Love a good pedicure! Who doesn't enjoy being pampered?! Especially on a vacation! Some background, I am a tourist from Hawaii so lot of this review is based on comparing my experiences in Hawaii... The layout and decor of this nail salon is on point. It is large and spacious--don't like those tiny salons where everything is packed in--makes me feel claustrophobic. Everything looks clean, bright and new! Soon after being greeted, I was offered a beverage. Much appreciated after dealing with this unusual winter Houston heat. Water, slushies, even wine was offered. Wine for meeh! Ordered the Pearl Spa Pedicure. They used a myriad of different creams and lotions on me. Much more than I am used to compared to Hawaii. I welcome the added care! Especially interesting was the paraffin hot wax treatment. Not sure what the benefit is but took the pampering to another level! I left Venus Nails a happy camper! Though everyone was really nice, I paid for the upgraded pedi that includes massage but she said she'd do it at the end then asked "do you still want it" so I declined, I mean what would you say to that? But the issue is they still charged for the upgraded. I paid $120 for gel mani pedi. Also the gel nail color I chose is somewhat translucent but you'll see I have 4 coats on bc it was "empty" and wasn't curing correctly and she didn't listen when I say ok let's do a different color when she said it would need another coat after 2 whomp whomp read more

The most absolute worst experience iv ever had in a nail salon, I was cut multiple times in both my hands & toes. BY DIFFERENT PEOPLE. My pedicure experience was a 5-star from the time I step foot into the shop until I walked out the door. Upon entering I was greeted by Tina, the owner of the salon. She's always happy, welcoming & warm. She offered me a beverage which I chose a glass of white wine. I was then sat down at the pedicure chair shortly after my arrival. I chose the Pearl pedicure and my nail technician was an older gentleman named John, he was so attentive! He took his time & pay careful attention to details. The Pearl Pedicure was a luxurious & soothing process ideal for tired feet or simply if you're looking to be pampered. The process started with hydrating cleanser, follow by callus removal, sugar scrub, nourishing mask. It doesn't stop there! Then comes the leg massage, another hot wax wrap with a hot stone mini massage and finally finished off with soothing lotion. I have to say that was the best pedicure I've ever had. I've been to this place several times. Every single time the price gets ridiculously higher and higher. Today I walked in here with my daughter to get our toes and nails done. I asked for acrylics for her and I both. They used colored powder instead. I asked them to do short nails on her, she got long nails instead. I asked for long nails, I ended up with short nails. Not only that but the simple "designs" that we asked for are trash. My nails are extremely bulky, they are all shaped differently. Our first visit here I paid about $180 for the same service. Our next visit $220, the following $250. This time around I paid $290. I do not ask for extremely crazy and elaborate designs. I did not get extra large nails to pay for the what I did. I was the third customer in this morning, they were not busy yet the lady doing my nails was rushing. I got dip powder, completely uneven application. The edges of my nails were not coated, she left glue residue on my fingers, cut my cuticle when she was filing very roughly, did not buff my nails properly before applying top coat leaving them feeling rough and uneven. I walk in and wow.... First of all I didn't even get to speak I just get told that they're super "busy" and they close in 45 mins which I understand but there's maximum 3 people here and she doesn't even ask me what I want done. I needed an eyebrow wax which takes max 15 mins.... Then she proceeds to ask me if I can come back tomorrow....like there isn't other nail shops across the way that are open until later. Horrible experience. I went in with a request of doing a marbled nail. I told them if they couldn't do it, that was fine. They assured me that they knew how. The tech doing my nails was very rushed and cut me multiple times. I bled and it hurt like a bitch. Absolute worst experience I have ever had getting my nails done. My nails LOOKED CHEAP AND AWFUL. They weren't even cheap. I also purchased the $60 pedicure package and was supposed to get a 15min shoulder and back massage and it literally lasted 2 mins. If that. I ended up paying and was only offered $10 back. I left and had my nail redone at a place by the Galleria. On top of that. If I could rate this place a 0, I would. These people lack good customer service and are very rude to their customers. The lady who did my acrylics seemed to be in a rush and they turned out looking AWFUL. The people working on my nails were very ROUGH and did not seem to care or say sorry when I told them they hurt me (I was literally bleeding). I asked for my toes to be same color as my fingernails and they put a completely VERY NOTICEABLE different color on my feet. Everyone who worked there seemed very annoyed anytime anyone would walk through the door. (It was only 3 pm and they close at 5) I am very disappointed with their attitude and poor quality considering how high their prices are. Needless to say, I will never be going back here again. The owner Tina did my nails she was super sweet and very attentive to my needs. One of the color was out of stock but she recommends a better color for the manicure. The foot massage and scrub was "da bomb". I never had hot wax wrap to my foot before but it was a very nice relaxing experience that i highly recommended for all to try. So I'm a college student, i'm a senior about to graduate. I've been going to this nail salon since I was a junior in high school. Over the time management has changed several times, but the current owners are horrible. I want a total of two times since 2020 started when I would come home to visit my family from school and sometimes I will come home and get my nails done like I did today, when I got there around 2:45 in the afternoon, They put me at the pedicure seat and I sat there for 30 minutes before I received any service. And once I receive service they didn't do my nails right, I have acrylic toes and I get shellac on top of my toes as well (last longer) Basically the current person she didn't know how to put acrylic on the Toes so she had to go get the man to help and when he came I already explain to her that already had a refill on one of my toe so I didn't need another refill and so she still had him put more on there (which made my toenail look so bulky). And when it was time to paint them she didn't paint them professionally ( I have paint all over my skin and the tone was all rugged and not perfectly white). Once I explain to her what happened she called the manager over and she helped me but when she was spelling it off the start over she cut my toe and I started BLEEDING NON STOP (THE MANAGER cut me) for about 5 mins. And so eventually she had another person come and fix my toes which is better but not as good as I had them when I came in. I was there for two hours before they started my acrylics it on my hands because they were doing on my feet. So the manager decided to start filling my nails down for my refill while the lady was doing my toes and she had the machine on super fast and she was just filing super fast and ruff. Eventually LADY finish my feet and then we move the table and then we start doing my nails which was all right she did them OK not the best but had an attitude with me and try to tell me to stop complaining. The service is very bad I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone because it's not the only time I've had a problem with them yet alone my own sisters have been here before and had a problem with them to, she told my sister that oh I recognize you you're the sister of the one that complains all the time. I moved from Clear Lake near NASA to this area in September & have been going to this establishment since. My nail tech is great and I've always been satisfied. Last week I went in for a a mani (dip) & pedi as usual. Less than a week later I noticed a chip on my thumb. Initially, I was going to let it pass but then another one cracked. I figured it needed more powder or more time to dry. I always spend about $100 when I visit every two weeks. I texted my technician & she apologized & we made arrangements to come in. Long story short, the female owner walked up, had a conversation in vietnamese, left, stood to my right, talked in vietnamese then had the technician leave & said she'd do it. She put the powder away & said she was using shellac. She was obviously upset. I apologized. My money is hard earned & I expect a good result. I decided after driving away she will not get my business & those I've referred won't go back. Fixing my nails won't break your business. It's called customer satisfaction. I know your business won't go broke either. I speak english and spanish and wonder how you would have felt if I made faces, Stood in front of you and on your side and spoke in Spanish. I understand things happen and I told her that but she was obviously focused on having to lose money because I wasn't about to pay for something that should last at least two weeks then she does the replacement job with a different product. I wasn't in the mood to deal with her at that point. The good thing is I have choices where to spend my money. It won't be there. I'll miss my technician but won't miss seeing that woman. *updated review* The nail tech I got my nails done with a couple of times there left. Since I had really liked her I decided to get them done there again. I was very disappointed, I got a male tech but didn't catch his name. The nails came out very uneven, during the whole time he was so sloppy. I have gotten my nails done for years and this was just shocking, like even when he filed my nails, he did like some random strokes & left them wobbly at the tip. Some nails came out thin, others thick, some thick close to my cuticle and others thick close to the tip. The level of his sloppiness was incredible... when I asked him to buff one of the nails down because it was ultra thick and had a massive bump in the middle he went over it one twice with the buffing machine thing with the file thing hitting the front part of my finger and getting like stuck on my nail!!! And he was like "good?" and I showed him the nail on profile and I was like what do you think!!!! Like it was the same.... the gel polish job another disaster he painted all the way back on top of my cuticle on half of my fingers & on a couple of them went into the sides.... I had to ask him to buff the acrylic under my nails because he was planning on leaving it... i am a customer i am not there to remind you how to do a manicure. All in all it was a mediocre refill and he did not perform like a person that wants customers to return. I will have to find another place. This technician no longer works there --- Love my nails! I brought my nephew here before his deployment to Africa (Air force MP) and the customer service was terrible. I've been here before when there were females working and the service was great. There were nothing but men working while we were there. After we got seated and they began to work on our feet I asked if they still gave drinks (wine, water or soda) since we weren't offered anything and the last time we didn't have to ask it was offered, the guy told me no. It's been a while since I've been so we figured because of Covid they don't do that anymore. A caucasian woman and then a caucasian man came in and was seated and next thing I know one of the guys came from the back with 2 wine glasses gave it to them. I asked him who gets offered a drink and he said that the guys who are servicing us should have offered and then he changed it and said that there was a $37 minimum. It's no where printed and since I was paying for 2 people it should have applied. Also, I could tell the guy who did my pedicure was new he was just was horrible, my 4yr old nephew could have done a better job. read more

I went there yesterday and when we walked in they didn't ask us what we were getting. When I told them I was getting dip nails they didn't show me where the color options were which was really weird. The employees didn't really talk to us at all. I got a polish change on my toes which are already chipped off and all I've done is walk around my carpet and put my sandals on. My nails feel somewhat soft and already have scratches and bumps in them. Plus all of them are uneven on the sides(coffin) and bumpy on the cuticle. Don't go here. My dip was lifting from my nails within days. When I went to another salon to get a new set, I had mold on my nails from moisture being trapped under the dip that lifted so quickly.
