This place was okay. It was very welcoming and nice. All I wanted was a pedicure with gel polish. First of all, I got the basic pedicure which was $40.00. I barely was massaged and the whole process was okay. But when she told me my total was $60.00, I immediately wasn't ever going to come back. I'm so sorry, but to add on an additional $20.00 for gel polish is absolutely INSANE. I'm not sure if this is everywhere in buffalo, as i just moved here and haven't been to any other salon, but that is absolutely outrageous to me. So beware!! Also would like to add, that my big toe nail is crooked!! it looks ridiculous and I could've don't better then that.. SMH
I don't get my nails done often and am not overly well versed in what I need to ask for when I get a manicure. I usually show a picture or pick a color and shape, etc. I did the same thing at this salon and while the nail tech got the color and shape right, she did nothing to my cuticles to clean them up or any type of manicure. The manager said you have to specify that and that it's an extra charge. I assumed that when you get your nails done, they always do this. I wish that when I came in with completely trashed cuticles and asked to have my nails done, they asked if I wanted a manicure as an upcharge to the nails/polish or otherwise specified that a set of nails does not include the basic cuticle cleanup, etc. The nails themselves are pretty disappointing and have a lot of areas where I wish they were cleaner. One nail was cut very crooked, and the tech filed the polish off all the sides so you can see bare nail on every one.
I started going back to the salon back in October and it was great to be back after COVID. The salon is super clean and they follow the guidelines. All staffs are wearing masks and there is a shield between the employee and customer. It wasn't busy when I went on the weekdays but i know it's busier on the weekends. I went for the gel French tip and I loved it. The owner was the one who did my nails and she did a great job. She would ask if I wanted my white tips to be thick or thin and the base color can be chosen which I chose pink but I know they have the grayish base. It's a nice experience when you get to chat with the employees instead of sitting there in silent. Super friendly place to go to and inexpensive!
The absolute worst pedicure I have ever experienced. The woman did not speak any English. I told her I wanted the same polish on that I had. She had to get someone to interpret. She proceeded to gouge cuticles without allowing enough soak time. The water was not warm and she did not understand my asking for it to be changed. by the time I was halfway through this torturous event, I told her I would not be getting my manicure. She forgot to use the hot towel until I was ready to get up from the chair. She put in the rubber toe divider things upside down. As a began to walk out it rubbed off the polish. They offered to have me stay another agonizing few minutes to fix it and I couldn't bear it. Then they acted nasty to me after charging me yes folks, $40 for a pedicure. Are you kidding me? There are better salons in Buffalo -find one
A first visit and immediately greeted and asked our names. Pedicures at stations 7,8 and 9 and two out of three for eyebrow wax. The massage chairs were excellent.. I only had the pedicure and as the pay person; I was requested to pay as my toes dried. The decor is welcoming yet I was turned off with the interruption and lack of assistance in removing the sandal. Party number one was happy with her eyebrows. My daughter was assisted with taking off the sandal and toe separator.The third party was happy with her eyebrows but not the solicitation to buy items.
I have been here twice, once for a pedicure and once for a gel manicure. The 2 staff who did my nails were great and did a nice job. Also the prices are reasonable compared to other places in the area. My marking them down is due to the odd interactions with staff when you enter. The woman who asks what you want done is extremely pushy and not friendly. It has been packed in there both times and it is very confusing where to sit. Also last time I had to soak off a dip and they would not touch my nails they had me soak in acetone for 30 minutes and told me I had to keep rubbing my nails on a paper towel until all the dip was off. I have never had to do this at another nail salon. I will probably go back for a pedicure but not a manicure.
This nail salon is the best. I actually couldn't get in the last time I was here. So this time I made sure to get here early. And guess what, there was a line with almost 10 people waiting to go inside a whole 15 minutes prior to opening! I'm telling you, this is the best nail salon. The staff are so personable, friendly and kind. They all work together to get your manicure and pedicure done quickly, and beautifully. Always good vibes. And they work so hard, too! Plus, you'll leave with a really great gel mani/pedi. THANK YOU :)
This is the best nail salon I have been to in the area! I came in, gave my name and type of service, they told me an hour wait, and when I came back the nail technician at the entrance remembered exactly who I was. The salon has three levels for pedicures; $30, $40, & $50 with an array of polish colors and additional services to add on. The chairs were extremely comfortable, the foot bowls were lined with plastic, and the chairs had a variety of massage types. The nail technicians were extremely friendly, even with how busy they were, and the quality of service was superb. When I checked out, the person at the front, who did not do my nails, thanked me by name and wished me a good day. I was amazed at the quality of service, the friendliness of the staff, and the prices.
I was in the area on vacation & was long overdue for a gel manicure & a pedicure. I passed by Nail Studio & Spa on my way to Target & called to find out about availability. They do not take appointments-- it is walk in only, which I'm not accustomed to. I was able to get in on a Tuesday afternoon relatively quickly. The owners are efficient & have a great system for getting customers their services in order of arrival. I was able to get a regular pedicure, gel manicure & my eyebrows waxed in under 2 hours, including time to soak off my previous nails. I went in with a picture of what I wanted & one of the owners recommended a coat of funny bunny and then a second coat of a light pink-- my nails came out just like the inspo pic! The entire staff was friendly, knowledgeable & kind. The owners take the time to greet every single customer & learn their names. If I'm ever in the area again I'm definitely coming back!
I'm so satisfied with my experience here! I haven't gone to a nail salon in many years, but at the recommendation of my friend we went. As soon as I walked in the door, I was greeted and asked my name, and the woman up front made lovely conversation with us and really made us feel welcome. We were lucky to get in super quick, as I've heard it can be a long wait, so if you don't mind waiting it's certainly worth it. Lots of nail techs working, though. Prices were super reasonable! I was surprised. I was able to get a manicure and gel polish for $30 flat. The manicure has restored my nails and cuticles, and the polish is beautiful. I will definitely be returning!

Yes there is typically a longer wait than other nail salons but there's a good reason for it; it's worth it!! The owners Twee and her husband Vito kindly greet every customer that comes in. If you've come in more than once before, Twee is probably going to remember you by name. I don't know how she does it but I think it's a great touch and makes everyone feel welcome. They will talk/joke with customers and their staff which make for a fun environment. The staff is always very friendly as well. Everyone does great work! I try to come every few weeks to get a gel polish. Twee and Vito are who will apply the gel polish and it always lasts 2 weeks or more for me. No chipping or peeling. I often get pedicures too which are always great. The atmosphere here is fun, inviting, clean (never has that strong smell nail salons typically do), fair prices, and quality work. I don't go anywhere else for my nails.
I have been coming to this place for years, even before they moved into this current location! I love how when you walk in Tweety and her husband know your name and greet you as you sign in. The bad thing is they don't take appointments and are ALWAYS busy! Do not go unless you have time to wait around. With that being said it is awesome that you can sign in and the come back so you could get some shopping in instead of sitting around waiting. I have never had a bad experience thus far and this place will continue to be the best!

They were so kind and you can walk in you don't need to schedule an appointment. Me and my friend went together and they only had one person doing acrylic so we had to take turns but they were so kind about it. The quality is really good I got a fill and they are super sturdy. The vibe is so calm and quiet and they are super kind and will talk with you. read more
One of the first places I came back to after Covid closed the world. They have done a good job protecting the employees and the customers. It's hard, this is a service that requires close contact. But they do it well. They have new pedi chairs that are great. It's walk-in only I think. But they are great at remembering people. Easy parking. Update 102 2021 read more

I have never had my nails look worse... these are terrible and for 70$ I am just speechless. I tried to guide her to fix them and she wouldn't listen. I'm contemplating going to my regular salon to have them redo it all. Ugh. read more

I have been coming here for years and have always had excellent service. Tweety can meet you once and remember your name for the rest of her life. I don't go if I don't have a couple of hours to blow because they are really busy and they are busy because they have such a loyal following. Loyal following comes from the great service and excellent work they do. People are willing to wait. I have a specific person I ask for to do my pedis and Tweety always does my nails. Recently i have been giving her creative freedom to do whatever. I just tell her, I'm going on vacation so let's do something fun. Or if i just don't want to pick something out she does them whatever she's feeling that day. Also, no one touches my brows but Tweety. She does them perfect every time. I can't imagine anyone leaving a bad review and if they did I assure you it must have been an anomaly or a Karen. read more

I have been officially coming to Nail Studio for over a year now. Time flies! As a regular customer, I am still so very happy with time spent here. Somehow they manage to remember names of every returning client and they keep us all laughing, even if the wait is sometimes longer than we'd like. There is always decent parking and I have not once left unsatisfied. I just can't say enough about how awesome this business is. read more

It was so bad . I asked for french tip , the person put on the nail tip and called it a French tip , they were so very careless , was on the phone with someone the whole time , didn't even pay attention to me , they were watching the TV more then watching my nails , once they put the top coat on he didn't make sure it was all clear bc there is hair in one of my nails , they didn't size it properly bc I know for a fact my middle finger nail is NOT and shouldn't be the same size as my thumb . I'm so unhappy with my set that I now have to live with for at least a month . I'm not sure if they rotate people that work there but I was at table 6 !!! read more

Moment I walked in, the staff were super friendly and helpful. Only reason I didn't give 5 star for this review was because I had asked for almond shaped and they're a little rounder than i expected; and of course I noticed this after I left. And I think the gel powder set can be more thinned out in my opinion. Some fingers were great and very few were bit more bulky. Nonetheless, I felt very comfortable as a first timer and the place was packed and had customers coming in every 10min or so. I would definitely go back! read more

This is the best salon in its class, especially in the Tonawanda area. I have never received a better long lasting gel manicure in my life. The artists are absolute perfectionists, and absolutely kind and fun to be around. I am looking down at my nails that would typically be a chipped mess right now, and there is not a single flaw or sign of wear. I do TONS of dishes and my gel never lasts longer than a week, and my nails today a week later look like I just got them on. Because every regular knows that this is the best manicure around, the place is packed at all times of day. They do not take appointments because they do not want to deal with unhappy clients due to customer volume, and I don't blame them. I came mid-day and was in and out within an hour. They help you select your color based on a description of what you like, and they match you with a type of gel depending on what your nail behavior is. There is fun music playing, everyone is happy in here and I find this salon to be the best I have been to in Buffalo. I will go back happily again and again. read more
I came here before seeing all the reviews and honestly I like this place, they take care of you pretty quickly. My only suggestion would be instead of getting the Nu's pedicure I would get the deluxe it's 10 dollars cheaper and it's basically the same thing. I have done both. I give this place a 5 stars because it's clean, a lot of nail polish to choose from and it's a good price. Plus they give you a free beverage with pedicure. read more

I actually like this nail salon. It is convenient for me. The employees are usually nice... I got dip a month ago, I asked her for one extra coat. She said no they will loom to thick. They all cracked but 2 fingers in 3 days. So i did them myself. I didn't have the time with work travel so I went in and got a full set on and they were nice. I got a fill and the man text messaged the whole time and listen that's ok! We all have life and we are human but when can I leave a nail salon with out having to run home and file the sides of clear off my skin and the nail polish is not on the whole nail. It's a better place but not always. read more

What a JOKE. I had lukewarm water just sitting there. Never asked what type of pedicure I wanted never offered a drink despite everyone else being asked for one. Lady RUSHED through my pedicure. When I say ive never had a pedicure done in 20minute flat. Tools were not new or sealed just sitting in a basket. Used the same tools of my feet as on my nails. Don't even get me started on the manicure. By the time I realized the same lady was doing my nails I opted for just regular polish. She was upset clearly because she chopped my cuticles up to look all sorts of crazy. I look worse walking out then I did walking in! This is TERRIBLE read more

Oh this place!? AMAZING. Now let me tell you that i don't get my nails done often and the last few times i have i tried new places and was not happy at all. My friend Jessica found this gem though so total props to her! Clean, big and the staff is hilarious and super friendly! They do fantastic work as well, i got a gel manicure and so did my friend Jessica. I have had it for almost a week now and there are ZERO chips in my nails at all, they still look super shiny and new. I am SOOOOO impressed! I can not wait to go back to this place, i can not even express how happy i am. They made me feel very welcomed and helped me pick a great color for my nails! CC16! The prices are great as well 30 for gel polish and manicure, i think its only 20 if you just want the gel polish as well. It is kind of hidden right behind Trader Joe's so keep an eye out if you are looking for it. This place also used to be owned by someone else and has since then been taken over, don't be scared away by old bad reviews this place is highly recommended! read more

First time I went here, I went with a close friend for a pedicure. Amazing pedicure and service. I had previously went to another nail salon that butchered my nail and It was hurting due to It. One of their techs, Rachel offered to fix my nail and gave me some relief. Second time, I went I got the same tech and she was nothing but a great person with a great personality and always asked me what she could do for me and if I liked my nails which I appreciated. She takes the time to get to know her customers, their names, and always is giving suggestions on nail designs. And finally the third time I went for a fill and a pedicure, got Rachel and I knew she was going to do a great job and she delivered. She's the only person I will go to honestly in there. Only thing that is a con for me is that they don't take appointments just because I personally like to have a set schedule but anytime I go there someone is available and if not the wait is about 5-10 minutes. They still deserve 5 stars because of pricing, cleanliness, and customer service. read more

I've been searching far and wide for a decent nail place in Amherst and at last I have found one. Tucked awkwardly in The Boulevard Plaza between Trader Joes and Target (little off-shoot street by the Sprint store), I have been back three times and LOVE it there. At first I was worried about all the bad Yelp reviews but was quickly informed by one of the staff members that not one of those reviews reflects current management - the business shifted hands quite some time ago and has flourished ever since! Twice now, I've kept my gel manicure on as long as humanly possible, to the point that my nails were so grown out that it was beginning to look ridiculous. Not a single chip. No scratches. Perfect shape and perfect polish for three to four weeks after my manicure. I also tried the pedicure and felt like I got an incredible service for what I paid. While I'd consider the pricing average compared to other salons in the area, this has been by far the most reliable, enjoyable and clean. My favorite thing about this salon? The friendly and hilarious staff. You're greeted upon walking in the door and seated immediately after signing in. They make an effort to know and remember everyone's name and keep enjoyable conversation while you're getting your nails done - an almost unheard of perk! Conversation is casual, everyone in the salon seems to either be friends or family. Everyone seems to enjoy each other's company which is a HUGE difference from salons where the staff just yells at each other. Quality service, lasting results, and an enjoyable experience, Nail Studio & Spa is the only place I'll be getting my nails done from now on. read more
