Walked in with a group for breakfast. As we were about to order off the super cheap / old school dry erase board menu I noticed the cooks had no gloves on and he was making the food literally touching the items with his bare hands. The sign says they've been in business since 1972....so Mytiburger's got something. Hot, deliciously salty fries. Fresh out of the fryer, so hot I couldn't eat them right away although I desperately wanted to! The fries were the highlight of my meal. They ran out of buns for my junior burger so the counter guy came to my table to ask me if I minded if I got a larger wheat bun - no big deal at all. I just tore off the extra bread, I don't need all that anyway. I appreciated them asking me instead of surprising me with a bun that was an inch too big all the way around. That would've been weird and if not for them giving me a heads up, I would have probably reviewed how unnecessarily huge the bun was. Credit! I ordered a Junior Mytiburger and it came exactly how I ordered it. It would be better with more cheese though. They put a good amount of mustard pickles and onions on it. MMMMM. My husband ordered a patty melt and he thought it was a little chintzy. It did look small compared to the other PM's he's ordered thru the years. The MytiBreakfast is the best bet for a good breakfast sampling at a reasonable price. MytiBreakfast: 2Eggs Bacon, Sausage, or Ham Toast (wheat/white) or Biscuit Hash Browns or Grits The Pancake special Breakfast Sandwhich on toast ( how you want it) is also decent. Parking is ok. Watch out for the craters in the parking lot. Restrooms are clean. Burgers,etc are so-so and again cooked on the spot. On their best day a 3 Star just because they are average. The Management for this location and not the one in Oak Forrest (34th st) which is NOT related is Poor. They can never keep employees. The owners are rude and crass. The lady owner was very rude and unreasonable to me on one occasion that I'll never forget. She was so argumentative over such a simple thing I can understand why they have personnel issues. Ordered the Chicken Fried Steak today. Texas Toast. And French Fries. And coffee. This dish from Mytiburger was simply terrible. The Texas Toast had an odd goo texture in the middle and hinted of seafood? I couldn't eat it. The CFS was thin and was obviously from a pre-packaged frozen set. The gravy on top was twice as thick as the meat. To the extent there was meat in there. The fries were simply terrible. 3x the amount of salt I could stand. There is no excuse on Earth for this low quality of dish. The "chef" should lose the right to reside in Texas. How a person claims to own or operate a restaurant in Texas serving this crap is beyond me. What they did better than other stuff: the coffee was good and person taking my order was friendly. My table only had two scraps of food on it from the previous person. There is unlimited ketchup available. Perhaps someone in management should sample the food and take corrective action to avoid future instances of serving the disgusting inexcusable low quality CFS I had there today. They cook breakfast well. And it's cheap. But that CFS was plumb TERRIBLE!!! read more

I have seen this place many times but I had not yet visited. I had a hankering for a burger last Saturday evening and decided to give them a shot. I ordered a burger to go. The service was fine and the wait was short, partly because I was the only customer on a Saturday evening at about 6:30, not a good sign. I could not have been less impressed with the burger. The bun was cold and the meat was a joke. It was very thin, black and very, very well done. Yuck. At least it wasn't burned. It appeared to have been a burger which just sat on a dry, warm grill for a few hours. I don't believe I have ever had a thinner piece of meat masquerade as a burger. Rolled in on a Wednesday night with the family for some dinner. I was skeptical by the outside appearance but it came personally recommended by one of my wife's friends. The menu is a prime example of simplicity. Two adults and two younglings bagged a meal for 26 bills & change out the door. Very reasonable. The burger was made to order and the veggies were fresh. The fries were perfectly cooked and fresh. The only complaint and the missing star is due to the tea...it sucks! My kid's chicken strips & chicken sandwich were perfectly cooked as well. I go Myti Burger on kempwood because of the staff they are always so friendly and it's food is pretty good. Or should I say it use to be this way! In the last 2 months they have gotten my order wrong. I call and all I get is manager is busy or thank you for letting me know. Well enough is enough. Not only is the burger joint 30 minutes out of me way. But the new staff s so RUDE! How do you get a beef patty out of a chicken sandwich order. I would go there usually twice a week as I was on my way to a clients house. I ordered food for both of us. I call to speak to the manager and am told he's to busy to talk and hangs up. So I wait an hour do the same and am told he's not there. I will NEVER be back to this fast food place. As there are much better places with great service. Manager finally called me back. Asked me the time and who took order I gave her the information. Then she tells me oh well maybe next time we will get it right. There will be NO next time. Waaaaay better than fast food and better than most of the $20 "gourmet burgers" you find at every single gastro pub these days. A lot of people praise Lankford Grocery for their burgers but these put a chokehold on those burgers plus the cost for two burgers and fries is less than Lankford.
