pedicure was very painful they gave me the older lady of the family I think, she was really rough and she stabbed me a few times with a sharp object and never said sorry when I kept jumping my foot back from it hurting so bad after she was done I asked her how much was the total she said $60 I then handed her 3 20s and I walked to the rest room when I walked back out decided to still give her a tip after I didn't feel like the service was good enough for one and I always tip. I still went to hand her $5 and I turned around and a guy was acting as if I didn't pay Im not sure of what their conversation was while I was in the bathroom wiping my toe off from the blood from her stabbing me but it seemed as though she told him I didn't pay I said sir I just handed her a tip of $5 I already gave her $60 before I just went to use the bathroom is everything ok? like what did she tell you for you to ask me was I paying her I said I already paid her i was being nice and tipping and even then I heard no "thank you" from him for me even deciding to tip her I have never felt so humiliated in my life and I was actually conside ring this location to be a permanent place for me since Im only 5mins away but no I'll never be back I am truly hurt behind this experience but I blame me for trying to branch out and try new places please do better read more

They have great staff they're all very friendly but I wouldn't come back here due to it being overpriced and not doing a good job on my pedi. I asked her to make my acrylic round and she used toe nail clippers to cut the sides and it looks horrible it's not rounded out at all the sides are just clipped I wish I kept it square.. Every nail tech here does an excellent job. I have frequented Kim's for the last two years and have yet to be disappointed. The best nail tech is Grandma but she only does gel nails. I wish she didn't have to work at all. She dutifully attends to every customer with kindness and great care. Kim is great and I feel bad I was absent for so long during COVID. They all work quickly with respect to neatness, and accuracy. I have yet to encounter an issue getting an appointment and have only had great service here. i had a fill 4 days ago and all of my nails were lifting and popping off. i am extremely disappointed. i called asking for my money back they said no and they didn't know what i was doing to get my nails to pop off, a fill should not last 4 days. read more

I got my nails done here for a wedding I'm in this weekend. They charged me $50 for a gel fill. Gel chipped in 2 days. I returned to the salon on my way out of town for the wedding and asked for it to be fixed for the wedding, I didn't mind paying just wanted it fixed. They said it would be over an hour wait to fix one nail. When I told them I couldn't wait an hour they said there was nothing they could do and proceeded to completely ignore me while I was standing at the counter. Not willing to compromise at all. I found myself with a couple hours to kill on a Tuesday afternoon. Not wanting to return to the office (it was only 4pm) and not ready to head home, I decided to find someplace local for a much needed manicure/pedicure. Kim's is nice sized and adequately staffed. They are open every day except Sunday, opening at 9am and have fairly late hours. 10% discount for paying in cash. There is street parking, a small parking lot in back, but the employees say they park in the store lot down from them and suggested I park there next time as well. There were several other customers already in the shop, but I was immediately greeted, signed in, and seated at a nail tech's station. I asked for a gel manicure and a spa pedicure. I was a little surprised that they did the manicure first, but realized later that the girl who did the pedicure was with another client, so instead of having me wait, they moved on to my other services. I appreciate that. The manicure was done very well. 3 of the staff helped me select a nail polish for my pedicure that most closely matched the very unique pink sparkly color that I had chosen from their EXTENSIVE selection of gel polishes. They have all of their polishes numbered (opi, etc not just the gel polish) and I suggested it might make sense to match the gel polish numbers with their regular polish counterparts during their slow time so that it would be easier/faster to help a client pick "exactly" the right color so the fingers and toes match (an absolute must!). The owner (?) agreed that was a very good idea. Not sure if they will actually do it or not, but at least I felt like a valued customer. The pedicure was very good. Very relaxing and worth the wait. The girl who did it was very sweet and eager to please. Gel manicure, pedicure, and eyebrow wax (with cash discount) was $67. I was not offered the special $45 combo price for mani/pedi probably because I opted for the gel manicure. The price was still very reasonable and in line with what I pay at the salon/spa where I normally go. I spent 2 hours getting services, which is a little longer than usual (mostly drying time for the toes since they were done last), but I didn't feel forgotten or rushed, so that's worth an extra couple of minutes. This was a great find and I love that it's not too far from home for those days when I need a nail fix, and fast. :-) read more

I wanted to like this place but it was dirty and way to expensive I got a pedi and gel manicure and it was 75 dollars and it already chipped (it's been one day..) additionally, my toes were clipped to short and she missed polish on part of my nail. There are other places that will cost you the same amount and you will get much better service. read more

Went there for the 1st time, and I wont be returning, friendly staff, but the overall look of the place is very off-putting, Very small, not clean, A bed was in sight, with a dirty sheet, and police tap saying Do Not Enter threw a door, the man who did my nails was extremely friendly but did a very subpar job, I had to have another woman REDUE my nails before i left. I have gone to a few places for lash extensions and this is by and far the best yet. I was promptly greeted and didn't wait at all before my appointment, which is awesome. Kim took me into a separate room and made sure she knew exactly how I wanted my lashes--personally trimming lashes for me to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. She also attaches each lash individually without "clumping" lashes, and sells mascara specially made for lash extensions. Prices and time were great, about 50 min for a full fill--I couldn't ask for more! I will update this post once I find out how long I can go between fills. Kim is the best kept secret in Buffalo, hands down. read more

The place was clean and my wait was short, but the man doing my pedicure didn't do a good job. He drained my foot water too early, so when he applied the scrub to my feet and legs, he had no way to wash it off. So he decided to just apply lotion on top of the sugar scrub and rub it in. I left with a bunch of dry sugar all over my legs and feet. The paint job on my toes was also unsatisfactory. Would not go again, thankfully I'm from out of town. read more

Came in on a Thursday morning and had no problem getting a walk in appointment for a pedicure. The staff is very friendly and did a good massage/paint job. The only complaint I have is that there aren't a lot of regular nail polish colors to choose from but there are a ton of gel polishes. read more

Ok, so basically I got my nails done here on 4/22/18 two days after 420 ;). When I walked in I noticed there was three dogs. First off I felt bad for the dogs because they had to smell that terrible acrylic all day!!! The lady that did my nails was fairly old and she was huffing and puffing the whole time. It seemed like she didn't want to be there. She also looked like she was falling asleep!!!! Also the nails on my right hand are more round and short than the nails on my left hand. When I was picking out my nail color she was rushing me, and tried picking them out for me which was annoying because if I'm going to have these nails on for weeks I would like a color that I love. The best nail shop I've ever been to , I got my nails done for prom and they looked just like the picture I showed the girl. I've had them on for about a week now and they're still perfect pretty much and they've gone through a lot from doing dishes to cooking. They were all super nice there and listened to detail. I purposely held off on coming here because 3 stars doesn't read too well for business in Buffalo but when I searched a different engine they had 4 stars! And take appointments! I don't generally enjoy the fancy, whitewashed, boutique salons that try really hard but never actually achieve the desired look. When Kim's accepted two appts last minute on a friday for saturday morning, I was so pleased! My mom and I went in to get gel manicures. The polish choices for gel are blended in with a bunch of other non-gel samples, so Mom had a bit of a hard time finding the color she had in mind that would be gel. When they got it right, they really did! She loves her mani and wow did I enjoy mine too! I work with my hands so I was elated when she gave me a hand and arm massage at length afterwards. They weren't too chatty, did not push any other services and had us out in 45 min! We will definitely be returning to this salon. Do not let the 3 stars fool you! Saw them doing acrylics that looked GREAT and even though my hands are in solutions all day, my gel and mani are still in perfect condition! Over a week later! read more

I made an appointment for manicure and pedicure but the place is a free for all. I had to wait 25 mins until I was taken and never got time for the manicure. My pedicure was so-so. My nails are u evenly trimmed and the polish is covering some cuticles. Maybe it was the guy who did it because there were people there that seemed to be regulars. If you are on a schedule skip it. Overpriced. Was taken right away for pedicure and gel manicure. The shaping of the Nail and the pedicure was fine but the painting was not good. It took over an hour and a half for her to finish. 60 dollars, every other place I have tried in Buffalo is 50. We will see how long the gel lasts. I am a big fan of the Eyelash Extensions. I had a full set done at a salon. I needed a fill for a party I was attending. My normal girl at the salon couldn't fit me in at the last minute. A co-worker suggested I try Kim at Kim nails. I was kind of skeptical because it was a nail shop and I wanted my lashes done correctly. I decided to try Kim Nails. When I called for a last minute appointment Kim was happy to make the appointment for the same day. When arriving at Kim's I was greeted with a smile and asked if I could be helped. I was early for my appointment because I wanted to get a look at the Nail shop it was nice and clean and has a clean separate room for lashes. When Kim introduced herself to me I asked her how long she has been doing Eyelash Extensions? She said "five years". Kim took me into a nice clean room told me to lie down on the nice comfortable table and she proceeded to fill in my lashes. The experience was awesome and so relaxing. When Kim was done with my lashes they were gorgeous. I loved them. I will be returning for another lash fill. I love the 10% discount if you pay with cash. Can't bet that. read more

Very small and not clean. I watched them clean a tub with just Lysol, no scrubbing at all. They were extremely inattentive. I went with a friend for a pedicure. She and i waited over 20 minutes to sit and there were four chairs open. I sat there with my feet in cold water for almost an hour before they even started my pedicure. I was about to dry my feet an walk out. I paid $30.00 for lack of detail when painting my toes, cold water and the worst scrub and two second massage on my feet. Worst fill ever! Uneven nail acrylic coverage, looks lumpy, uneven nail polish coverage, top clear coat was slapped on and doesn't cover nail color. Took way to long for a fill as well. They knew they messed up one nail, tried to fix it and it still looks terrible. Charged too much for this nail job. I want to rip my acrylic nails off because they are that bad. read more
