Had an appointment SCHEDULED/confirmed by salon for 4:30pm today. After reading the salon's started reviews, I was hoping it would be my new regular spot since I have moved..... Nope. After arriving on time for my appointment I was asked to pick a color and that they'd be with me right away. 15 minutes passes... the man and the woman again say they'll be wish me right away. Another 15 minutes goes by and I ask what the deal is. The male nail technician looks me right in the eye and says to come back in an hour... Why would you confirm an appointment with a customer that you can't keep? I understand that they may have gotten busy.. but I was told over and over they'd be right with me... and then asked to come back? Unprofessional. I've never encountered something like this ever. All 3 of us Had a pleasant experience . The women took such good care of my girls , prep cleaning and polish while I was getting my nails done by the guy that works there. Our nails are nothing over the top fancy , but I paid 65 and I think that's a fair price . We were in and out of there in 35-40 minutes which was fantastic . Would recommend and if I'm still in town when I need a fill I'll be back read more

They are so lumpy and several that point up (which she told me was my nail pointing that way and she couldn't fix it). I've been having my nails done for 25 years and this might be the worst they have ever looked. I have an appointment at a different salon to have them soaked off and redone. My Favorite nail salon EVER. The salon itself is not fancy. The chairs are older and the decor is a bit dated. That being said, the salon is always clean and well kept. This is a small family owned business. Only the mother, father and daughter work here. The are always so nice and accommodating; they really do treat you like family. They do tend to get busy so it's best to make an appointment, walk-in don't always fit into their schedule. There is a great selection of colors to choose from and the manicures and pedicures are always on point! The pricing here is also very reasonable. I've going to fancier salons and paid much more for less quality services. If you are more concerned with the welcoming environment and consistent, great services, I highly recommended this place! So my husband and I decided to get pedicures. Well, let me rephrase that... I wanted to get a pedicure and I decided to drag my husband along with me. We decided to try Central nails because we had been to this location before and although it was many years ago, it seemed to be a place where we could get in and get out. Let's be honest, during these restricted schedules in a world trying to come back to some normalcy, pretty much every nail place is always booked on the weekends and they happen to have an opening for us both to get our pedis done. Well, he had a lady who did a very nice job. She was funny, witty, and she may be the owner of the place and I had the gentleman. While he was cutting my cuticles he seem to be a little rough and I thought he actually cut through my skin and made me bleed, but I didn't see any blood; however, when he did the metal scraping on my foot I didn't notice that he scraped too hard under my big toe, and he actually scrape some of the skin off! WTF dude?!? and it's really painful right now. So, it looks like I'll be crossing Central nails off of my list! It's unfortunate because it's close by and I had frequented them many, many times and never had an issue before today but when it comes to my feet or my hair or my body it's kind of a one strike and you're done forget that three strikes rule. So if you're brave I will suggest you try central nails in Worthington Ohio, otherwise they are probably 20 to 30 other places that are close by that you can give a try. read more

I'm new to the city and after having my nails botched at another salon, I came here based on the reviews that John was great. The first time he was very kind and helpful so I decided to come back. Since then he's has been very rude and aggressive anytime I ask for anything. He rolled his eyes at me when and rudely exclaimed "Why would you want that" when I asked for stiletto nails. He threw his nail file down at me and told me to shape my nails myself when asked for the shape to be narrower. I asked if he could use the drill to get some spray paint out from under my one nail when I was getting a fill and he got mad and told he would charge me a lot more for that. When it first happened I thought maybe he misunderstood me and overreacted but now it happens every single time I go and it's made me so uncomfortable and upset that I will never go back. If I wanted a man to be rude to me, I could achieve that so many other ways without paying him over $100 every visit to do so. Also, if you want more simple nails, this place is fine but if you want anything special, specific shapes or even colors, this is not the place. The gel color selection is very limited. read more

I walked in the door and the man started yelling at me that I am going to have to wait, which was no problem. The lady said maybe 45 minutes. The male then yelled an hour an hour and a half could be longer. At this point I realized he did not want my business. Only reason I can think of is because I'm a black woman. I love coming to this salon! Everybody is so kind. I moved to the Polaris area and was having trouble finding a good nail salon with good prices until I came to central nails. Not only are they so sweet their prices are great. It does get pretty busy on Fridays and the weekend, but if you make an appointment on those days you'll be fine. I usually do a walk in during the week day and they always have time to fit me in. They have a huge gel polish selection which also keeps me coming back! They do a great job with eyebrow waxing as well! You won't be disappointed coming here. The only reason why I didn't give it 5 stars is because I've came twice when it was busy & I felt like they were rushing to get me done. I understand they don't want to keep the other customers waiting, but you also want to take your time & do a great job. read more

I go to John for my nails but tried his daughter Lynn today for facial and waxing as I had heard she was good. There are pluses and minus here. I have been getting facials for a lot of years at many places as well as waxing. Lynn was very good. Took time, was thorough and was really attentive to her waxing making sure it was all smooth. She took extra time to show me how to shape my brows, which I appreciated as they are thin in spots. I was pleased with the whole job. The downside is that it is enclosed but you can hear the Tv in the nail area and people talking. It stays bright the entire time as sh cannot dim her lights. I suggest taking earbuds and relaxing music, which I will do the next time. She said that would be fine with her. All in all it was a good experience and she did a great job. read more

Got a pedi done almost a week ago and considering I'm a very active person, I was expecting them to chip or dent in a couple days, but they still look brand new. I've been to this salon several times, and it's always been great, but recently I didn't have a good experience. Every other time I have been I've had the gentleman (I believe his name is John), but this past time the lady did my nails. She doesn't do as nice of a job-- I feel like she doesn't really take her time. My acrylics are uneven and super thick- I feel like I have talons. And she got the acrylic all over my nail beds. I've never had this problem when the man does my acrylics, and I would recommend him to anyone! If you have a choice I would recommend waiting for the gentleman to do acrylics. The salon itself is great-- there aren't a ton of color choices, but the prices are awesome and the wait isn't ever long! read more

I try to only leave positive reviews, but I just have to share on this one since cleanliness, not just quality, is a concern. I have been here twice. First visit got a pedicure and a gel manicure. The manicure peeled on two nails after only two days. I thought $65 for the service was a bit much for this area. I thought I'd give them another shot since they are so darn close to my house. This time I got a pedicure only. I did mention the gel manicure problem, but they didn't even apologize. Just said I should've come back when it happened. I told them I had to travel and didn't have time. No offer to do it again or even a discount. My pedicure is okay. Had to remove polish from my skin when I got home. The thing that bothered me the most is that after the tech put my dirty tools away she found some more skin she wanted to trim. So she grabbed some cuticle trimmers from the drawer behind her, used them, then wiped them on my towel and put them back in the same drawer without sanitizing them! That's scary.
