My wife and I stopped by Nada for dinner before going to a concert and we were pleasantly surprised by this gem. The service was amazing. They were very attentive and friendly. The restaurant's decor set the perfect evening vibe. The star of the show was the food of course. It was absolutely delicious. We both left there agreeing that we would definitely eat there again!

Baja Style Crispy Mahi Lunch Tacos (~$17) & Carne Asada Taco (~$9)

Ordered: Spirit-Free Lychee Mojito (~$9) Baja Style Crispy Mahi Lunch Tacos (~$17): topped with cabbage, chipotle crema, pickled red onion, and pico de gallo; served with black beans & rice topped with pico de gallo and cotija cheese Carne Asada Taco (~$9): topped with shredded lettuce, pickled red onion, lime crema, and cheese Aya's take: I honestly didn't expect to have Mexican in Indy but here we are! It was pretty close to my hotel and I decided to give it a try. I started off with the Spirit-Free Lychee Mojito which was actually pleasant! From the sweetness of the lychee to the freshness of the mint, it was super refreshing overall. It's slightly pricier than I would've expected for a mocktail like this. Now onto the food! The Lunch Tacos is a good deal as you get 2 big tacos and a side. The Baja Style Crispy Mahi were crispy, fluffy, and not dry. All the toppings were fresh and elevated each bite nicely. The Carne Asada Taco had good flavor overall but wasn't memorable. I had asked for a single taco not knowing it would be ~$9. That's pretty outrageous - at the end of the day, it's just a taco. I loved the black beans & rice my dish came with. The rice was fragrant, the black beans had good flavor, and the cotija cheese was a nice touch! It certainly isn't the best Mexican food I've had but for the area and options in their menu, it does the job!

Steak Tacos. At $23 expected more.

Service was good... 5*. Tacos were served fast and pretty good, but not special. 3* Flour Tortillas with Chicken n Steak tacos seemed dry and bought. Park Pastor were corn and looked fresh. Best item we ordered was brussel sprouts and chips.

Nada is an upscale Mexican eatery located in the heart of downtown Indianapolis Indiana. I visit Indianapolis a few times a year as it is a short trip from my hometown of Louisville. I've had my eye on Nada for a bit and finally gave it a go when in town with some buddies for a uofl football game. Walking in and this modernly decorated and spacious establishment has the elegant and upscale feel to it while also honing in on the fun style most Mexican eateries employ. Our service on our visit was very good. Waitress was quick, attentive and she was very nice and personable. Between us we started with apps of chips and queso and jalepno cheddar cornbread and you can't go wrong with either. Both a tasty treat to get started. Between our group we got the chicken carbon, chicken enchiladas, carne asada tacos and personally went with the 3 cheese enchilada. All of us were extremely satisfied with our meals. Mine was very cheesy which is a plus for a cheese lover like myself. Overall this was a very good and tasty experience. The only negative I could point out is that for the price tag the portions wasn't were of personally like. Now that wouldn't keep me from coming back or recommending this place at all. Worth a visit. Cool atmosphere, good food and great service. Also the men's room has a really cool he-man toy display over the urinals. So that's cool to see too!

Server was so so helpful. It was a Tuesday evening and sat in front room to the left. Lively atmosphere. Make a reservation for any night of the week. Very noisy and tables are close together but the food is INCREDIBLE. I had the pork belly tacos and crispy potatoes, perfectly seasoned and spiced. The tacos were so interesting and tasty. Loved the peppers and sauce.

I've been to Nada a few times now, and I can definitely say it's a great place to grab some tacos! This isn't your typical Mexican restaurant- so don't expect that. It's more a modern take on Mexican dishes. I also love the decor - it's got a great vibe with bright colors and patterns. We ordered the carne asada tacos, the shrimp tacos, the salsa trio and the potatoes. The potatoes were interesting- they definitely had an Asian-inspired taste to them with a sweet chili sauce. Definitely a bit out of the ordinary. I personally did not love the beans (kind of bland) or the rice (very cilantro-y - it was even green). Service was great! They did change the menu from my last review, along with some of the ways they serve their food, so I'm updating from that.

This place has such a vibe!!! The decor is vibrant and inviting. The staff was immediately friendly and welcoming. I sat at the bar and they continuously checked up on me to make sure all was well. With some great gluten free options, I was thrilled! I ordered the shrimp fajitas with corn tortillas it was to die for! Delicious flavors and a great portion. Highly recommend you visit!

Ordered takeout and it was ready for me soon after I got to the restaurant. Tacos were so flavorful and delicious! Highly recommend!

Another wonderful meal at Nada. It is my go-to whenever I'm in Indy. The Brussels are to die for and all of the tacos are great too. This time we devoured all of our tacos. For whatever reason there was a very faint cigarette smell inside the restaurant which knocks down a star for me but I know I will still return again soon.

I was actually blown away by how nice Nada was decorated. When you first walk in there is so much open space, seating is really interesting as they have spots right in front of the kitchen overlooking the entire restaurant, and the overall vibes are incredible. We went to celebrate my mother's birthday and when I made the reservation, I was sure to note that. I ordered the chicken fajitas which were really good but if you plan on sharing with someone, the chicken portion is a little small. We also ordered the pork Al pastor tacos which were really delicious. The meat had a nice flavor to it and the pineapple added a nice kick. Since I had mentioned the birthday in the reservation, they brought us out some churros--which were INCREDIBLE. We were actually so full from our meal but had to indulge in the churros.

With a 30 minute wait for a table I opted to sit at the bar. Bartender 1 was busy mixing and took a bit to acknowledge my presence. Someone came after I sat down and sat down a seat over from me-- bartender 2 came over to take his order first-- dude- be a gentleman- I was there before you- bartender 2 didn't know that-- coz he didn't see me sit down first. With a giant 10,000+ person conference in town Indy is overrun with conference goers so gonna cut them slack. Anyway -- I ordered the Bonfire -- bourbon, sweet vermouth, lemon spiced brown sugar and black walnut - a delicious, smooth old-fashioned-type drink- though a bit on the sweeter side...love the gorgeous single ice cube. I ordered the chicken tortilla soup -- this was no cup size. It's a medium-sized bowl -- more than enough for someone with a medium sized appetite-- and is a rich roux-style base - which it turned out that they cook the soup with cotija cheese which gives it a rich, thicker bisque-type texture-- which I prefer to the more broth-based soups. Nice chunks of chicken, and I appreciated the healthy slice of fresh avocado and the crisp tortilla strips. I thought I was going to eat something more - but I'm glad I didn't order everything I thought i wanted to eat at once. After sitting for a few minutes - I realized I was full. Next, I tried the mezcal margarita - well balanced and delicious. I love the smokiness of the mezcal which perfectly complements the tartness of the lime. Finally, for dessert - I went against the recommendation of the bartender and got the churros instead of the tres Leche cake - BIIIIIG mistake...what came out was 3 churros the size of 3x donuts-- definitely not for one person. I had 3 bites and asked for a box. My job is going to be to get this back to California for my family to enjoy without getting sugar all over my clothes! I was so conflicted about where to eat tonight -- I was walking toward 1933 Lounge again which is where I ate last night - and came across this one. I'm glad I stopped in.

Went on the go to get a comfort dish and also sweetness. Chose the Mac and cheese, it was a bit salty to my taste, after 2 bites threw it away. The dessert tres leches cake was moist and soft, just how I like it. I waited 30 minutes for my food to be ready and the restaurant was not busy. Room for improvement.

The drinks, the ramen, the dessert...we love it all, and we love spending our money at a local business. For years now, the kitchen has substituted rice for ramen for me because I have gluten intolerance. I have always asked respectfully, explained why, and said thank you, every single time. Tonight my husband and I walked down to Strangebird for dinner, ordered drinks and dinner, and I had *just* said to my husband that Strangebird has come to feel like a second home. Then the server came out and told us that the chef has decided they will no longer permit any modifications, including those that meet dietary needs. We were out on the quiet patio surrounded by other customers, so on top of being totally blindsided, it was actually pretty embarrassing, too. Folks, let me tell you how much I wish I could just eat the ramen noodles like everybody else. So much food that I love (and in some cases spent years learning to make myself) went out the window forever when my body stopped being able to handle wheat. But at Strangebird, I could still go in and enjoy the depth of flavor in every other component of a bowl of ramen. And that meant the absolute world to me. I'm heartbroken.

Keagan Fife (Manager) - A team player, receptive to feedback and conscientious. We had a issue while there and he was able to step in and problem solve with me and come up with a solution that really won us over. We had a moment where it was feeling a bit "why did we come here" but his customer service exceeded expectation. That's good management. (He's the gentleman in the video below.) Let's get the negative out the way 1st. The first waitress asked if we wanted anything to drink. I told her we hadn't received menus. She came back sat them down and walked away. We never saw her again. A new waitress came and she seemed pleasant enough. Once we were all seated she began to take our orders. She made a point to say she needed to write it all down or she was get it mixed up. She then did not write anything down. Our food came out extremely slow but that wasn't a huge deal because we all were mingling. A lot of her team had to step in and deliver our food, give drinks, check on us etc. She was pretty non existent. Two of the ladies never received food. This was after we had been there for 2 hours and everyone else had received their items. At the end when we asked for our check they were all mixed up and confused. The waitress then blamed us for adding things and moving around. We never moved once and she only came around the one time when she originally took our orders. We never got a chance to add things. (it was quite comical that she tried to say that) I ended up asking for manager because she seemed overwhelmed and a bit bias about our group. Assuming that we wouldn't want one check and splitting them because she figured we would want it that way and then blaming us because she did it when we never asked for split. There rule is parties over 8 have to have 1 bill and we never asked for an exception. There was just her assumption that a group of black women wouldn't want to do that. (I digress) There were a few more things but I will end it there. That was the big negative. Now the positive!!! Ambiance 10/10 - great views, great music, great location, umbrellas on roof were great although a but wobbly and scary. Also, they come around with complimentary sunglasses while dining. I thought this was a nice and luxurious touch! Food 8/10 - most food received was delicious Service 9/10 - everyone except for our server was great! Everyone who pitched in to help was awesome! Ended up tipping a different server who basically helped us the whole time. Bless his heart because I know he was super busy. As stated above management handle the situation well. I would definitely go back! I try to give people a chance. I think our server may have been overwhelmed and had a past experience that left her bias against our group but hopefully she can grow and get better. Her actions don't reflect the restaurant as a whole! Go and enjoy the vibes and views!
