Well, i have found a new nail place that i can finally call home. I'm use to going to Apple Nails on the boulevard, but they don't have much of a selection. So i took to Yelp and as per usual was not disappointed. This salon is newly owned by Tony, great guy, very talkative and interactive. I went in for an acrylic fill with gel nail polish, and treated myself to the mysterious "cat eye" nail. I was taken care of by Tony (not the owner), he was very gentle, and meticulous. This salon is a bit dirty. They are open on Sunday but don't accept debit or credit cards then you have to use their atm machine. I don't typically get my nails done but when I do I want a very nice natural look and I usually go to the same person but today she wasn't available so I decided to go somewhere new BAD MOVE! I thought if I went in with a picture and showed my nails technician specifically what I wanted they would be able to easily achieve my desired style. WRONG! My nails are more blocky and thicker than the picture I showed her and she still decided to do her own shape after showing her the picture of how I wanted my nails. Some reviews stated they felt rushed and though they worked fast and had a lot of clients, they were very thorough and detail oriented! I went for a full set and waited a few days to see how the nails held up before writing this review (to see if there would be any nail breakage/lifting/etc). I got exactly what I wanted and the guy who did my nails was very gentle (made sure not to overfile/cut me). My whole set with gel was about $50, which is super reasonable. I looked for a shop opened on a Sunday, and found this one. So glad I did! I made an appointment for a pedicure. My feet were long over due. As I was sitting there, I asked if I could get a manicure. They were very happy to comply. The same girl (I can't remember her name) did both. I have incredibly weak nails, and all different lengths. I don't mind that at all. I asked for gel polish. She talked me into dip. Best decision ever. She was correct that it would make my nails stronger. She explained the process, was very professional. The owner made sure I was happy with the service. WORST SERVICE EVER! I came in asking for a pedicure and full set w manicure. They did the pedicure first. The woman who did my pedicure was incapable of anything other than a solid polish. No design. No French. No nothing. Just solid polish. The guy they sent me to do my nails with REFUSED to cut my cuticles before doing my nails insisting it would MESS UP NY CUTICLES. I've been getting my nails done like this FOR YEARS and have NEVER had this issue. I then told him how I wanted my nails (clear and white ombré w gold drip polish on the tips) and he said he couldn't do it. He directed me to the owner. I sat in the chair even longer waiting for the owner. When I told him what I wanted, he also said he couldn't do it. I said, you didn't even TRY! You could at least do the ombré and TRY the drip on one nail. Then if that's no good, we can change the plan and figure out a different design. He told me "there ain't no changing the plan, honey." And basically REFUSED to do my nails!!! Wow!!!! I'm EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED in this place. ------------------ Actually, you did NOT take good care of my mother. You did decent work with cheap product and now less than 24 hours later, her gel polish is coming off in the shower. You charged her an arm and a leg for your work and didn't even do a good job. The issues here are NOT kindness. The issues are your LACK of professionalism, customer service, lack of flexibility, and quality of work. I went to another shop later that day and the young lady looked at what I wanted and did a BEAUTIFUL job. SHE was kind, professional, TALENTED, flexible and was SMART enough to have an OPEN MIND and LOOK at what I wanted before saying no. You should REALLY work on your English and communication skills. I wanted to like this place with all the good reviews and because he's so nice. Plus I wanted to justify spending $60 on nails, but it's a mess. When we were there they completely forgot to do my friends nails, my nails kept popping off during the service (a bad sign), and he made them waaaay longer than I asked for. I wasn't happy but they seemed busy and I was already there for 2 hours. Been 3 days and all my nails are popping off. I put some back on with a drugstore nail glue and they're way more secure than what I paid $60 for. Not even going to bother calling back and getting it fixed at this point. Gonna try filing them down until I get the chance to go somewhere else this weekend. 2 stars for pretty nail design and personable staff, but I've gotten much better quality nails way cheaper. first time i had a good experience but this time not so good...after my 1st visit ever to this shop on oct 27 2021 (which was pleasurable) i revisited the them... I went back for services on 11/10/2021 as i needed a pedicure and a polish change..i asked for bill as he did an exceptional job the 1st time i went, but; this time he seemed aggravated..he didnt talk much he didnt smile and when i was having a problem with the massager that kept shutting off after 1 minute, he seemed to get aggravated, when i voiced my concerns about it.. as he was changing my nail polish i told him i would be back the nx week so that i can have the acrylic removed and put a fresh coat of overlay..and he responded "well anyone here can help you" and i said "but i like the way you work, you just need to smile more" ..and tony jokingly said "well he smiles depending on how his morning goes with his wife" that was that and again he did an awesome job... so i then returned today 11/16/2021 as i needed service on 1 nail as the acrylic had lifted and i was in pain and when i walked in bill looked at me as if he saw a ghost and when i said hello to him he didnt acknowledge me or ask me what i needed...then tony asked and as i explained, he said i needed an appt and that i can come back at 5pm, so i left because i couldnt wait 45 minutes ..i was broken hearted as i really wanted my nails done there as i know i was 100% satisfied 2x even tho bill seemed like he didnt want to service me.. so i went down the street to AB nails there i was greeted and taken care of right away..i was able to get a pedicure and i had the old acrylic removed from my nails and had dip polish as well... after tip and purchasing a couple products i spent $128.00 but it sure was worth it.. I called the owner because I am the Maid of Honor in a wedding this weekend. I was looking for place to bring the bride but we had to be there at 9:30 because we had a dress fitting immediacy following. AP doesn't open till 10, but they called their staff in to come in early for us. They are so sweet and accommodating. The place is clean and well kept. The owner made us a ginger and honey tea and truly pampered us. They made for a relaxing experience two days before the wedding. We are so glad we came and will definitely be returning. read more

Tried this salon it today today for my first time and also my first time getting dip polish. The staff was very friendly, efficient with time, and got costumers in and out as fast as they could. They are first come first serve and very fair about it. With two girls ahead of me I waited about 15 minutes before I got taken care of which wasn't bad at all and way less time then I expected for how busy it was.They have literally tons of colors for both dip, gel, and regular polish. I am obsessed with my nails. I think the gentleman that did my nails was named Tony and he did an amazing job! They are shaped perfectly and exactly what I wanted. The polish on my toes is even chipping and that last for a month even during the summer. Literally it's been under 48 hours. Didn't even hold up for the 4th of July which is what I had them redone for. Also, it's not advertised on their site but they're cash only on Sunday. Do not get a dip manicure from here- I have been multiple times and 3/4 times it has chipped within 1-2 days. Additionally, there is no continuity in regards to what I can schedule over the phone. When I tried to schedule with the nail tech who did a great job, I was told that I could not schedule with specific techs (which isn't true). On a separate occasion, I was also told they weren't working that day which also wasn't true. I have also been told that I can't schedule over the phone (even after scheduling multiple times over the phone). I got a basic gel pedicure which is starting at $50 and a short gel full set for $45 , unbelievably super over priced for an OKAY/ mediocre job and the place isn't even that nice inside so I don't understand why so expensive if it's not luxurious.
