I was apprehensive of walking in & making an appointment the day before my actual visit based upon other reviews... however, when I arrived, I was remembered. After waiting for one of 3 working techs to finish with a customer, I was led to a pedi bath to get started. I didn't get my tech's name; she never offered it. Despite having my chosen polish color sitting at the station, she questioned if that was the color I wanted. The water temperature wasn't as warm as I expected and it was adjusted. I already had short toenails, so there wasn't much that needed to be done in the way of cutting, but she definitely left much to be desired when it came to callus removal. I have sensitive feet so I can get twitchy with the foot grater. I was upset when I got home to see that I still had large calluses on each big toe. (I planned my pedicure for the day before departing for a trip & I wouldn't be able to have it corrected before having to leave.) The ultimate pedicure experience is presently listed at $85 and after tipping, it was disappointing to feel like I had an incomplete experience. I'm pleased with my gel polish choice, the cleanliness of the salon and its convenient location. Perhaps I need a more experienced tech? Okay, so I was here a few years ago and had great service. However, it appears things have changed. I made an appointment in early January for a Saturday. I came in for my appointment, and was told I didn't make it. I said I called on X date, at X time and they pretty much accused me of lying. I understand this is a popular place, but I know it's important to make an appointment, so I did. When I asked if they had any availability, she rolled her eyes at me and told me I should have made an appointment. This nail salon made sure you used hand sanitizer when you came in and I noticed they cleaned surfaces very often. I did dipped nails and a regular pedicure. I really liked the person who did my dipped nails. Luis was very caring by asking how I wanted my nails in detail. Making sure if I liked the color, length of nails and extra coat of color. Had scheduled an appointment 3 weeks ago as they are currently appointment only for a gel manicure. I understand mistakes happen however I remember my nail tech writing down my appointment and giving me the pictured card. He wasn't there this evening however a lady was. She was so rude when she told me she had no appointment for me, didn't offer an apology, to squeeze me in or to even reschedule my appointment. I came here because of the great reviews (and I was in the area looking for a mani). And I'll probably come back, even though it's out of my way. The employees are super pleasant and both my mani and pedi were good. They have a book with clearly outlined descriptions of each type of pedi, which was great. I didn't think their (level two) pedi was as good as some others in the area, but could have been the tech. That's why I'm willing to give that a second chance. The mani was very good, mostly done while letting my feet soak, so awkward for the tech, but they turned out well. This is the first place in Buffalo that actually took a little off the mani price because I don't do polish, not even clear. Finally a place that knocks the price down a little as a result. That's not what got them the fifth star, but it did solidify the rating. This place is super clean. The employees seem happy. The customers certainly are. I called ahead to see if they would be able to squeeze me in for a pedi. They provided excellent customer service and were very accommodating. The staff here is very friendly and helpful. The salon was clean and it's evident that they are closely adhering to local guidelines set into place due to the pandemic. There is a sign on the door politely asking everyone to use hand sanitizer before they even sign in. There was a divider between myself and the customer in the chair next to me. Everyone was wearing a mask and there are clear plastic dividers between the nail techs and customers at the manicure tables. I have a nail salon that I frequented before the pandemic started but I have been looking for one closer to where I live. I was impressed by my experience here at Nail Envy and I can definitely see myself coming back here again. I recommend that you check it out for yourself as well! read more

Great place! Really happy with the quality and friendly, efficient service. Scheduling ahead is a must: the salon is constantly busy, and the phone rings frequently with new appointment requests. Gel product selection is high-quality (CND, OPI, Cuccio, DND, etc) and the manicure process is thorough: I left with nails I'm proud of and that I expect to last 3 weeks, tidy cuticles, and soft skin. I haven't tried any really outrageous nail art, but I was pleased with the simple design I requested. I especially liked that they give you a personal nail file and buffer in a bag; you need to bring it with you each appointment, but that's a great way to ensure a sterile manicure. They also offer dip nails ($40), acrylics, pedicures, and waxing, but I'm a gel/nail art devotee and can only speak to the quality of that service. read more

This was my first time here and I am very satisfied with my nails! I called on a Saturday morning at 10am (they start at 10 on Saturday mornings) and I was very surprised to hear that there were already 5 people waiting! I rushed over simply because I hate when it gets crowded at any location im in. When I got there, I had to sign in and indicate what services I wanted and whether or not I had booked an appointment. Then you pick your nail color off the polish rack, which is towards the back of the salon. I was a walk-in and waited just about 10 min before they saw me. The lady who worked on my nails was Jenny. She was very pleasant and truly cared about her work. She asked if I was doing okay and if I liked the job she was doing so far. I came in for an acrylic full set and French tips ($30). I had mentioned I wanted an acrylic full set, but failed to mention I also wanted the French top design. I apologized for not letting her know and she started over on one hand with no hesitation or attitude. Jenny is awesome! I was also given a bag with some nail filers to bring back. If you forget, its a $1 charge, which they advise you of when they give you the bag. Overall, I am very happy with the level of customer service, the cleanliness of the salon, and of course my nails. This is my favorite place to get my pedi &mani's in the Buffalo Suburbs. They are professional, efficient and run a tight ship. I highly recommend that you make appointments prior to stopping in. After reading all the positives I was a let down. This is the first time a shop has a 3 price level for pedicures! Never heard of such a thing! From very basic @ $25 - $30 - $35, they go up. Basic was VERY basic. Also extra care was not given to large toenail which all operators have always done for me w/o asking. In addition, next day I had to remove my ingrown toenail which all previous operators did for me again, with their perfecting work, & w/o asking. The operator also seemed to hold it against me because the plastic sink cover broke -- as if I reached down & cut it. Haphazard job @ best, with strange pricing I will not return. read more

Let's face it, there's a walk in nail salon on every street corner. Finding one close isn't hard, but finding a good one (that you'll want to go back to) is another thing. Everything about this place was great - convenient location, great customer service, SUPER clean! , tons of color choices (and not the 50 cent looking brands) and they use NEW implements on each client. Nothing at all like those gross places that grab out files, buffers and pumice that look like they just came off another persons feet with the fresh white nail residue (ew). The chairs are very comfortable, and you get the time to actually relax in them because despite how busy they may be you don't feel rushed out. (Or rushed in I took 15 min to pick a selection of colors lol) I got the spa pedi ($35) ... I'd say for the service it was worth the money, the products used felt nice afterward - didn't leave my legs feeling sticky or my feet sliding. I actually got a leg and foot massage that was enjoyable here - not a leg beating. The girl that worked on me helped me choose a color (I had 4 picked out lol) that would go best with my big toe designs (extra $5) ... I wanted similar to leopard print just for the fun of it ( I never get designs.. So figured why not) but I found a poison dart frog design on google and she tried it out for me. Overall polish job was awesome and the nail art was pretty good. You get your own nail kit as a first time client to bring back each time that way you have your own implements for them - if you forget to bring them I overheard it is a $1 charge? The best pedicure I've had in many years! I cannot say enough about the wonder, thorough, detail-oriented, pampering experience I had at Nail Envy. The owner was extremely gracious to start with. He was at the desk and polite. His caring manner and attention was very appreciated. Often I enter a salon and the staff is over-worked, curt, and somewhat dismissive. Not here! Yes, the man was busy, but he asked if we needed water, took the time to seat us and showed us where the many colors were to choose polish from. Then, the actual pedicure was amazing! The technician was extremely gentle, pampering and paid attention to every aspect of my foot. I've paid for at least 12 of my last pedicures and been unhappy with the results. OK, I'm picky! Either there were polish problems or the technician was not thorough and I still had rough spots on my feet. I left this time so satisfied that two months later my feet are still in a manageable state. I'm overdue for a visit, but I've been extremely busy, but dreaming of my soon to be upcoming return. read more

This was my first time here and I had a pretty poor experience. I had come at the recommendation of a friend, and after a really long day at work I just wanted to have someone paint my nails. My second job is in a fairly fancy retail store, so I have to/want to look polished. I had gel put on by another salon (I'm in the market for my go-to nail place) 10 days earlier, and it had started to pull up and snag from the bottom. It had also chipped. Because I was at my second job when I noticed this, I had to get the gel off as soon as possible. Yeah yeah I know you shouldn't pull gel off your nails, but it was necessary at the time and I knew I'd be getting them done soon. Fast forward to the end of a very long and stressful day, I drove out of my way to check this place out. First thing first, definitely make an appointment as Walk Ins are NOT prioritized. Also, they had what I felt was a very small number of staff working for that particular time of day (Saturday around 3pm). When I walked in, they asked what I wanted (simple gel polish, no manicure). They told me it would be about a half hour. Totally fine, I didn't have an appointment and I needed a break to just sit and not think. An hour later, they finally take me. My whole service took less than 15 minutes, and the gentleman who did my nails made me feel very dumb because I had taken the previous gel off myself. He scolded me, and when he asked what shape I wanted for my natural nails I told him I was growing them out. He then filed them down to below my finger tips. He also only used two coats of gel, so the polish doesn't feel strong and I can see through the color. I normally ask for three coats, but I felt intimidated and not comfortable enough to ask this from him. Additionally, he gave me a zip lock bag with a file and a buffer that he told me to keep and bring back next time. He said if I didn't bring the bag with me next time, he'd charge me. No problem, as I'm not going to go there ever again. All in all, this was a really crap experience after a really crap day. I'm upset that I have to live with this really poor polish job for the next week or so, enough to the point that I'm actually yelping about it. read more

Yesterday was my first time at Nail Envy and I left a happy customer! I liked how they offered the option to skip the manicure part and just get gel polish for $10 cheaper than a gel manicure. The woman doing my nails was very friendly and very particular to make my nails look the best as possible. She checked over my nails more than any other salon I have been to! I do wish they had TVs though to pass the time for someone who came into the salon alone. Every guest that walked in seemed to have an appointment but no one had to wait in the waiting area because the staff worked like clockwork! Once one client was done, the next one came in. This time I did book an appointment for a Saturday morning and Anna gave me a gel manicure. They supply you a tool bag for free your first time with a file, nail buffer, etc. My nails look great and I couldn't be more happy about the attention to detail she put into a simple manicure. This is the best pedicure I have had since I moved to Buffalo 6 years ago. Upon walking in I immediately noticed how clean and bright it is. Everyone working was smiling and friendly. I picked out a color among so many choices and sat down. I waited no more than 5 mins but people were starting to pour in which is always a good sign for a great place. I was taken to a chair with a great massage option. From start to finish the tech asked if I was comfortable, if the water was warm enough, and if I was ok with what part of the process was being performed. Talk about sticking out like a sore thumb, this was the greeting I received when I stepped into the place! I felt very uncomfortable. One of the workers briefly greeted me, then referred me to someone else whom I informed of the services I wanted which was a shellac manicure.
