It was a busy night but we were quickly seated at the bar and the bar tender was excellent! Hubs ordered pineapple mule and it was so good! I had a spicy margarita with a kick! We ordered tacos, Brussels and crispy potatoes. My favorite dish was the crispy potatoes. They had a great crunch and a hint of sweetness to them! The Brussel were also a knock out! They are served with pickled onions and a carrot puree that sounded like it would taste like baby food. I was so wrong. It was so delicious! Will definitely be going back! Ugh. I hate giving a less than great review, but just about everything was not worth it. I was there for lunch with a coworker friend. There were extremely Small portions and considering the price I expected more. The Mexican restaurant actually charge for chips and salsa. They won't allow substitutes so you can't try two kinds of tacos... fortunately my friend and I ordered two kinds and then swapped in front of the waiter. Tiny amounts of rice and beans. Service was barely ok and I was surprised that he seemed put out when I asked for a *clean* carafe of water ..ick! He only seemed to agree when he noticed that the water carafe bottle was also broken. The downtown restaurant is beautiful and interesting looking although a bit dark. I love this place a lot but also nooooooo they got rid of their wedge salad. It was amazing. One of the best in the city. I think the only salads they have now are ceases and frickin kale. I'm a big time salad guy and this was one of the best salads in the game. Other than that this place is really upper class and nice ambiance. I recommend coming here for a large group and sitting in the round or a romantic date and getting one of the lil booths with faux curtains. Maybe if you ask nicely you can close them. The special today was pork belly and it was well worth it! I don't think it's on the regular menu so be sure to ask. Also, this place is up-scale enough that it's $4 for salsa and the bowl that comes is definitely really tiny and artisan. But good. Prolly too many chips for it. The Carne Asada Taco had good flavor overall but wasn't memorable. I had asked for a single taco not knowing it would be ~$9. That's pretty outrageous - at the end of the day, it's just a taco. Nada is an upscale Mexican eatery located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis Indiana. I visit Indianapolis a few times a year as it is a short trip from my hometown of Louisville. I've had my eye on Nada for a bit and finally gave it a go when in town with some buddies for a uofl football game. Walking in and this modernly decorated and spacious establishment has the elegant and upscale feel to it while also honing in on the fun style most Mexican eateries employ. Our service on our visit was very good. Waitress was quick, attentive and she was very nice and personable. Between us we started with apps of chips and queso and jalepno cheddar cornbread and you can't go wrong with either. Both a tasty treat to get started. Between our group we got the chicken carbon, chicken enchiladas, carne asada tacos and personally went with the 3 cheese enchilada. All of us were extremely satisfied with our meals. Mine was very cheesy which is a plus for a cheese lover like myself. Overall this was a very good and tasty experience. The only negative I could point out is that for the price tag the portions wasn't were of personally like. Now that wouldn't keep me from coming back or recommending this place at all. Worth a visit. I've been to Nada a few times now, and I can definitely say it's a great place to grab some tacos! This isn't your typical Mexican restaurant- so don't expect that. It's more a modern take on Mexican dishes. I also love the decor - it's got a great vibe with bright colors and patterns. We ordered the carne asada tacos, the shrimp tacos, the salsa trio and the potatoes. The potatoes were interesting- they definitely had an Asian-inspired taste to them with a sweet chili sauce. Definitely a bit out of the ordinary. I personally did not love the beans (kind of bland) or the rice (very cilantro-y - it was even green). Service was great! I was actually blown away by how nice Nada was decorated. When you first walk in there is so much open space, seating is really interesting as they have spots right in front of the kitchen overlooking the entire restaurant, and the overall vibes are incredible. We went to celebrate my mother's birthday and when I made the reservation, I was sure to note that. I ordered the chicken fajitas which were really good but if you plan on sharing with someone, the chicken portion is a little small. We also ordered the pork Al pastor tacos which were really delicious. The meat had a nice flavor to it and the pineapple added a nice kick. With a 30 minute wait for a table I opted to sit at the bar. Bartender 1 was busy mixing and took a bit to acknowledge my presence. Someone came after I sat down and sat down a seat over from me-- bartender 2 came over to take his order first-- dude- be a gentleman- I was there before you- bartender 2 didn't know that-- coz he didn't see me sit down first. With a giant 10,000+ person conference in town Indy is overrun with conference goers so gonna cut them slack. Anyway -- I ordered the Bonfire -- bourbon, sweet vermouth, lemon spiced brown sugar and black walnut - a delicious, smooth old-fashioned-type drink- though a bit on the sweeter side...love the gorgeous single ice cube. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup -- this was no cup size. It's a medium-sized bowl -- more than enough for someone with a medium sized appetite-- and is a rich roux-style base - which it turned out that they cook the soup with cotija cheese which gives it a rich, thicker bisque-type texture-- which I prefer to the more broth-based soups. Nice chunks of chicken, and I appreciated the healthy slice of fresh avocado and the crisp tortilla strips. I thought I was going to eat something more - but I'm glad I didn't order everything I thought i wanted to eat at once. After sitting for a few minutes - I realized I was full. Next, I tried the mezcal margarita - well balanced and delicious. I love the smokiness of the mezcal which perfectly complements the tartness of the lime. Finally, for dessert - I went against the recommendation of the bartender and got the churros instead of the tres Leche cake - BIIIIIG mistake...what came out was 3 churros the size of 3x donuts-- definitely not for one person. I had 3 bites and asked for a box. My job is going to be to get this back to California for my family to enjoy without getting sugar all over my clothes! This was my first time here but overall, had a great experience. The ambience is beautiful with spacious and comfy booth seating. We were a rather large party and our waitress was excellent! Food was overall good. Portion sizes are relatively small and if you get any of the steak dishes (fajitas, tacos, etc.), be aware that the steak comes out cooked more on the medium rare side. Tried this place before a Pacers game. Parking garage close by but limited street parking. Wheelchair accessible but has some areas that aren't so if making reservations online make sure you specify needs. Great gluten free options and our waiter was super knowledgeable on this. Mahi tacos fried in tempura batter were full of flavor. Queso dip was more of the texture of cream cheese dip and was wonderful. Suprema margarita on the pricey side but had great flavor and quality liquor. My entire family enjoyed their meals. My daughters had the tres leche cake for dessert and decided this was not as good as Social Cantina in Carmel. The only negative I found was the chocolate water had a strange taste, very off putting and bathrooms were cold as ice with no paper towels. I had no expectations and yet, I was still let down with an underwhelming experience. It did not help that I wasn't finding much beauty in the heart of Indiana aka Indianapolis, but a somewhat upscale Mexican restaurant in the downtown Indy should have set off some questionable alarms in my head. Could be it's because it is a Saturday night, or the Buffalo Bills are in town to put a smack down on the Colts the next day (they did), or maybe because the Indy Monumental Marathon just wrapped up a few hours prior. Could be all of the above. Naive me thought maybe there was something to the cuisine. I was wrong. Nothing tasted terrible. Frankly, I don't think anything had much of a taste. But Nada sure had the audacity to price the item menus as if they did have some world class factor into play. I am doubling down on the word, 'audacity', because these guys really had the nerve to not include beans to nearly any entreé they had. Fajitas without beans? I'm not spending anything more to get a side that should be included, in my view. It was just a lackluster meal in a lackluster setting. I don't blame them for being stuck in Indy. I'm a hoity toity city boy, I expect some level of taste in my meals. Sorry, Nada. Hope you get a full house like that every Saturday night. Maybe then, my opinion won't mean much to you. read more

First time trying Nada and it did not disappoint! I loved the Mexican resort vibes in here. We were seated right away on a Friday evening and the service was really quick throughout the night. We started with the guac and the habanero salsa and they were both perfectly flavorful! I got the Baja fish tacos as an entree and they were amazing! I had a great experience with Nada, we got a seat right away and seated in a cozy booth. The menu was easy to read and has plenty of selection for us to choose from. The kids menu was fun for them to order. They ordered the chicken tenders and 2 taco's which was very tasty. I looked around almost embarrassed as I finished all 3. They no longer allow you to select different tacos (again, haven't been in a few years so not sure when this changed). I was certainly not disappointed by the al pastor. The food was so good that I decided to order a carry out a couple weeks later. I have to admit their corn tortillas are just not as good unless fresh. Next time, I'll be sure to eat at the restaurant. I can't wait to try different tacos. So why not 5 stars if I loved my food? This place has a beautiful ambiance and tons of photo opportunities. My family and I had the pleasure of dining here on October 8th for my daughter's 19th birthday. I drank water with my meal but several others in our party ordered margaritas; I had a sip of one and it was very tart. I ordered the queso dip as an appetizer and it was delicious. I was sharing with my aunt and it was so good that she wound up ordering a bowl for herself. Four thumbs up! For my entree, I shared a plate of enchiladas with my daughter (to me, it wasn't very good but she ate all of her portion). I also had a piece of the roasted chicken that my fiancé had ordered. It was tender and juicy, but wasn't very well seasoned. The elote was dry. My biggest complaint and reason for the low score was the customer service. Our server was absentee and hard to locate when we needed something. When she did check on us, we'd ask for things and she would take forever to bring them back or just forget altogether. When the bill came, I felt enlightened. Why work hard to provide a good experience when your tip is already added into the tab?! It was very nice that they provided a butcher board presentation of churros with chocolate and caramel for dipping for my daughter's birthday. Unfortunately, the table was covered with dirty plates and empty glasses that hadn't been cleared resulting in there being barely any room to sit the board, ruined pics/videos and a birthday dress sleeve with chocolate on it because the board was basically in the birthday girl's lap! I almost forgot... our evening ended with some inebriated folks putting on a show. One guy stood on the "catwalk" to dance and sing while his friends cheered him on. My lovely niece and I dined here for a Sunday Brunch. This was my first rodeo in Nada and my niece...well let's just say she has been there a time or two :)... I had a lingering desire for a quality margarita and I immediately ordered one. However, not at the door but once we were seated, LOL! After one sip, I knew that I would not go anywhere else for a classic margarita. The Nada margarita is hands down the best in the city. We ordered the following: Salsa Flight (All three of them were a hit) and the chips were a win. You get a classic red, green and a speciality additional green dip that it seasoned to perfection! I ordered Baha Tacos that was prepared in a Tempura batter. They were solid and I ate them all. My lovely niece ordered the Salmon Tacos and she said she would in fact order them again. Now the real treat was the grand finale...The Churros. I could eat their version of the classic dessert for brekkie, lunch and dinner. It is also served with chocolate and caramel dipping sauces. Nada was spot on with their take on elevated Mexican fare and I will be back. The aesthetics is casual upscale, if that makes sense. You can go in casual and not feel out of place or you could walk in dressed to impress and still feel like you are in the right place. It is beautifully designed and I am sure at night it elevates to something special. It seems perfect for any occasion: birthday, anniversary, girls night out, date night or brunch with your lovely niece. We ordered chicken quesadillas and the salsa trio. The quesadillas were not even taco bell quality and exceptionally expensive for not including rice or beans as a side. They were incredibly devoid of filling and the flattest quesadillas I've ever had. They came with pathetically small dollops of guac and sour cream. If there was to be pico we couldn't identify it. The salsa trio was a bit of an improvement. The chips are excellent and the salsas are adequate, but should not he $11. The salsa trio should be 1/3 that cost for what you get. For a meal that was over $50 we received food equal to $15 worth at a typical latin restaurant. I would not recommend dining with Nada. read more
