This is the first time I can comment on her scissor work as we've been watching a family member's golden retriever for the past week. Charlie was overdue for a groom and Christina worked her magic! He came back bathed, trimmed, nails done, ears cleaned, and blow dried in an hour! Christina was able to turn his gremlin feet into the most beautifully shaped paws I've ever seen. The last few days, she came to our home with our puppy to help acclimate her to us and to our 3yr old 15# beagle. When she came back home, it was like she was a 3yr old trained dog. Shannon kept in contact, kept us informed, asked permission about some choices, explained, and I felt confident our puppy was receiving good care. Our situation with 2 dogs is on her Facebook page and I am happy to be called upon for recommendation to people who are inquiring. We will continue having lessons at home and are working with our beagle on some things also. What a rewarding and positive experience this has all been. I look forward to continuing to learn more, as a handler, and to build a relationship with K9.

During the intake, she failed to mention she would be using a shock collar, despite knowing the dog came from an abusive past and knowing the dog was receptive to other positive training techniques but just needed a professional. The dog had never been trained before being fostered and just needed help with not pulling on his leash or jumping to say hi to people in a non-aggressive way. Think of someone who has never had attention, interaction or socializing and is getting it for the first time. You're gonna need to learn how to reign it in. Shannon was about to show up at my door with a shock collar strapped to the dog's neck without ever letting me know at the one week checkin. Once I found out that she expected me to continue using a shock collar on this dog I was fostering, she sent me a series of unprofessional text messages putting the owness on me and trying to guilt trip me despite me asking her to not contact me. If you believe in training your dog in a humane, positive environment where you don't have and "surprises" by the trainer, look elsewhere. By the way--many professional associations and other trainers don't approve of using pain to train dogs--despite what Shannon believes.

Screenshot the call log to proof they contacted me and they stated just because I applied doesn't mean I'll be a good match.... Which I understand however what I don't understand is why did they contact me just to ignore very unprofessional and seems like a way to just get people to apply and pay for the adoption fees.

He was waiting in line and had already checked in. Someone was supposed to go in and grab him before entering the back and once these other people came, they completely ignored him. They hadn't even checked in yet. (Why did the other couple get priority over us?) (They were obviously holding the cat for them+ paid extra.) For context, He had gotten off work and had a couple of dirt stains on his jeans. It was also our daughter's birthday. We left without a cat because they judged upon his appearance and lied about multiple details. We placed an application on a sunday they said that they gave the cat to the other people because they placed one on saturday. They 100% hold cats. Their place is also disgusting!! All of the cats seem to be very sick and uncared for. Poop everywhere in the kittens section. There is also a tan worker who is very rude, same with a tall white man. They have extremely unpleasant attitudes. If you encounter these people, avoid them!! The woman kept pressuring my boyfriend about his personal life and getting extremely personal and uncomfortable. Horrible experience. I would not recommend going here if you really care about the health of your cat and customer service. They are not nice people. Very judgmental. Anyone who responds to this review is going to twist this story. I know very well what happened and how we were treated. DO NOT COME HERE. I really mean it when i say i am not a mean person myself! This places deserves a 0 star. A whole bunch of old cranky people on the job.

We have a Bernese Mountain Dog and a French Bulldog - who are obviously very different in terms of both personality and their needs. This past 8 nights, one of her employees Jim stayed overnight in our home with the dogs. He texted me to let me know how things were going regularly and he seemed to genuinely love spending time with the dogs. Our Berner can be stubborn so I typically tell the dog sitters not to walk her, but Jim took both of them on walks daily in order to keep them out of the messy yard. We returned home to 2 calm dogs, without any issues! We joked that the house looks cleaner than when we left - he definitely took care of cleaning up after the messy dogs (which I don't usually expect!) Melissa is great in responding for last minute visits if we are out unexpectedly and now we feel that when it's time for vacation, we can go again without worrying about the dogs!

We have been bringing our dog, Ruffles, here since we we got him a couple years ago. He is a poodle…read moremix so he has a lot of hair, but they do such a good job with him. The first time we brought him in, they explained how he did not care for his face and other areas being trimmed, so they eased him into it and tried to make him feel as comfortable as possible. He has a lot of puppy energy and is very vocal and playful, and they they do such a good job of putting up with and caring for him! Over time, he has become a lot more comfortable with the grooming process and we attribute that to how patient and kind they have been to our pup.

Unfortunately after years of trying to correct behavioral and paying hundreds of dollars trying to correct this nothing worked. I reached out to Marsha Perry in 2020 to inform her of the problems and she simply told me to look into training (which we already had spend hundred on). In March of 2024 I reached out to her again to tell her I had tried everything and couldn't keep the dog anymore. Marsha said "ROAR has not been doing dogs for many years and has transitioned to mostly cats". She also said "can't he be kept in a cage or in a separate area of the house?" She became extremely vile, unresponsive at times and simply refused to help. At the time do adoption we were told they would take the dog back NO QUESTIONS ASKED, should "life happen" and we could keep him anymore. Clearly not the case. I continued to reach out to other rescues in the area and unfortunately a few months later my husband lost his job, we had to move in with family and their senior dog gets severe anxiety around other dogs. So keeping our behavioral complex dog was not an option. I reached out to a shelter in desperation and explained to them everything that Marsha had said to me. I even showed them emails and they were APPALLED! They were happy to take him in and take care of him. A few days later Marsha emails me with a very nasty tone "I can't believe you thought this was a better option for him." Ummm...you left me no choice! Please stay away from this organization. Not only will they NOT honor signed contracts, the owner Marsha will harass you, belittle you and be flat out be nasty to you. I have reported this organization. These people shouldn't be allowed to continue to foster animals. I can only imagine how they treat those poor animals.
