The grooming sessions have been rushed and always like they were done last minute and so sloppy. Today I brought him on the dot for his 2:30pm appt and he was taken in back at 2:45pm. The drop off seemed reassuringly thorough because it was supervised by Alex the store general manager and we spent 15m selecting the length and my requests. He stated that Eun was fast and Mochi would be done about 4:30pm. I returned at 4:30pm and was told they needed another 30m. He wasn't done until 5:45pm. He was trimmed by a razor, but none of my requests were fulfilled. His legs were not stove piped (see the summer lawn pics) and his ears were too short and uneven, s well as prts of his jawline, the face was sloppy and uneven, and WORST of all his private were nicked. If I had noticed that in-store, I would have gone off. As it was I was beyond furious and needed to compose myself. Look at the pic of his poor penis. JFC what the hell.

Occasionally forget to trim nails. I would give 5 stars because I really like the groomers, but the only thing that drives me crazy is the trainer in the lobby. While I realize she is trying to run a business, it's terrible to arrive for check in for grooming and being told "don't do this. Stand away from this dog. etc. etc." I want to be understanding, but the last visit it got downright rude. Perhaps there is not enough space? Maybe there is a more conducive location? Not sure, but I do know that our pups are scared enough to come to the groomer and when we arrive we are trying to keep them calm with calm voices because they can sense everything.

I don't know if it's a chain-wide issue, but this store has not been maintaining inventory like they used to. We feed our guys Natural Balance Limited Ingredient with "wholesome" grain, but their stock of various sizes and varieties has been thinning out. Last month, this store was sold out of a particular Kong toy. A helpful cashier called the warehouse and arranged for the items to be shipped directly to us. I received an order confirmation email that same day. The next day, I received a notice that the order was delayed. Then, one week later, I was informed that the order was canceled. I did not cancel it and no explanation was given (I was not charged). Last week, I received an email coupon whose subject line stated "Unleash Savings! $50 off just for you," but the actual coupon read "$40 off" (see screenshot). I pointed out the discrepancy to the cashier. When he scanned the coupon, it came up as invalid altogether. He spent considerable time and effort trying to get the bar code to work, but in the end he summoned the manager, who subtracted $50 manually. Petco needs to get its act together.

When they asked to see the hamster, the employee said store policy did not allow that. My wife then explained that she wasn't going to touch or move the hamster, she just wanted to look at it because they were all hiding. After that, the employee asked whether we had a proper place to keep it. My wife said yes, because we had a hamster living with us for several years (3-4 years), and we had also bought it from Petco together with everything it needed. She even roughly showed the size of the hamster cage we have, but he said it was too small and that the hamster would be uncomfortable. After that, my wife asked to speak with the manager, and the employee walked away somewhere. She waited a few minutes and then went to the register to ask for the manager again. The store manager came over and said something along the lines of the employee thinking the hamster would not be comfortable, but then said that she actually could sell it to us. As strange as this may sound, by the time this whole discussion with the employees was over, the kids no longer wanted the hamster -- they just wanted to leave the store as quickly as possible. Maybe this review will help someone save their time and nerves. Thank you for understanding.

We usually only come to a Petsmart to get dog food for the dog's occasional visits to our home. Our last visit here though did involve picking up some starter feeder fish (29 cents per fish, and they are used as food for bigger fish if not sold) for the kiddos as their first pets and the friendly staffer here was helpful and a fun guy. The grand-darlings were given full responsibility for daily feeding and weekly water changing and they did ok I guess, as those fish lasted a week. They are on their second batch of slightly bigger fish, and they're still alive after a month or so, so they are improving their pet owning skills. Thank you Petsmart for adequately meeting our pet needs.
