I've been here a number of times over the years and have always been satisfied with the nails that I've gotten. I've done manicures and pedicures, both for myself and as social outings with friends. I do like going on Sundays when the Bills game is on. That makes for a fun time. A note that Sundays are cash only though, so good to know that in advance. (They have an ATM.) I had my nail here on a regular with bury good and bad experiences. The nail techs are ALL good! It seems like To y hires ANYONE to fill a vacancy! My nails were awful! I get a GEL FILL instead of an acrylic fill due to an allergy I have. Not ALL the techs not how to do the GEL FILL.so I get one that claims they do, but (NOT REALLY)! My nails chip crack PEEL etc within a DAY of having them done! Paying $75.00 plus a tip and having them look AWFUL without a design even , then PEEL the next day or evening that NIGHT is seriously CONCERNING! I call to get them fixed and that's not a problem, until you get there. You get ATTITUDE from the staff as if iwas YOUR fault that happened! It not only happened to me, my daughter as well! I asked for a glass of wine as the tech FIXED my nails, she said ( WE DON'T GIVE WINE TO A REPAIR...) WHAT????? As if!!! Tony did indeed give it to me, but he too was COLD and STANDOFFISH! Very disappointing. Going into the back room which looks more like storage to get eyebrows waxed is also a turnoff. I honestly wanted to make a good review because the employees and the owners are really nice. Unfortunately, was not thrilled with my service. I had went in to get a fill. Now my nails did look beautiful, but unfortunately, it had no acrylic on them. With that being said three of my acrylic tips broke off. I returned today to get them fixed, now I have three stiletto nails to go with the rest of my seven almond nails. I had been there prior and their pedicures are great, but the last time I also got my nails done. I was unhappy. I cried my entire car ride home because it was the second time I had went there and not been happy with the outcome in less than 24 hours. I payed 60 dollars for a GEL pedicure and the gel already came off. I got this three days ago. All I did go in the shower and stay at home. I payed an extra 20 dollars for gel polish which is more than an actual bottle of the gel they are using. This is my favorite nail salon in Buffalo! All of the staff are very friendly. I am always greeted as soon as I walk in and they seat me within minutes whether I have an appointment or not. The owners are very friendly and are always joking around when I'm in there. There are plenty of pedicure seats and they always offer me a drink while I'm getting a pedicure which is super nice. The ONLY thing keeping this place from getting a 1 star is the kindness and hospitality of the technician working on my youngest....my technician was rude and lazy. My older daughter got completely rushed and treated like she was on a conveyor belt in a factory. The water was cold for all. My technician was the absolute worst. I got my pedicure specifically to have dry skin removed on my big toe that I didnt want to deal with....not only was my pedicure only about 5 mins more that my 6 yr olds tiny feet but whenI asked her to remove the dry skin on my toe she said 'no. im not doing that today'.....so what am i paying you for? she barely even scrubbed my feet let alone a real pedicure. TL;DR: Not a good experience. Poor service and quality. Will not return. I called early afternoon on a Sunday to make an appointment for a men's manicure, trim, file, and buff only (no colour, acrylic, or gel). I was asked my preferred time and told to just come in. I was not given any other information (remember this). When I arrived, there was some debate over who would be available. Someone was selected to provide my service. She jokingly asked me to pick a colour, which I politely declined, explaining I wanted my nails natural. This was amusing the first time she asked, but not by the third. She also asked me about a pedicure several times, which I declined as this is my first time at this salon. The service itself was not enjoyable. She did not have padding to put my hands on, so my hands were placed on on a jar of nail product and a plastic box. She often slipped with her nail board and jabbed my other hand. I have an odd-shaped finger from a childhood accident and she did not pay attention to this, filing down the nail to the point where it was uneven and hurt. This is the first time this has happened in all the years I've had manicures. She did not use clean-looking tools, grabbing files, nail clippers, and cuticle nippers from around her desk or in her drawer. They did not come from an autoclave bag or sterile container and looked used. I asked for a paraffin treatment but they had run out. She told me I had "lots of dead skin" on my nails and clipped them too much around the nail, leaving them looking over-clipped and ragged. I typically have a manicure every 2-3 weeks, so I was curious as to how this build-up might occur. She used a board on my nails to smooth them which left them looking dull and unfinished. She asked me if I wanted top-coat, and I politely declined and asked for a buff. I was informed that they did not have a nail buffer in the salon. I received a half-hearted hand massage, which was shorter than I normally have, but at this point I was thankful because I just wanted to leave. When I went to pay, I was told they do not accept credit or debit cards on Sundays, which was not mentioned to me when I called earlier in the day. I was told to use their store ATM. I tried, but it was empty. I was requested to pay with Zelle, which I don't have. I asked if I could use Venmo, which they were able to do. I paid and tipped, left, and bought a $3 buffer from CVS. I just moved to Buffalo and was looking for a new salon for regular manicures and pedicures. Unfortunately, I will not be returning to AP Nail Spa, so my search continues. I don't like going just anywhere because now salons can often be overpriced or not very clean so I used reviews to find a good one and this was one of the most highly rated places so I gave them A call! They made an appointment for me but they also take walk-ins although I did have to wait about a half hour after I got there before I was seen but they were very busy. Well this was my second time here and let's just say it was absolutely not "relaxing" at all. I don't even know the name of the guy who did my fill but during the process of using the tool to thin out my nail he went all the way down and burned me and covered it up with some more acrylic.. ouch. Okay he said he was sorry but still he cut me and covered it. Moving on from that the gel polish is so uneven he didn't let it dry properly under the light and wiped most of it off leaving streaks and nicks in the polish. My acrylics were also filed down pretty short & completely uneven. I just felt like overall it was not a good feeling walking out of that nail salon.. Update: The owner did reach out to me and redid my nails. He is super nice and did a much nicer job, very well appreciated how tony treats his customers! This nails are now peeling after one day.
