I have been to almost every nail studio in the area. I don't get my nails done often but I like getting pedicures especially in the summer. This is the best studio by far. They have never "nicked" me or left any marks on me. They do very nice work. I got a manicure last time I went and I was very pleased. I've gotten several pedicures with my mom and we have both loved them. Only suggestion is to make an appointment; it is a small place and the schedule fills up quickly. read more

My nails got done, but the cuticles were bloody. The technician was not wearing gloves and not very hygienic with my open wound. When I went to pay, I was told that they prefer cash. I said I had to pay with a credit card. Not a great experience, I will not be returning. read more

They say walk ins welcome. A woman came to the door and asked what did we need. When I said just manicure, he said pedicure--I said no manicure. He said for both? I said no just one. Now if they were booked there should have been no questions when first asked. He should have immediately said "we are booked". He asked what, how many and pedicure and then said they were booked after looking us up and down. I'm not sure why he needed to know of it was 2 needed or 1 when you don't have any openings. It was clearly racially motivated. There is no other excuse. I wasn't going to leave a comment but thought I should because others had the same experience. Take your money elsewhere and spend it where you are respected. read more

We are not from the area, and we really needed a manicure. It was my sisters birthday and I have a bachelorette party this weekend so I called and they got us in for two gel manicures. I had Dana, she was kind, professional and absolutely sweet! She was so gentle and my nails came out amazing! Thank you, Dana! You made my day! read more

$60 for spa pedicure. Fastest pedicure I've ever had in my life. Not relaxing. When I get a pedi I expect it to be 45-60 min and this was done in 30. Not very good a callous removal. I have only one callous spot and she did not attend to it at all. Overall the pedicure looks great, I just don't like to be turned and burned. Oh! And no lotion in the end. Every pedicure I've had gives you a nice application of lotion massaged in. No lotion. read more

It took me 3 years to find a nice nail place in buffalo and this one was it!! i'm from nyc and go to school here in Buffalo and one thing i realized is that it is hard to find a nail salon that has reliable nails and can match the design you want. If you are looking for a clean nail salon with good customer service I would highly recommend Lotus. I love that they take appointments and you can book the appointments online. Their salon is clean and their staff is friendly and they stick to their appointment times. I have been to other salons that don't take appointments and it drives me crazy when there is a hour wait every time. This is when I truly appreciate the organization at Lotus. They offer appointments and they will tell a walk in a honest time frame or say they are booked today but we could schedule you in tomorrow or another day. I had a appointment booked for today for 2:30 they took me right away when I came in at 2:20. Their time management also keeps the salon a relaxing environment. I got a full set of acrylic nails with the gel overlay. The appointment lasted for about an hour and a half. The technician was meticulous with every step of the process ensuring the length, shape, and color was perfect. My nails came out great! Their prices are average in the area. Their menu offers regular manicure, gels, dip and acrylic. They only take cash. For me this a little annoying since I pay for everything with a card but they do have an ATM in the salon. They also offer a free beverage and they have cell phone chargers and holders for customers to use while getting their nails done. I will definitely be back! read more

I yelped nail salons by rating, and this is what came up first, and it deserves it!!! They answered the phone immediately, and offered to stay late to accommodate me without making it sound like an inconvenience or a special favor. And I have never had such a well done manicure in all my life! The service was excellent, friendly staff, reasonable pricing, and during the pandemic while I was there they took excellent precautions for customers. Since my appointment was like I saw them meticulously cleaning the store. They deserve their #1 rank! read more

Quality has definitely been sacrificed for quantity here. Used to be a great place and my go to, but now everything is so rushed and none of the nail techs are very gentle or nice to be honest. The straw that broke the camels back was when it took an HOUR to take my acrylics off, when their website takes 15 minutes. The reason for this was they had me soak my nails in a bowl of acetone for 50 minutes. 10 different people there after worked on taking off the nails. Instead of having one person file my nails down and take them off with the help of acetone, I was there for an hour with my hands looking awful and dry afterwards. I'm so upset as this was one of the best salons in my area for a while and used to have great manicures. Sadly, the quality and customer service is too bad that I will not be going back. read more

I brought my sister here for a little girls' day pampering and I'm very pleased! I was actually brought here by other Yelp reviews (thanks guys!). The pedicure: We opted for the Lotus Signature Pedicure which runs at $45. Nice experience. No complaints there. The manicure: $35 for this one I think. We both got gel manicures. No special hand treatment, just some cuticle work, polish and some lotion at the end. Also no complaints. The two girls that did our services were very sweet and a lot gentler than any other place I've gone to. My sister got Vivian and I got Kim..definitely recommend them both! The only reason why I gave four instead of five stars was the price and the fact that they are cash only here. I'm glad I thought to bring cash just in case, but it would be nice if they switched over to credit cards also. I'm pretty sure they allowed another lady to pay by card but I'm not sure what the deal was. Either way, super happy! read more

I have no idea why this place has anything less than 5 stars? I came here for the first time with my sister and my mom. I got a dip manicure and a spa pedicure. They have an online booking website which is VERY convenient. This place really goes above and beyond with trying to make it convenient for the customer. They are easy to talk to, the salon is CLEAN, free water bottle or pop, coffee available, phone chargers at nail stations. Not to mention they have a great polish selection and their work is impeccable!!! I'm sorry but you can't ask for anything more! Just book, you won't be disappointed. read more

Dropped in on Lotus recently without an appointment, and was pleasantly greeted. We did have to wait about 20 minutes but then my daughter and I sat down for pedicures that were very relaxing and worth the wait. We did get the basic pedicure and were surprised that it included a leg massage and hot towel wrap . They prefer cash, actually were only willing to let me pay with credit because it was my first visit, but I did end up paying with cash and they do have an ATM in the store. read more

I decided to get acrylic nails done after 4 years of not having them and I'm absolutely blown away!! I felt a little embarrassed to take out my phone and ask for something I saw on Pinterest, but Vivian was up for the challenge! She saw details I didn't even know about. All I could think was, " why didn't I come here earlier?" Prices are fantastic and the exact same as you book an appointment. Everyone was super friendly and I felt extremely comfortable there. I also really like that everyone has to have an appointment! Covid is still a very real thing and it's refreshing to go to a business that understands and accepts this. I cannot stop talking about how fantastic my visit was! I will only go here to get my nails done and you should too! read more

First time here. I'm in town for the holidays and I've tried all the nail places in North Tonawanda on previous visits with no success. This place in NF seems to be the winner. I like a basic manicure - short and square with slightly rounded edges. I don't need a spa experience. Just good nails when I leave and this is the place. Prices are reasonable but they are a cash place (ATM available). They have a nice selection of regular polishes and a enough gels to get you the color you want. The young lady who did my mani/pedi was very nice and made sure I was happy with the shape before putting on color. A slight tweak of the edges was all I needed. The edges of the Polish are clean and I expect this to grow out nicely. Oh. And the pedicure chairs are great. read more

Very impressed with this salon and had a great experience here. When you walk in, the salon is welcoming and they have an ipad for you to use to sign in. You select the service(s) you want and you can request a nail technician too if you like. I came with a friend. I got a spa pedicure and she got a full set. The place was serene and nicely decorated. They had all their nail color options displayed very well, so you could see everything easily. They have complimentary drinks- water, pop, tea and hot chocolate; this was such a nice touch. They have free wifi and TVs with slide shows displaying some of their products/services. They also have charging pads located next to each pedicure chair! So convenient and cool! I saw they have chargers and phone stands at each manicure table too, so you can charge your phone there too. This place goes above and beyond to make your experience as good as possible. We didn't have appointments but we did not have to wait long. All the workers are very nice as well. Highly recommend. read more

This is an absolute horror story, I have never had this happen with another business and I am still unsure of what could have caused this. I had a pedicure first, it was great and I tipped, came back for my acrylic set with Mia. I asked for ombré nails which are pretty common nowadays, I wasn't really happy with what she did to begin with and was charged $90 for something I could've had done for 60. I've been having some pain in my nails throughout having the set on, but they were pretty durable and only when going back to work after vacation did two of them break. Im at work today breaking down cardboard and my nail got caught as I pulled the box apart with very little force, and ripped the entire half of the natural nail out of the bed. Mind you, I'm not really able to keep a set on longer than a week and a half because my natural nails just don't hold them well. I came home in emergency as it was bleeding like crazy and soaked in acetone to get the acrylic off and it took an hour and a half of soaking and scraping and lifting. Some of it was gooey and stringy, other parts were flaky but extremely hard. I will never be back and wish I never spent my money here, this lost me 2 hours of work today and I will have to nurse this nail for a few weeks until it's healed. read more

I came in as a walk in 20 minutes after the opened on a Sunday and they took me right in after signing in to their electronic calendar system. I asked for a spa pedicure and it was wonderful. My nail technician was really nice and did a great job with cleaning and painting my nails and smoothing my feet. She was very polite and always asked if I was comfortable. About 10 minutes in the chair a lot of people started coming in and they were getting calls to see how busy they were. The technician recommended making appointments through their online system to ensure they'll be seen. I also recommend this spa for its cleanliness. read more

I took my daughter and myself for mani pedis in prep for our Mommy and Me trip. We tired walking in but boy were they busy. The owner was nice enough to schedule us together toward the end of the day so we could leave and come back rather than wait forever. Our nails look great, and the tech who did my daughter's nails even put a couple flowers on her ring fingers for free. Everything was clean, it smelled good (not like chemicals) and services were reasonably priced. We will definitely be back! read more

Went here with a girlfriend who lives in the area. I got a regular manicure + pedicure for 35 bucks. We went around 1230 on a Sunday and the place had just emptied! Yays! It was so quiet and peaceful in there. We started with pedicures. I've never had one before and it was relaxing without being too ticklish or aggressive. Then I got my manicure by the same technician. I could tell she was a talkative person but I like to just sit. After a few attempts at trying to talk to me I think she got the hint LOL. She did a really nice job. Overall: I really appreciated how even though this place did get busy after we got there, they didn't rush our services along like most places would. They still gave us our time and didn't skimp on any of the steps. I also liked how the tech asked if I liked the shape and the outcome of each process before she moved on to the next step. How awesome! I also liked how the place was clean, unpretentious and had Pandora on the speakers. I would definitely come back here for a full set or gel nails. Looking at the other ladies' nails, this place is the place to go. Too bad its sooo far from my house! If I could afford it, I'd come out here every time to get my nails done! read more

We went at night and got a basic pedicure. I thought they would be busy on a Thursday with no appointment night, but we got right in and didn't have to wait. They had so many colors to choose from I had a hard time narrowing it down. the salon was so clean and not like most places where there is a lot of chatter. It was nice and relaxing I was able to sit back and relax and get massaged by the chair. They did a great job with the pedicure and for a basic I was very pleased with the cost. I will be back again to this salon because they were friendly and make sure they did a good job. read more

I am having a tough time with rating this nail salon , but I think I can safely go with 4 stars for the friendly efficient service received . Lotus is in the Wegmans plaza on Military Rd. The salon is not in any way fancy or pretentious . There are 4-5 nail stations and what seems to be about 10 pedicure chairs . Though the overall "look" of the salon is less than inspiring , the service is very good and I do find the space to be relaxing . My manicurist was very professional and sweet . A gel manicure is $35 at the time of this review . Overall I have been very pleased with the 2 gel manicures I have received . I see no reason to look elsewhere for this service. read more

Wow. I haven't been here in 18+ years...I don't remember it being this nice. In the last few years I've been going to their competitor across the street and have been extremely disappointed every time I leave there. My mom, sister and I just left Lotus in our search to find "our" place. This is it. Not only did they do an amazingly thorough job, but the salon was immaculate. I'm telling you, right down to putting scrubs and lotions back on the shelves when they were finished with them. The color selection was great, I literally could go on and on... I am so glad we can stay local and not have to drive a half hour to get our pedis. read more

In the area for the long weekend and took a chance to get husband and wife mani pedis. Thanks to the reviews we chose this salon and no regrets. I get gel polish with my manicures. Generally, it lasts 2-3 weeks. I had my nails done Wednesday, by Friday one of the nails was chipped, and on Monday night, the polish on one nail POPPED OFF in a solid piece. CHEAP POLISH!! What a waste of time and money! Don't go here. read more

The Lotus nails staff was friendly. Great selection of dip colors and the spiral color display made it easy to choose! Location prefers cash as the card transactions create multiple fees. Left very satisfied. Love that I can book my next appointment online! read more

I definitely won't be going here again. Myself and my two roommates made appointments online for 3:45, 4, and 4:15. While my first roommate was taken at 3:45, myself and my other roommate were not taken until 4:40, which was inconvenient and annoying as an appointment should mean little to no wait time. While my nail tech did a good job on my nails, my roommate was overcharged for hers and not told of upcharges for what she was told was an ombré. While getting my nails done, multiple people came in and walked right out once realizing that there were not enough employees working and the employees that were there moved at slow paces. The most annoying part about this shop was that nowhere do they advertise that they only take cash. Not on the website and not in the salon itself. However, when I went to hand her my card I was informed of such and told I had to use the ATM. Unfortunately, that ATM service fee came right out of her tip. I wouldn't recommend this salon to anyone. read more

I went to lotus nails for the first time yesterday with my best friend- we needed our nails done for an event we were going to later on in the week; having never been there before, but having heard good things about the place, we went in not sure what our experience was going to be like. Let's just say, all of our expectations were exceeded, and it was such a great experience! Being a hardcore perfectionist, it can create a challenge because I like things to look perfect (lol...) My technician was so nice! I am not as talkative as most people up front (as you can tell by my review haha ), it takes awhile to warm up sometimes my manicurist was a bit chatty in the beginning but I think I made her feel like I didn't want to talk... sorry!! The place was super clean and hygienic! It wasn't very busy in there at all, which was good for us! And the price!!! It was super affordable! $17 for a basic manicure is unbelievably awesome!!!!! They were friendly enough here but I was unhappy with the way they conducted their business. I didn't like their methodology and didn't understand the pace of it. One person would work on my nails then someone else would rotate and I didn't know what was going on.
