All the techs are friendly and do great work. Never have a problem getting in to them as they'll work you in if need be.

Wish I had read more reviews…read more Two visits - first time was mediocre gel that didn't last two weeks - went back to try dip with a new person hoping the experience would be better and boy was a wrong Went back for dip mani and pedi (got up sold on a pedi and somehow my bill came out to $119 before tip) Dips nails were chipped within 3 days which fell on a weekend... tried emailing on Sunday (email address is evidently from prior owners so doesn't work although it's listed all over the internet) Couldn't get thru via the phone and no space to leave VM - have to schedule an appt for a nail repair (getting in on day 6 of my mani) hoping they will honor their work... Show up.. my appt is not in the system.. they just let me sit there 10 minutes past my appt time until i ask if my tech is there... find out that tech was not there and there is no appt record in the system (I have appt confirmation and reminder emails) They ask me to come back (evidently no one can fix my nails on site) - clearly done with this place I say I want a refund Then I wait another 10-15 minutes as they fumble thru calling an owner or someone who can approve my refund - finally it happens and the owner says they will refund. Once I see the service plus my tip come thru as promised I will update a star. But to date I'm 2 hours of lost time, $140 money down the drain and left completely frustrated and ticked off. Nail pic taken on Monday and nails were done prior Tuesday afternoon. They chipped over the weekend but I didn't deal with it until Monday

When I walked in, I was offered a variety of things including wine (which I declined for my early morning appointment, but it was a nice option to have. This place is a joke... A really bad one..waited 40 minutes for a pedicure that I'd scheduled in…read moreadvance and when I finally got escorted back I had to wait another 20 min after I chose my color to get put in a chair. Once I did I was left alone for 10 minutes until I called out to someone because the water in the tub was splashing all over me and onto the walls and ground!! I thought I had to be on camera.. The rest of the pedicure was not good--he made my toe bleed and took more than two hours to complete. Didn't put me under a dryer either so now there are smudges and I have to go somewhere else to get it fixed. The manicure was actually just a polish change so now I have to get that fixed too. I can't believe this place is in business... When I asked who the owners were, nobody even knew!! The coupon is NOT worth it.

Horrible Place…read more Rediculous. I waited more than a half hour for my nail appointment and there were only 2 other customers in the ENTIRE salon. Without exaggeration, every single person in the salon had a clueless, deer-in-the-headlights, look and their face and no one knew what was going on. Tried to charge me to remove the polish on my nails before starting the new service. What salon does that? My nail tech filed my (long) nails down to nubs because she couldn't figure out how to file them evenly. I eventually got so frustrated I left in the middle of my service. Come to find out my 'nail tech' wasn't even a nail tech! She was a hair stylist that was 'helping out'!! That's just horrible service. Don't trust them!

Sadly, this place used to be my go to spot whenever I needed to get my nails done. However, after…read moretoday's experience...I will NEVER return to this salon again. It boggles my mind the amount of unprofessionalism that is displayed in this "salon". The employees are always on their phones - I've had employees push me aside so that they can go and answer their phones and I've also had employees that carry on with their phone conversations while working on my nails. The employees' children are always present at the salon as well. Although this is completely unprofessional, I've always overlooked this aspect. I'm a working mom and I completely understand the cost of daycare and finding ways to cut cost. Today, however...I was appalled by several things! First, one of the employees brought their puppy into the salon. At first I thought it was cute seeing the puppy since it was absolutely adorable, but then to see the puppy roam around and pee in areas of the salon definitely put me off. Second, I witnessed two of the employees sleeping in the salon's massage chairs. I understand that there might be "slow periods" throughout the day...but to sleep in front of the clients that are present? Um, no. Seriously, where is the professionalism in this staff? Lastly, I've never noticed how overpriced this salon is until I moved and have been paying a lot less at a different salon that I've been frequenting. I paid $90 for a gel manicure/pedicure. I have never spent over $75 with any manicure/pedicure combo - even with gel and/or solar nails! The crazy thing is that they didn't charge me the prices that were listed on their sales board. They added additional costs to both services and those costs were nowhere on the sales board. Unfortunately, I will no longer support this salon nor use their services again. The lack of professionalism, the uncleanliness of the salon, the costly price of the services, and the poor customer service have definitely turned me away from ever returning. Good luck, Modern Nails!

I don't write many reviews but this was by far the worst experience I've had in a nail salon . I…read morehad a gel manicure today by an older lady with short bob and glasses. She blew through trimming my cuticles within 2 minutes. When I asked her to take more off, she replied "I don't want to make you bleed". She proceeded to tell me to buy some cuticle oil and apply everyday myself to improve the dryness. (I am a surgical resident at OSU and wash/scrub my hands 10's of times daily so my hands/cuticles are extremely dried and cracked.) When time came for the polish, she tried to talk me into doing a clear polish instead of the Bubble Bath I requested since the polish is difficult to polish on evenly. I got the bubble bath, but had to ask to get the polish cleaned off my cuticles before curing under UV. In the end, my nails looked OK but left the salon feeling VERY frustrated.

Corresponding with email is not what I would rely on, it was sporadic at best. Farrah (Managing Esthetician) was very friendly, easy to talk with and share info about my skin. Knowing this was my first microabrasion and high-frequency treatment. During my session, she shared info about working on the inside that might help with my skin with "Raw Probiotic for women". The skin wash/cleaning, microabrasion, and high-frequency treatment, it great for my oily skin (that is acceptable to building up of dry skin very easily) and so much better than with my experience with a chemical peel from another spa. I really felt like I got the "full spa personable experience" with Farrah. Thoroughly taken care of and she shared some very helpful information that I can use going forward with taking care of my skin. Until my next spa visit. ("At-home" versions of microabrasion and high-frequency devices can be purchased online. They aren't spa-strength or spa-brand.) I found Aura Spa with a Groupon purchase, they are a bit pricey but, it's nice to treat yourself and take care of yourself at the same time.
