Do NOT go to this nail salon!! I was a loyal customer for about a year and a half and exclusively went to Cece. But a few months ago the service really started declining. Cece started rushing me all the time, taking on multiple customers at the same time, getting frustrated when you asked question and the quality of the work just declined. This past week she canceled on me last minute so I made an appointment for another day. Life happens. I was excited to try a new shape and design because I always get the same thing. So I showed her a picture, but right away she started doing something different. I'm learning to speak up for myself so nervously I told her I'm not sure if I like the design on my nails because maybe it works best for people with a different nail shape or complexion. I'm not sure if it was a communication issue, she wanted to go home early, or just in a bad mood, but she didn't like that at all. She got really angry, yanked my hands and yelled at me "YOU'RE A TEACHER WHY ARE YOU SO SLOW?!" When I tell you I was in shock... I have never been talked to that way by anyone in my life. I stayed calm, told her to please not speak to me like that and asked her to just give me the same color I always get. I paid for my service, tipped her like I always have and got the hell out of there. I will never return to that place!! read more

It had been 2 years since my last pedicure, and my toes were screaming for help. My mom was getting married and she wanted to make sure her toes were in sparkling order, so I treated her to a pedicure. Orchid is open Sundays, which is extremely helpful when you work Monday through Friday. We were the first to arrive right when they opened at 11am, and were the only ones in the place for our entire experience. The lady I had was very meticulous, friendly, and awesome. My toenails came out lovely. I picked an army green color. My mom's toes came out like a mermaid and she ended up loving it. The service here is great and you can get a classic pedicure for $30, and don't forget the tip. There are many polishes to choose from and the massage chairs are great and hit the spot that I needed them to hit on my lower back. I've only been here twice, but both experiences have been wonderful and I will be back more, and recommend this place for pedicures. read more

This is my go to nail salon. I've had positive experiences here for both manicures and pedicures. They can usually accommodate me right away, or if not, it is only a short wait. They staff is friendly and I am always satisfied with how my nails come out! I was recently introduced to powder dip nails. I've been trying different local nail salons to try and find a regular place to go and this one has by far been the worst! My friend and I had an appointment for gel manicures. When discussing what my friend wanted, they asked if he wanted a matte, glossy or glitter finish. He went with matte, which turned out to be a $5 up charge, this was not communicated with him at all until we went to pay. Secondly, we had appointments, and were in the middle of our service when two people came in as walk ins for eyebrow waxing. My nail technician left my service in order to help these people. Very unprofessional and rude. The technician also didn't seem to know what she was doing. Instead of doing my whole hand and putting it under the lamp to cure, she did each individual finger! A long waste of time and not the way it should have been done. Finally, after only being out of the salon for a few hours my friends manicure started to chip and on a few of his nails the polish completely rubbed off! He went to a different salon to have it fixed and they informed him that this salon actually damaged his nails and they could not do another gel manicure. Wow, I'm so very impressed. Walked in at 11:15 on a Sunday morning for a pedicure. Super glad I upgraded to the spa pedicure, very worth it and highly recommended. Mae did an excellent job! I came here for a dip manicure and thought it was convenient since not very many nail salons are open on a Sunday. I have to say I was not impressed with the lack of dip colors they had available, they only had a handful. The place was understaffed and had long wait times for walk ins. Once I was seated, I felt rushed and didn't feel welcomed to be at Orchid. The dip manicure was messy and I had a film on my nails a few days later. It also took FOREVER to get the dip off my nails soaking in acetone. My nails were a disaster where I had to go to another nail salon to repair. I only get 3 maybe 4 pedicures a year. And I may get half a dozen manicures in a year, when my nails actually grow nice for a while. Since I go relatively rarely, I've never had a nail place I stuck with, I'd just walk in wherever I was near when I had some time for nails. I think I can safely say that Orchid is my go-to nail place now. I've had a couple pedicures and a few manicures there now, and they're always high quality and last a long time. I got a pedicure mid-july, just regular polish, and it lasted well into September. Very clean, very friendly technicians, strong wifi, reasonable prices, quality results on my fingers and my tootsies--what more could I ask for out of a great nail place? I have been to several nail salons but I must say that upon walking into Orchid was a breath of fresh air. I was greeted right away by Tammy and May. I normally wear a overlay with gel polish but 2 nails had come off, when Tammy seen my nails and the fungus that had grown she instantly said that I need to let my nails breathe from the acrylic and consider gel or dip (I liked my other nail tech but she never mentioned any of this when she seen the fungus on my last 2-3 appointments). So I went with her suggestion and got the acrylic removed and I got my nails dipped (which I love). I also got a basic pedicure by May and it was nice, she took her time and she painted my nails with perfection. I will definitely be going back for my bi weekly fills and pedicures. read more

Been here twice in a month already and both experiences have been great! First time I got acrylic. I showed them a picture of what I wanted and they sat me right away. The woman checked with me to make sure they were what I had in mind every step of the way. In the end they were even better than I'd imagined! Went back a couple weeks later to have the acrylic removed. Took less than an hour to have fresh acrylic nails removed (which I regretted immediately - they looked so good!!) and gel painted on my natural nails. 10 out of 10 will definately go again! read more

Have been three times now and every time is just as great as the previous! Have visited the salon for gel manicures and a pedicure and they excel at both. My pedicure is still in great shape two weeks later and the gel manicures last at least two weeks, potentially longer, but my nails grow too quickly to wait much longer to find out. The nail techs at Orchid take their time, check their work, are delicate in removing the old gel polish, and make sure you feel polished and pampered! I happened to see the sign for the grand opening and I was pleased I took a chance with them. The studio is cozy but modern with a large selection of polish. We were in town just for the day and badly needing pedicures, so we gave Orchid a call to ask if they had time for two pedis today, they said yes come on down! We were seated immediately. The staff was very friendly and accommodating. All of the stations are very clean and well maintained, there isn't even a chemical odor like most nail salons have. They made sure we were comfortable and all our needs were met without being pushy about adding on more services than we originally came in for. We decided to treat ourselves with the "spa pedicure" which includes a couple scrubs, paraffin wax, hot towels, and a massage with lotion. This service is $40, and I got gel polish added for an additional $20. They took their time and gave us good thorough pedicures despite being busy and having other people waiting. There were so many colors to choose from hard to narrow it down. We got seated next to each other and they began it was a quick process and within 20 minutes it was done. Came to this salon at 11:30 on a Sunday. It was already so busy! I waited 20 minutes to be seated (no big deal, didn't have an appointment) and started with dip nails. It was my first time getting dip and I have to say I really like it! A gentleman did my dip nails and he was very attentive to detail and asked if I was satisfied every step of the way. I also did a spa pedicure that was great. My technician shaped the nails great and painted very smoothly. Her massage was a little wear and didn't last that long. I took one star off because while the service and product is great, I don't think they're the cleanest nail salon I've been to. I read when doing dip nail, the technician should brush the powder on instead of dipping your nail in the tub to avoid infection. Since everyone else's nails are also dipped in the powder. This salon dipped my nails in the powder. I saw soaking stations for all the tools the technicians use but I know this isn't the best choice of sanitation, instead I look for using new tools that they open from sterilized bags. It could have been worse, but my experience was a little scary. I felt like they were rushing my friends and me to pick colors and sit down. They trimmed my cuticles even though I asked them not to because it makes me extremely anxious, and my nail tech ended up cutting me, repeatedly drawing attention to my anxiety and telling me to just relax, then blaming me for the mistake. Most of the experience made me very uncomfortable. We had to wait for it to stop bleeding before finishing the manicure. My polish is lifting 4 days after getting a gel manicure. I'm surprised this place has so many great reviews because my experience was awful. Came in with a friend, she wanted a regular pedicure and I wanted a regular manicure, and after briefly speaking with someone we weren't sure if we needed an appointment and they just told us to pick a color and sit down. Three other people came in and declared what they needed and sat down. They took my friend for her pedicure after about 30 minutes (they told us after we had been sitting for 10 minutes that it'd be 10-15 minutes) and then took both girls that came in after us until they remembered I was there and sent one of the girls back to the waiting area to take me. I felt bad for that girl, but at that point, I had been waiting for an hour. Maybe that's why my manicure felt extremely rushed? The actual manicure does NOT look good, the polish is extremely uneven on my nails (almost transparent in certain spots, some nails aren't completely painted to the tip of the nail, the polish sunk into my nail beds) and the technician tore up my cuticles. That last part went on for much longer than any other manicure I've ever received so I was kind of concerned and I realized after the fact that I have two small cuts on my fingertips up against the nails, and let me tell you, OUCH. The entire experience was confusing, unorganized, and the actual outcome wasn't worth the wait or the money. So I'm not sure what all these raving reviews are. I came in for a pedicure and the service was good. It was a nice pedicure and it was inexpensive. The massage was just ok. The attention to detail was good and I am very fussy about that. My polish lasted a long time and my feet were smooth. The ambiance is not as nice as some other places. It's small, so it feels a little crowded. There is no delineation between the manicure area and pedicure area to make it more private and more relaxing. That's just a space issue with a smaller place. I didn't feel rushed but I didn't feel all that pampered either.
