as if he took an hour. He is really considerate of others time. He not only does my nails but also my eye brows which come out flawless every-time. I have refereed a large quantity of my co workers to Rose Nails and all have been beyond satisfied. Everyone is friendly and even though Kevin is my Tech everyone in the shop knows my name.I feel like a truly valued customer verses just another dollar walking in the door and they do not pressure you to get services you do not request just to make an extra buck.
